This review is strictly about how Izabela handled her mistake, not about her skill set. I got microblading done by Izabela for the first time on 1/16/2019. I forgot to tip her when I made the payment for the service in her studio so I mailed a check of $50 to her, and she cashed it on 1/23/2019. Fast forward a year to 2/18/2020, I logged into my bank account and noticed the same check I mailed to Izabela a year ago being cashed again. My bank suggested that I directly contact her so I texted her on the following day. She said she was cleaning her studio and found my check. She wasn't sure if she already deposited it so she tried depositing it through her bank app, and it went through. I asked her to check her book (or it could be bank statement or whatever she keeps all her finances) from last year so I can prove what I'm talking about. Her response was "Your bank allowed it. There's nothing I can do." She added "Sorry for the inconvenience. Didn't mean any harm." Wow, she takes her client's money as long as bank allows it. I went into my bank, and they confirmed that Izabela deposited the same exact check from me twice. I learned that cashing/depositing a same check repeatedly is called "Double Presentment". If done intentionally, it's a crime. I'm hoping Izabela did this by accident, but her refusal to check her past transaction was more shocking to me than the double presentment itself. Initially my bank suggested me to seek for legal advice or possibly take it to small court with the proof they can provide, but they credited $50 to my account, and they processed a debit request to Izabela's bank so there is no reason for me to waste energy as long as funds are back to where they should be. I don't like to write bad reviews, but I couldn't avoid it this time. read more

I've gotten a lash lift from Heather here twice, and I love it. She has great attention to detail and is very caring the whole time. Heather makes sure that I'm completely comfortable during the entire process too. There's a part where she has to cover the bottom lashes, and while it's not the most pleasant part, she makes sure to redo this part as many times as possible to make sure I'm comfortable. She also chats with you to try to take your mind off of things as well. When you're done, she'll clean off the glue carefully off your lashes and parts of your eyes. 5 stars because I keep going back! I have the WORST skin. If I go to a regular salon for a wax then my eyebrows stay red ALL day & then I get bad bumps/breakouts all around. I started going here and the redness doesn't last as long & even though I still get small breakouts they're not nearly as bad. My skin is so sensitive that she'll often tweeze a lot more than wax to decrease irritation. Plus, she tints my eyebrows and they always look great. Highly recommend. read more

Ummmm basically all I have to say is that Izabela is amazing! In all honesty, I have never paid too much attention to my eyebrows (I was blessed with a good natural shape), but holy moly, I was SO wrong not to because my face looks a million times better! I went in for an appointment with Izabela - can I just say that I am obsessed with the style of her space? She was super nice, informative & attentive -- she even showed me where my brows are supposed to start, end & arch and places to be careful of when I do my own brows (not that I ever will again!). Even though I had taken a little chunk out of my brows with some rogue plucking, she told me in such a way that I didn't feel scolded (you know, like how you feel when the dentist scolds you for not flossing - how do they always know???), so I really appreciated that. AND I'm a giant baby when it comes to waxing (let's just say lasers are my friend), but this one didn't really even hurt! Heather works brow MAGIC! I have always had thin eyebrows, but in recent years noticed they seemed to have gotten even thinner! With the lash lift I look like I'm wearing a set of falsies and they are beautiful. I can't believe it's my own lashes. To be clear they don't look thicker but they look longer and are CURLED. Man, oh man. This review is a long time coming. I've been seeing Izabella since 2014 for brow shaping. She helped rehab my overplucked brows for years before I finally took the leap and asked her to microblade them. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I've gone in for one session (my follow up is later next month) and I couldn't be happier with the results. The healing process was NOT NEARLY as intense as I thought it was going to be. No one could tell I had healing microbladed brows, they may have only looked slightly darker to unknowing strangers. Izabela has such great vision with brows. She ensures the work she does enhances your looks and frames your face perfectly. She initially measures out the eyebrows to figure out the best shape for your face while taking into consideration what the current shape of your eyebrows are. She uses wax to remove the hair and it is PAINLESS. Depending on your brows, she shows you how to apply a small amount of different makeup around the brow to further enhance your look. I would love to go to Izabela all the time, but for how quickly my eyebrows grow it would really hurt my pocket. The only downside here is that she is a little pricey. I would definitely recommend her for shaping your eyebrows every once in a while and then maintaining yourself in-between. read more

I found my one stop for all my waxing spot! First time client and I loved it. I got a Barazilian, Eye brow shaping, nostrils and upper lip wax! She was very attentive to my brows, which needed a lot of love there! Brazilian was painless, clean, and so much smoother. Izabela really knows brows, you guys. I never do anything with my brows, because they are pretty spartan, but she waxed away the baby hairs, so I could fill them in so much better.
