This place SUCKS. Received call that part came in. Made appointment. Drove Motor Coach 3 hours to have part installed. Sat around about 40 minute THEN were told...Sorry but the repair will take 3 days because we have to have Fleetwood on the phone while making the repair. Had we been told we had to drop it off for 3 days we would have made the proper arrangements. My only day off spent on the road to get here to repair the stove that has never worked due to a kinked propane line and now to just turn around and go back with no repair. Customer service rating: -ZERO STARS!!!!!! Tip: Be sure you ask all kinds of questions before heading to Brown RV pertaining to the repair because they aren't going to cover any of the scenarios with you. Call and speak to more than just one person too. 9/16/2016. In response to Brown RV The only reason Fleetwood was contacted and any other attempts made by Brown RV was because WE called Fleetwood and had them speak to Brown RV. After I was told ... " I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the repair is going to take 3 days and we have to have Fleetwood on the line while we are doing it" Brown RV was done. I approached the counter while my husband was speaking with Fleetwood on the phone and I was told, "Can I help you?" Uhhh yeah! You think we were just going to leave after being told the bad news? After driving 3 hours and wasting $150 in gas?? No ma'am! So WE contacted Fleetwood and that is why Brown RV even had a conversation with them. Not because they went out of their way to help us. Brown's is the only RV dealership in the area and that is probably why they get such a poor rating. If this place had to compete with anyone they'd go out of business in a week. Several years ago we purchased a pop-up camper from them, it was a display model and we got a good price on it, however it had been left outside and some of the components like the stove and awning rust and wear on them. We were told that the stove would be replaced, but after several inquiries over three months we gave up. We also had them wire our vehicle for pulling the camper and it wasn't until years later when we purchased a new car that I discovered they had wired it wrong. I had to rewire the connections in order to get it functioning correctly. Several times we've had to order parts for the camper and each time it's taken months for the part to come in, and they never call to let you know they have it either. Like I said before these guys are the only game in town, so yesterday I call to see if they can do some repair work on our pop-up camper. The guy tells me they don't work on pop-ups any longer. I ask, not even the ones you sold? He absolutely would not say they don't work on pop-ups that they sold, just that they don't work on pop ups. I asked him three times to be clear and each time he evaded the question. We also have a friend that purchased a mobile RV. He bought it used and now it needs work. He didn't buy from Brown's but again they won't work on it. Hard to believe when this place has RV's the size of the titanic on the lot. So, buyer beware. First there is no guarantee anything you buy from here will be repaired after the warranty period and certainly don't try to stop here if you are passing through, it's likely to be a waste of your time. read more

I contacted this establishment about purchasing an RV. I got the run around and was told I would be called back for over a week and a half by " Ray ". The camper I was interested has been sold and I was offered a camper over 4000 more in price. I did some research and the SAME exact camper was 3000 cheaper at another dealership. After an email to them stating that fact I have not heard from them since. Very shady people from my experience. read more

We were very pleasantly surprised with Brown's RV service. After purchasing our RV in California we drove to North Carolina and after a couple of days our heater quit working. We were assured by the company in California that with the extra service plan that we purchased, for not just a little bit, we could get priority service anywhere in the US. We couldn't evenly connect with THE CA company to have them tell us where to take it. After checking around and calling around ourselves we found Brown's RV. When we got there the front desk person knew who we were and had the mechanic we talked to on the phone out right away. Within about 2 hour not only did we have our heater fixed but also a power shade fixed that was stuck. We'll definitely use Browns RV service as long as we're in NC. read more

