Whoever that dark-haired woman working the front desk at the Los Gatos LaserAway on June 27, 2026 around 2:00 PM is -- is your IQ just taking a personal day? (And yes, the less aggressively filtered one, for the record.) I popped in for a quick 5-10 minute treatment. She checked me in, the nurse did the treatment and couldn't assist with a question I had (she directed me ask the receptionist), and then I walked back to an empty front desk with a simple question. I stood there like for over two whole minutes while she and her coworker giggled in the back like it was happy hour. Finally the front desk woman decided to come back & graces me with, "Are you checking in?" Dude I just finished my treatment and you checked me in 5 minutes ago. I've been standing there radiating patience. The lack of basic awareness was concerning, but the rigid, snobby, "I cannot and will not help you" attitude after I asked my question? Chef's kiss of terrible service. Especially from someone whose entire job is customer-facing and it was NOT busy during this time. In fact, she didn't even ask details about what my request actually entailed and the energy was a hard "no" to my question from the jump. She further told me that her manager will say the same thing. What "wonderful" customer service LOL. Side note: I've previously inquired about my request over the phone and they said "they might be able to accommodate. Just talk to a nurse when you are in next". As aforementioned, I asked the nurse and she directed me to the front desk. The front desk said "NOPE". So the whole runaround and "too many cooks in the kitchen" vibes are disheartening, unorganized, and unprofessional. At the end of the day, this is MY hard earned money I am paying with and it is absurd how they treated me. Which leads me to the real kicker: I've dropped 10's of thousands upon thousands at this overpriced zap factory, and my tiny request would've literally saved them time and money. But apparently common sense and basic courtesy aren't included with the obscenely priced purchases. The entire experience at the end left me feeling like a nuisance and absolutely terrible, after what should have been a nice little self-care moment after a long work week. Save your $$$ and your skin. There are way kinder, more competent places out there. LaserAway is giving extremely 'expensive' disappointment with their stringent and uncompromising attitude and rules. Are we suddenly in the 1800's where the rules are so black and white...I mean it's 2026...work on your courtesy and flexibility to your 'loyal' and long-term customers and perhaps try to see the bigger picture from a corporate standpoint of how that could lead to future business instead of being recklessly stiff. As a result, I ended up waiting significantly longer than expected despite doing the responsible thing and arriving early. It felt incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. If appointments can be altered without notifying customers, it defeats the entire purpose of scheduling one in advance. Clear communication and respect for customers' schedules should be a basic standard. Unfortunately, that was not my experience today.

He has over 50 years experience and enjoying working with custoners of all ages. He keeps me young, healthy and shows me how to take care of my skin, and my nails without fungus. He is still so popular that the new customers have to wait on the waiting list over 5 pages long to see him. Personnaly, I think it is worth it because he is honest, and has experience to treat your skin, nail fungus, and other skin care as removing tatoos, etc... He has a beautiful staff with two nurse practitioners, and other nurses to prepare the skins prior to see him. I have been seeing Dr Saal twice a year to make sure my skin is healthy and to refill my prescriptions. I am 73 and retired. My friends told me I look around 60. This is credited to Dr Saal and his staff. I highly recommend Dr Saal as one of the best dermatologists in the bay area.

The front office staff, scheduling (last minute cancellations or rescheduling), and billing department (over charged a handful of times), display a lack of professionalism and consistent disrespect attitudes towards patients, which is truly disheartening to witness and experience. A new nurse of Asian descent was hired several years ago and unbelievably her behavior was inappropriate during the 3 occasions we interacted with her. I will never have her touch my face with any devices ever again. She also touched me inappropriately and I voiced my concerns and no one ever resolved the concerns. However, after seeing a new nurse (very good) who assists Dr. Saal, the experience has been positive. Despite being a loyal patient for 37 years, with Dr Saal, I have observed a significant decline in the office environment over the last 15 years. I have even recommended 22 individuals to this practice over the past 37 years, but never again. Stacey is the only long term employee (manager) still at the office and she has been consistently wonderful and professional. However, definitely not the rest of the office staff as mentioned above. I guess things and people do change eventually. My referrals and myself have gone to other Dermatologist offices to experience better services.
