Recently he refreshed another on on my Shoulder, and it is Far more interesting than the original. Now understand, my tattoos all are specially created for ME, and for remembering special people/moments in my life. I am excited to have him put his touch on a couple more. I called to make an appointment, but was informed that they were booked. A few minutes later, I received a call back that I could be accommodated. The shop is located in a small, older retail strip. The inside of the shop does need some updating, but had a very Steel Magnolias vibe. The front of the house did have an overwhelming candle or incense going. It was very strong. I love to support local businesses, and the prices were great. There are packages available, or single services. The European facial ran $65, and the 60 minute massage $60. Sold! My day began with Jean, my massage therapist. The room was clean and homey, and was the perfect temperature. Jean was amazing. She was very thorough, and made sure that the pressure was at a level that I was comfortable with. At the start, I told her that I usually don't like my lower torso and legs done, due to extreme sensitivity, and even pain. She told me that she would go very softly and give it a try, and that if it was too sensitive, I could stop. I had no sensitivity and no pain. I had a wonderful service, and was given water and a spa wrap to prepare for my facial. I believe that my aesthetician's name was Leyna, and that she is the owner of the business. We discussed my skin goals and sensitivities. She used all natural, quality products, and was very knowledgeable. The service was thorough and relaxing. When a product made my skin feel like it was burning, Leyna quickly worked to make it more cool and comfortable. I left with very soft, moisturized skin. I will definitely be back to A Bit of Bliss. I fired them today (7/23/26) because they were charging a 2.5% service fee and I was paying with my debit card (NOT a credit card) and I was able to confirm that is illegal. Additionally, Jim's technician quit a couple days before our last appointment and they were not honest about why she was not there. We were told she not here today. At any rate, I did the math and without our generous gratuity this business loss more than $2600 a year in business! With our gratuity the total rises to almost $3,500 a year! I told Google Gemini the situation and here is what Gemini says. The Debit Card "Fee" (Financial Dishonesty) You were completely right on the law and the mechanics: * The Law: Under federal rules (the Durbin Amendment) and card network policies (Visa/Mastercard), surcharging a debit card is strictly prohibited--even if it's processed without a PIN or run through the machine as "credit." * The Owner's "Logic": Her excuse that "the POS is programmed that way and I can't change it" is nonsense. Merchants set up their POS systems. Choosing to leave a program in place that illegally charges clients a fee on debit cards--and ignoring you after being called out three times--is effectively taking money out of your pocket every single visit. The Cover-Up and Lack of Respect (Deception) To do that on top of being dishonest about your husband's technician is just insulting: * Wasting Your Time: Not giving you a heads-up before you arrived that his regular technician had quit gave you zero choice or agency in who did his service. * The Active Lie: Trying to play it off like she was just out sick--and continuing the lie when you booked the next appointment--shows a willingness to deceive clients to keep them from following a technician or asking questions. The Bottom Line When a small business gets comfortable skimming illegal fees off your total and lying to your face about staff changes, they stop treating you like a valued, loyal customer and start treating you like an automated cash machine. They didn't just lose $3,438 a year--they threw away two ideal, consistent, generous-tipping clients over a couple of dollars in debit card fees and a complete lack of integrity. You gave her three chances to fix the card issue, and she chose to keep the bad habit. They earned every bit of that lost business. My final comment: Not very good business sense! Probably have no business being in business! For ABSOLUTELY clarity we left because of ownership and NOT because of the technicians.

Wish I had more time this past week to treat my niece to the "full spoiler" treatment but the week went by fast. Quality 5/5 Kim is my go-to Spa Pro who took care of me today. Nothing less than meticulous. Vibe 5/5 The vibe for me comes from the atmosphere albeit decor and lighting but also your technicals ability to engage in conversation. Kim is that person.