Dont believe the hype about the "lifetime warranty ". They charge a $200 fee for annual service. Besides that, I had a leak after owning mine for a year and they tried to charge an additional $150. I ordered a new pontoon boat 28 Sep 2020 from The boat sales manager during my 4 month wait to get the boat built, I never received a call from my boat Sales Manager updating me on the process of my boat, trailer or motor. I order a 115 motor. After trying many times to get an update on the progress of my order the salesman/ manager never returned my calls. What a way to treat a customer! After 4 months if waiting it finally came in. After having it in my possession for 3 months I had a few small problems so I contacted the Boat Sales Manager and he state can you bring it in next Monday I said sure no problem (40 mile ride one way) when I took it in on Monday he said he should have it ready Friday. Friday came and I called the sales manager wasn't in. I tried checking with the service department but they had no idea. Then I called the sales manager he's said they were waiting on a part I could pick it up Monday. Monday came and no call from the boat manager. So I called got ahold of someone in service they said check back Wednesday. Tuesday evening I call the Boat Sale Manager left a message on his voice mail to call me. I received no phone call. On Wednesday I decided to go in person. When I got there I asked for the Boat Saled Manager he came walking into the reception area. I asked did you receive my call? He was responds was yes. Then he got an attitude. I asked to speak to the owner Mr Brown but he didn't have time to talk to me. Guess cause I'm just another customer. I did get to speak to the General Manager. Probably to no avail! I am totally discussed with the performance of Browns RV Superstore! Seems like everything is fine till they get your hard earned dollars! My first review i did of Browns RV during the first 6 months of ownership the place was the pits for service. First review i done was google. Well this summer they have worked hard with some new employees to repair their image for repair work. My Starcraft bought in Aug. 2020 must have been built by farm animals. There were so many things wrong with it. Some of these things should have been caught when they checked it over before it left the lot. I called with a window leak we found after the camper had been parked under the shed for 3 months. I had washed it under the shed and was packing for a trip and found in the dinette storage was wet and the linens in their and side wall was covered in black mold. I called Brown's and it was 1 week past my 1 year purchase date. They kept it overnite and the window seal was in backwards and was able to pack and take our trip. My daughter is in her starcraft now and she to has had many issues. Her last trip in Aug. her stove had a recall had they capped off the gas stove and this week it is still capped off. The warped piece of paneling still sticking out. It was like that when they bought it. i was happy with my last service visit. That made up for the other 3 visits. read more

We purchased a 2020 Forest River Grey Wolf Limited from Browns RV on Sept 19th. We picked our camper up on Sept 24th. We planned a short trip the next weekend and upon returning home we had an issue with the slide out. It would not slide out correctly and after trying several times we decided to return it to Browns and let the service department look at it. This was not a major concern for us because we have had campers and there can be small glitches that need to be repaired. The service department told us that new motors and rails would need to be installed. Still we were acceptable of the situation. When we called a week later, we were told that they were waiting on approval for the warranty work and had not ordered the parts. I thought this was poor customer service because when the salesman bragged on their great Warranty he never mentioned "upon approval" but we are still trying to be optimistic with Browns. So, skipping past the multiple calls, the multiple waiting on hold just to be told everyone is either with a customer, on vacation or busy and they will call you back we STILL do not have our camper. Today is November the 3rd and for the last week we have called and have been able to speak with no one or to even get a call back. We have no idea what is going on with the repair or when we could possibly expect to get our camper back. To be honest what really upsets me (other than the fact that we had the camper a WEEK and they have had it for almost 5 WEEKS) is the lack of communication and the rude disrespect you get when you try to get someone to call you back. The customer service when you are thinking about buying a camper is excellent but once they have your money it is over and heaven forbid if you need warranty work completed. We tried to stay away from large RV stores thinking that smaller "Family Owned" would be our best service. SO disappointed in Browns RV from the bottom up. DO NOT TRUST this dealership for ANY RV purchase. I have had nothing but trouble getting PROPER repairs done on my 2014 RUSHMORE 5th wheel since I purchased it . From day 1 I have had trouble with slideouts not working properly or not at all. I have had it back to Brown's more than 6 times and each time they have done nothing what_so_ ever to properly fix this ongoing problem, they make insignificant adjustments and repairs they say have fixed the problem but Istill have the same problem over and over again. If you call them on the phone all you get are excuses when you try to contact the owner, he's with a customer or he is not available or he is out for the rest of the week, excuse after excuse. I have never given a bad review online about any business. If I could give zero stars, I would. In all of my years of buying, selling and trading, I have never been treated so badly as a customer. I bought my used fifth-wheel unit May 11, 2017, with a written promise that all things needing repair, reported within the first 30 days of delivery, would be repaired by Brown's RV. I submitted nine (9) items to be repaired, some major, some small. It is now November 30, 2017, and some repairs are still not done. One excuse after another. Delay after delay. Certified letters unanswered. Phone calls not returned. Soooo sorry I ever walked into Brown's RV in McBee, SC. Great sales. Great financing. Kudos to Eddie, the current service manager who inherited this problem. He is trying very hard to address these issues. I am one very, very unhappy customer. read more

