House Made Dessert, chocolate brownie with ice cream and walnuts.

We celebrated my friends birthday at Browns Socialhouse. We both had the Social Soda with absolut mandarin vodka, soda and bellini slush. Make that a double. This is very refreshing and light. We shared the Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad with crispy bacon, garlic croutons, aged parmesan and avocado dressing. We also shared Baja Fish Taco's with crispy cod, guacomole, cabbage slaw, pico de gallo, Chipotle aloli in a soft taco. We shared a complimentary House Made Dessert for a birthday treat a rich, decadent brownie with ice cream and walnuts. All the food was delicious and original with a Browns Socialhouse signature flavor. Our server Molly was attentive, friendly and respectful. Great customer service exceeded our expectations. A very cosy, friendly place and we plan to return often. Thank you!!!!!!

Came here because I had good experiences at other Browns restaurants and wanted to try out the menu here. I got their Masala Cauliflower & Tofu Curry and Key Lime Pie for takeout. The curry sauce was rich and delicious, the inclusion of tomatoes was interesting, and I really liked the spicy yogurt drizzle. The mango chutney it came with was very flavourful, and the naan was also great. Lots of tofu and cauliflower in the curry. All of the components (curry, naan, rice, and chutney) were packaged separately so you could combine them as you wished. The pie was creamy and tart with a tasty coconut crust and generous dollop of whipped cream. The portion sizes for both were pretty good and the price was about average for bar food, so not a bad deal since, at least with what I got, the quality was better than typical bar food. It was pretty busy when I went to pick up my food, but they had my order ready right on time and the man who helped me was very cheerful!

Great service, decent food makes for a comfy dinner in their booth near the back of the restaurant. We had a nice little family dinner with my partner and daughter and we totally over ordered!!! Chicken wings, Prawn pasta, cowgirl salad side of fish, steak dinner and fries. It's hip it's friendly anD the washrooms are clean. Typos free of charge with myy reviews thumbed out with my iPhone . Been to this Browns a couple years back and it was Ok. Visited this Browns again in Dec 2020 and the food has improved. Wish there is 3.5 stars rating. We ordered chili quesadilla (Much improved) and burger (I cannot remember the name but got a picture of it)

Pizza is still terrible. Service was decent. Better to go to West 4th ave location unless you really like pizza crust.

Went here for the first time last night with my parents. Very nice casual atmosphere. Tvs by the bar to watch football games too. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had a 'social drink' and it was delicious. I can't remember exactly what was in it but there was soda with a splash of Bellini. Very tasty. I had the chicken bacon ranch burger on a brioche bun and it was sooooo good! I recommend it to anyone. Great neighbourhood pub!

Service was awesome and so was the food! We ate the Thai soup and their specialty salad as well as the fried cauliflower appetizer.

Our server suggested that, because it was happy hour, a pitcher would be cheaper and save us money. I specifically asked how many ounces the pitcher was and was told 32 oz, which sounded reasonable since we planned to get 15 oz beers. When the pitcher arrived, it was clearly 64 oz. The server apologized for the mistake, and I let it go, thinking we didn't have to drink it all. However, when the bill arrived, the price didn't match the quote. We were charged $25, not the $20 we were originally told when the 64-oz pitcher showed up, with the explanation that the regular price was $35 and that we had "saved" money. In the end, we were served twice the beer we wanted and paid twice what we intended, based on information that kept changing. Whether this was incompetence or intentional, it left me feeling frustrated and uncomfortable. The food and atmosphere really were great -- but the experience was overshadowed by feeling manipulated. Enjoy the food and beer, but pay close attention to what the wait staff tells you and what ends up on the bill.

Firstly when we arrived nobody greeted us for I would say about 10 minutes even though the place was quite empty when we arrived, and when we finally received a table we were seated at a table that was wobbly, and the menus we received were stained and sticky, which got me immediately on edge about hygiene and made me uncomfortable. For drinks selection - nothing special that you can't get anywhere else, and the place being quite empty the vibe was quite boring too. I just felt uncomfortable being there and there isn't anything special about this pub that you can't get better anywhere else. We finished the one drink that we got and headed elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this spot.

Features bar seating, booths, comfy chairs with fireplace, and an upper level with large table seating for big groups. Had many a great night here over many years as it provided a nice respite from all the crazy nightclub activity on Granville St. Sadly, they will be closing soon and will be dearly missed. The memories of the Morrissey Pub will live on in those who frequented it, and I will cherish mine.

This corner spot is neatly tucked away with a few outdoor seating spots, but the magic in itself is inside. The mix of vintage and old glam showcases the hybrid aesthetic. Perfectly described, The Ballyhoo definitely lives up to the over-the-top decor from their food offerings and styling. I managed to find myself arriving within happy hour and was super please I was able to bring my laptop out and get some work done without it causing anyone a fuss. The server I had was super friendly and she had all the tables she was handling in good spirit. After opting for a local draft beer and some bites, I kept over hearing how delicious the mozz sticks were. Now IDK how one levels up mozzarella sticks, but these truly were some of the best I've ever had. The dipping sauce was super spicy but bearable for anyone's heat preference and the breading and cheese inside had such a burst of flavor you wanted to simply inhale them. What had me in awe though was the cheese pull game. No need to fear about them being overdone not cooked enough, these babies were cooked to perfection with the cheese literally oozing out of each bite. I saw a few plates being served around and think this spot is definitely worth exploring.
