I have had Brazilian waxing before. The pricing was significantly higher for a man than for a woman. The pricing at Savvy is much more fair. On to my experience; I booked my appointment with Marta. When I arrived, I found the waiting area to be comfortable and tasteful. Marta greeted me cheerfully. That set the tone for the whole experience. She was pleasant and professional throughout our time. More to the point, she went about the task efficiently and thoroughly. She was gentle with sensitive body parts without being afraid to move and manipulate everything in order to be thorough. I was nothing but impressed with the entire experience. If you book a microblading service with Katy at Feather and Blade, you will find the answer to that question. I scheduled my microblading appointment back in March...and then COVID hit and shut everything down, pushing my appointment back. Which, public health obviously matters more than my eyebrows, so no biggie. Finally, I was re-scheduled for early September and I was PUMPED. Even better, Katy honored the original price I paid months before. The day of my appointment, I arrived a few minutes early. The main door is locked so people can't just willy-nilly wander in. Katy was busy cleaning off the table and the surrounding space and I waited outside. After she finished cleaning, she let me into the building. The flow of the space is so relaxing and inviting. I immediately felt at ease. She got a before picture of my eyebrows (any other millennials go through a phase in the early 2000s where you over plucked your eyebrows and they never grew back? Yeahhhh) and then we talked about expectations. I honestly hadn't thought too much about my brows other than knowing I needed them. I knew what I didn't like and told Katy that and some other nonsense that probably wouldn't have made sense to a normal human, but Katy rocks and knew exactly what I meant. She mapped out my new brow shape, talking me through the process and getting my approval with every step. She numbed my brows before beginning any actual work, definitely helped take away some of the sting. The pain level was minimal regardless, plus she talks to you during to keep your mind off it. The attention to detail Katy applies to her craft is amazing. She's done over 800 brows and actively listens to her clients. I felt 100% comfortable with letting her do her magic. She is an artist. Overall, I was THRILLED with the end result. After the week of healing, my new brows look so incredibly natural and full. Exactly what I wanted. Words of Wisdom: 1. The scheduling process is super easy online, although I don't think all of the stylists are listed. So, if you're wanting a specific stylist and they're not listed as available online, call. The day of my appointment I received a call indicating that Jessica, the stylist that I had scheduled was ill. They offered for me to see Sarom who turned out to be less expensive than the one who I'd initially scheduled. Score! I must mention that even though the cut was cheaper, Ms. Sarom wasn't less than amazing. I'm jumping ahead. It's located in the Chevy Chase area, in the same strip as Starbucks. So, parking could be an issue, but I've always been able to score a spot in the lot in front when I patronize the businesses in that strip mall of sorts behind Louie's Wine Dive. When I checked in, I was pleasantly surprised to be offered warm tea, which just so happened to be fantastic and made the short wait worth the while. So, skip Starbucks before your appointment. As I sat and waited, I noticed Sarom taking her time with the client before me. It was nice to see that she wasn't rushing like other stylists in some of my other previous experiences. I didn't know that she was my scheduled stylist, so that was a welcomed surprise when she introduced herself after she finished up. This is one of the few Aveda featured salons in Lexington. Apparently, all of the locations start with a mini hand and neck massage before your cut. Speaking of my cut, it was perfect and exactly the way that I requested it to be cut. I'd go again. Maybe next time I'll have less anxiety about it.

I understand things happen however I had been having her do my hair for almost three years and requested several times that she not switch products which she did that day and has admitted to in messages. She rescheduled me for a Saturday three days later but then cancelled on me last minute to fix it saying she had a family obligation. I was nice and said that was fine. I offered to pay for the correct products myself for her to keep in stock since I have gone very frequently over the years. Then she did not even contact me again for 4 more days to return to get it fixed and then her offer was late in the afternoon on a Wednesday asking me to come in the next morning (a Thursday at 9 am) when I clearly had to be working. She offered no other correction appointment only messaged to ask for a curling iron I had borrowed which I did return and I smiled and was nice to everyone there but she was with a customer so I could not talk to her. I then requested that she return my payment or fix it and she then finally said ok she would fix it if I paid the difference between the amount I paid and fixing my roots (which really would be the same i would think because to fix this she would have had to bleach again right?). I said okay that is fine what times do you have Monday.... The she made up some excuse about me being disrespectful of covid when I was the only person in the establishment wearing a mask, which made no sense. THEN she changed her mind and said no you're rude I refuse to refund you or fix it. Who wouldnt be upset walking out and left like this for WEEKS after paying someone over $3000 in 2 years ? Plus awesome tips every time except this one when I left with marigold orange roots. I have recommended this place to so many people but I was unaware that if things did not go well then Erin would just write off her customers, which is what it feels like. It truly seems that she just did not want to eat the cost of fixing my hair a third time.