Not great service, but they did do warranty work on my Winnebago View. We did not buy the View from Brown's but they were willing to work on it. I would have taken it back to our dealer but they are twice the distance and have a very small repair shop. Had a roof leak around the skylight. They did a good job of repairing the leak and they got a replacement ceiling panel which they also replaced. I'm satisfied with the work they did on the leak. It took awhile but much of the time was waiting for the ceiling panel to come from Winnebago. On the other hand, we had a broken outside storage handle. They got the replacement part and installed it but didn't paint it the matching color. Although I do have to say that it may have appeared to be the same color if they were working in a low light area. In the bright sun it became obvious. I needed to the MH for a trip so I had them take it off to have it painted. That was 4 weeks ago. Called today to see if they had it ready. First comment was, nope it hadn't come in yet. Told them, no you already have it, just needs to be painted. Ok, then they tell me the guy that was doing it wasn't in today, can I call tomorrow. I asked if they could check his work area to see if they could find it. They found it, but it wasn't painted. The people there are nice, just not service oriented. read more

My family and I was on the way to the beach for vacation and we stopped in just to look at RV's on the way. Even though we was just looking, the staff treated us like we was just important as somebody who was buying. We plan on upgrading next year and will make the drive to Browns for our next purchase. Brown's RV is, unfortunately, one of the only RV dealerships in our area. We went in to purchase our RV back in May, asking for it to be held until our home sold. They agreed to hold it for us. We were initially supposed to pick up our RV on June 18th. That day, we were told that it would not be ready due to a crack in the generator that we were having installed. We were told that it would be ready that Friday, which turned into Saturday, then Monday. On Monday, we went to go pick the RV up, and it started on fire. Unfortunately, Mr. Brown felt that a fire was not reason enough to come introduce himself and apologize for the huge inconvenience. Instead, he hopped into his vehicle and left. We were told that our new RV had already left the factory and would arrive in two days. Two days came and went, but no one seemed to know where our RV was. My husband continually called Brown's to try to get answers. However, no one returned our calls, as promised. The day ours was supposed to arrive, we were told that the wrong one showed up and that ours was stranded somewhere with broken lights. I eventually had to take it upon myself to contact Grand Design on Facebook to find out WHERE our RV was. It was only then that we were told exactly where it was and when it would arrive at Brown's. We were told that we could pick it up today at 3 PM. We received a call two hours ago stating that the generator install was almost completely and they just needed to swap out the super sofa for the dining table and theatre seating. It sounded as if everything was on track. However, about an hour later, we received a call stating that it wouldn't be ready for two more days because they got behind and some broken RVs came in that needed to be fixed. How our RV was bumped yet again for RVs that were just arriving is beyond me. My husband has orders to leave this base very soon. The movers have already come, so we are sleeping on the floor of our completely empty house, which we close on in four days. At that point, we will have nowhere to go. Yet, Brown's RV doesn't seem to care. We tried to be understanding in the beginning, but it is now crunch time and we have lost all patience. We've spent several days there. Mr. Brown is always in his office and the dealership is never busy. Yet, every time we have tried to call to speak to him personally, we are told how busy they are and that he is unavailable. Finally, today, I told them that I would stay on hold until we were able to speak to him personally. We were sick of being told that they would leave a message for him, only to receive a call from someone else. Brown's refuses to compensate us for our issues, which goes to show that they do not care about their customers. Please stay far away from Brown's RV. Drive to another state if you have to. I dont even want to give these people a star, but I have to to post. Please read below. Buyer Beware! I bought a 5th wheel camper from Browns in 2014. It was supposed to be one of the top of the line. From the first camping trip I've had nothing but issues. The campers may look nice but made very cheap. Our AC unit broke down twice, the lights didn't work in the