I came here after a friends recommendation - [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small salon, much smaller than your typical nail salon, so the wait was brutal even with an appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started about 30 minutes after my scheduled time, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. The care and level of detail that went into my pedicure and fill was amazing. I always notice the small things after I get my nails done, and I couldn't stop staring at how good my nails looked after Dylan did them. I showed him a picture he replicated it perfectly. They are nice enough, but do not know how to run a business. Either they allow too many walk ins or are overbooking. Every time I go ( with appt) someone has come in with an appt and left waiting. The young lady yesterday walked out after 20 minutes. Could not blame her! When I made my appt, I asked if my mani and pedi could be done at the same time as I had limited time. The gentleman assured me that would be possible. Sadly, that was not the case! I was there for a hour and 40 minutes and only got out then because I told them I had to go! A couple of things: 1. The pedicure was ok but I still have a ton of dryness and some cracks after the lotion has worn off. 2. My gel manicure was done in a way where there was a notable gap between my nail bed and my polish. My mani already looks like there has been a week's worth of growth. Also, you can see in the picture that my nails look a little funky shaped because the polish wasn't taken all the way down. 3. [[HIGHLIGHT]]THE MEAN GIRL VIBE - while I was there a woman came in. She had an appointment and had apparently called earlier in the weekend requesting a specific person and that her mani and pedi be done at the same time. She was traveling this evening. Turns out that the person she booked with wasn't even there and they weren't able to do both services at the same time even with other people. They were so rude and didn't even acknowledge that they messed up. They just told her she could go somewhere else.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She was so sweet and apologized to everyone for being so upset. They told her to come back 4 hours later (!!) and the poor woman agreed, even though she said it was very close to her flight time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When she left, they all just started laughing at her and another customer even called her a b*tch. But I just got home from my appointment at Jade Nails with Dylan, and let me tell you--I'm beyond happy with how my builder gel set turned out. His skill and attention to detail? Chef's kiss. I have been on the lookout for a new nail salon that's close by, does consistent good work and is reasonably priced. Jade Nails comes close to what I'm looking for. My friend sat at the pedicure station and they got started on her pedicure. Since I was only doing a manicure, I sat at the manicure section and one of the workers got started on taking off my old gel polish. After he was finished, he went over to take off my friend's polish and Alyssa got started on my nails. After asking what I wanted in terms of nail shape, color and design - she got started. I liked how Alyssa did the shape of my nails. She left them longer as I requested and filed them in the rounded square shape I liked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, she kept checking in with me to make sure I liked how they were turning out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The color I picked was also pretty - a light lavender color - and then she was able to put a couple of flowers on my nails that came out very cute. Overall, the workers were friendly and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think they tried their best to accommodate what my friend and I wanted for our nails[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but I think their workmanship needs more experience to become top-notch. While I enjoyed my manicure, the polish wasn't as evenly applied as more experienced nail techs would have done. There were also splotches where the polish was stuck to the side of my nail, which later lifted off easily. It wasn't the worse place I've been to - and given time and experience - I think the workmanship should continue to get better. A full 5 stars because they were friendly, on time with our appts and tried their best to give us what we wanted. I would try this place out again, but maybe after a few months so everyone gets more experience. read more

She cut my cuticles and boy it was nice and gentle with no cuts or snip of yiur skin- which is great. I just had my second visit to Jade and I love it! First of all it's clean. Air conditioned and super quiet, a very calming atmosphere. I'm glad Sweeties Nails was rude to me and my cousin and we decided to try out Jade Nails across the street! Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated, the place was clean and organized. We were offered refreshments and the massage chairs were wonderful. There were two techs and they both did a fantastic and swift job! I have been going here for about 5 years. Back to when it was the natural and organic nail salon. I always loved the pedicures I got here, but was never able to get my acrylic nails because they were all "natural". Now that's changed. Last time I went in for a pedicure the technician told me they now do acrylic nails, that she had lots of experience, and would do them for me next time. I was super excited to finally be able to go to one spot especially since I always loved the service I got for my pedicures. I REGRET it so much. The acrylics were so bad! I have been getting tips for over 15 years. In general, the steps in which she applied the nails was one I never experienced before. When measuring the tips size for my nails, she chose oversized tips that overlapped the edge of the actual nail and she glued it to my skin. When I said something she quickly disregarded me and said she would fix it. Then when she applied the acrylic powder it was SO THICK, and lumpy, and completely lost the coffin shape I asked for. I asked her about reshaping and filing the nail down. She argued with me. She insisted that it wasn't thick and that if she filed them to make them thinner that they would break. Which I know for a fact is not true. I really wish I got a photo of the thickness, but I was so upset because she was arguing with me and trying to make me feel like I was wrong. I was so upset and embarrassed because all this was happening in front of other staff and a customer. I finally asked her to remove them. For the FIRST TIME in over 15 years I actually had them take my nails off. I left with no nails and did not pay for the service. I paid for my pedicure because that fortunately came out great as usual. And in spite of her behavior, I still left her a tip. And after all her arguing about it not being too thick, when she began taking off my nails, she couldn't even fit my nails between the nail clipper to cut them. She had to use the cuticle trimmer to help her cut them. It was an "I told you so" moment without having to saying it aloud. What made this whole thing even more disappointing is that I had been growing out my natural nails excited to get a new set from Jade Nails. But since she messed up and she had to remove them by soaking my hands in pure acetone and filing the nail bed. My nails and cuticles were so jacked up after and the skin on my fingers were so dried out. I've had to grow them out for three weeks AGAIN and they are still SO THIN AND BRITTLE. This experience makes me not want to go back there again. Not even for the good pedicures. =( read more
