I was asked to a add gratitude on the card after my service, which can be awkward when asked by the person who did your service. I'm long overdue in writing this review. I've been going to HighBrow Beauty and seeing Beverly for my lashes for several months. If you're looking for an A++++ aesthetician for your lash work, look no further. She does absolutely amazing work and after each and every session I am beyond pleased. In addition, she has an amazing disposition. I struggle with intermittent back issues as well as some anxiety that sometimes makes it difficult for me to stay still for long periods of time. Whenever I need a little break Beverly is more than gracious and patient while I sit up, stretch and take a needed break. My lashes are one of the few guilty, vain pleasures I allow myself in these difficult economic times in large part because of Beverly. I would give her more than five stars if I could!! read more

Let me preface this with saying I've been coming here for 2 years. Always added tips to 95% of every service I've had done here. 3 weeks ago I did a lash service with Beverly and she did a great job, we ran out of time because she had another client and didn't add as many lashes as she wanted on my fill from a previous lash bar. She stated she wouldn't charge me next time because she didn't make the lashes as full as she would have liked due to time constraints. She stated she would make a note of not charging me on my account before I left. Today I come in and get another fill. 1. Beverly forgot she had this conversation with me and didn't make a note (I'm guessing because she had a client right after me) she was about to charge me full price until I mentioned the conversation. 2. She could not find the note but gave me a discount which I added tip to (mind you I wasn't even supposed to be charged). 3. When she couldn't find the note she tried to insinuate I was looking for free services in front of other clients. Point 3 was unnecessary, unkind and disrespectful for no reason especially when you couldn't even remember the conversation and didn't make a note. I'm not desperate for free services Beverley and have never asked for it since going to highbrow beauty for 2 years, that's ridiculous. It is possible that I misunderstood what she was referring to when she mentioned she wouldn't charge me next time but she couldn't even remember the conversation to clear up if there was a misunderstanding and just became defensive, had she remembered it would have cleared our mutual confusion. I will miss getting my eyebrows done by Lana who does an amazing job but I'm not going to continue supporting a rude and condescending business owner over something that could have been easily handled much better and more professionally. I am very big on customer service so this place is now a no for me. read more

Beverly is amazing! She is an expert esthetician and has been in the business for 20+ years. When I first went to Beverly, I was a few weeks away from getting my second microneedling appointment at another business. Come to find out that Beverly does microneedling, at an AMAZING price. She is so generous with the serums she uses on your face during this process, everything is incredibly sterile, and she gives you the most amazing facial beforehand to ensure your face is super clean before doing the microneedling. Alexis gave me the best brows of my life through a brow wax--and I'm a tough brow critic. I don't have easy brows; they're over plucked/have sparse spots, coarse, always want to grow in strange directions. I've never gotten them to look identical which is a big thing for me, and SHE DID! While Alana is sweet, I would never go back. I have never been to a manicurist in which part of the gel manicure wiped off literally 15 minutes after the process. The polish also chipped after just a few days. Limited color selection and rough when filing my nails. read more

I paid 53$ for brow design and tint. The second I looked at them they were ugly, I didn't want to be rude and complain but when I back to my car in sunlight, the tint was too dark, gave me overly boxy shape at front end of brows and the shape wasn't even or specifically tailored to my shape. I've been to LA to have my brows done by another stylist and I know the potential of my brows and this wasn't cutting it ( I'll post a pic of them so you can see the difference and potential). I know remember why I've only been here 2 other times a year apart, never satisfied. Definitely not coming back at all. For the price you don't get your monies worth in terms of expertise, you can use same formula for every client. The customer service was great and Alexis was nice. My brows are ugly though. Update: I received a call from the owner Sean and he offered to refund and addressed the issue promptly. At least they are conscious of customer concerns. I thought I would update my review and talk about my experience with Izabela. Beverly is usually my go to gal when I come here and I love the way she does my eyebrows. However, not reading all the details of my confirmation email for the appointment I booked online, I unknowingly scheduled an appointment with Izabela instead. I didn't want to cancel and reschedule again, so I decided to keep my appointment with Izabela. After reading all the glowing reviews of her, I wasn't really worried. Now, having had my appointment with Izabela, the only thing I can say is that Beverly and Izabela are a one-two punch. Izabela also does an exceptional job on brow design. She takes the time to explain what good brow shape should be and uses your own brows as a guideline. Then she tells you exactly what she plans to do before she lays any wax on your skin. I left a very satisfied customer with very clean, nicely shaped brows that weren't too think or too thin. It's comforting to know that if Beverly were unavailable or out of town, I know I can go to Izabela and she will do just as great of a job. I'll keep this short as there are tons of other reviews. My appointment was with Izabela and she explained what she was going to do with my brows. When she was finished waxing and tweeting, I looked at my newly shaped brows and felt like a new person. I don't know what it is, but every time I feel so much better after getting my brows cleaned up. She had me watch her fill my brows out, and it was so helpful to learn the technique. BTW I posted a picture of the store front (street view) Came for a brazilian where they use soft wax. Happy with the job, although some little hairs were left behind. I've been pretty consistent with my wax, haven't shaved/trimmed for the last 6 months and have been exfoliating with a scrub cleanser in the shower as well so I don't know why some little strays were left behind.