overhead cabinets, the gray/black water tanks leaked and the slide in the bedroom quit working. My camper has been in repair about 90% of the time I've had it. Brown's would tell us it's fixed and it wasn't. When they worked on the AC and lights they told us it was ready and everything fixed. When we got it home nothing was fixed. The lights were hanging by wires and the thermostat for the AC unit was laying on the floor never installed (they had it 2 to 3 months). Just a note for anyone picking up your camper from them, open it up and check to make sure its fixed before leaving the lot. This last time they had my camper was to fix the slide in the bedroom. They had it since Jan. 2015. It just sat on the lot. When I called to see when it would get fixed they said they were waiting on the Manufacture. I finally got in touch with the manufacture to see what the holdup was since my camper was still under warranty. They said they never knew anything about it and they never heard from Brown's RV. All in all I had to be the mediator between the two to try to get my RV fixed. While all this was going on (mind you my camper was still at Brown's since Jan) it is now April and the camper still wasn't fixed. Meanwhile my camper was broken into in March 09, 2015. I know this because I got the police report from the station. Brown's never told us our camper was broken into and the factory installed 50 " TV that came standard with the camper was stolen. We didn't keep any other valuable things in the camper. When we finally had enough waiting on Browns to fix our camper the manufacturer got us setup with another repair dealer to fix all of our issues. Which they did in 2 weeks. We never knew our TV was stolen and replaced with a 32" from Brown's. When we picked up our camper from the other dealer and got it home is when we noticed the TV was replaced. *Note, camper went straight from Brown's to the other dealership it was never opened. We had the police investigate and we talked to the dealers who repaired our camper and we called Brown's. Brown's RV said the other dealership must have taken it. But after we told them we had the police involved then they confessed and said they had a burglary. The police report had "no forced entry" so that means either they left my camper unlocked or someone who works there stole my TV. They took the time to take the wall mounts and remote with them. We told Brown's we want our 50" replaced. They told us we never had a 50", that our camper came with a 32". We had the Model, serial number and owner's manual to prove we did. Weeks later (maybe a month) of going back and forth with this they finally agreed we had a 50". They setup a time for us to come for them to replace it, (of course not with the model stolen a cheap Emerson). When my husband gets there they tell him they won't put it in unless I agree to withdraw my complaint with the BBB. Please read all BBB on Brown's RV Superstore too! I refused ( I believe that is called "Blackmail" too). But, decided to tell them what they wanted to hear to get all this done and over with and never see them again. Just so you know if you ever need repairs from them don't go there. If they say they will call you back they won't. Please go to an RV store in Columbia, Lexington or anywhere else but these people. They are con artist and will tell you anything to get your business! Please research this place before you buy! read more

Do not even waste your time buying a camper from Browns RV!!!! I should have learned the first time but after their service department wrecked my camper while driving it to service it on their lot..... I ended up trading it in for another camper which was brand new and it has been hell ever since. I have had this new camper for a little over a year now and due to the manufacture install one of our water pipes had a hole in it bc of a nail so it flooded the whole underbelly of our camper. Long story short it has been almost a year now and I have taken it to them at least 4-5 times to replace and fix this issue and they have yet to do it. I just picked it up bc they said the issue was fixed and when I got home and looked at it they never ever touched it or replaced it they just said that they did. They are such a joke and liars!!!!! We have other issues that have not been fixed either. You don't want to deal with their crap so I highly suggest you go to another dealer! I will be taking my camper to another place to get service with my warranty bc they are a joke and they don't really do the work on it. I definitely will be calling Grand Design myself that way I can find out if they have been paying these jokers for warranty work that they don't even do..... makes me wonder....oh and they will never return your call so if you ever give them your number it won't happen!
