First time dining at Bru Burger in Fort Wayne. There were some good things and things that could have been better. The chicken tenders are battered there and very good. The onion rings are badgered in house and they were good. I ordered the bourbon horseradish smash burger and the burger was pretty crispy and cold when it arrived. The onion rings were cold as well. Another outstanding visit to BRU Burger on the Landing. The staff here is still excellent. We had outstanding service all meal long. The waiter made us feel comfortable and welcomed. My wife loves the chicken tenders. They might be the best chicken tenders you every taste. The chicken is moist and juicy. The breading is a bit thicker, sweet and somewhat crunchy. Their homemade honey mustard dipping sauce is delicious. You can not go wrong with the chicken tenders! The Cole slaw is outstanding as well. It is mayo based and very creamy. The cabbage is fresh and has a nice crisp. The sauce has a little bit of spice and what seems like a hint of horseradish flavoring. Very good! The onion rings on this occasion were tough and overly crunchy. It almost hurt my teeth to bit into them. I've had them before with an outstanding taste. Regardless...these are handsome looking onion rings! I am not a burger fan. However, the Bourbon burger was simply delicious! The meat was tender and cooked to a perfect medium rare texture. This burger place is likely the best here now in Fort Wayne. It is located at the landing. There is a parking structure nearby so it's easy to park and get to the restaurant. There's plenty of seating. I've been here twice now and I would highly recommend the Gorgonberry salad. It's probably the freshest and tastiest salad in Fort Wayne. The burgers are definitely juicy and flavorful. I do agree with other reviews that the fries could benefit from a due over. Even though they are fresh cut fries, I felt that they were cooked too long along with being too salty. servers are nice and friendly. The Nashville Hot Chicken is an abomination and should be removed from the menu. The chicken I had was served burnt, smelling and tasting exactly like grease. The only HOT flavor was the HOT crisco taste at first bite. Now I will say this, it's hot or miss. My son had it last week and it was amazing, I had it today and it was an epic fail. It's not worth the risk. I had the chili cheese fries. They were TOP TIER. Smooth cheese drizzled on top, evenly spread Chili over a bed of hand cut fries. The garlic and truffle flavor was there. I couldn't distinguish the different cheeses, but that's ok. The onion rings are very crispy and well made. 5/5 stars. Dessert: Peach-White Chocolate Bread Pudding - $9 - Good bread pudding. Eats dense but the peaches in the pudding give it a nice balance. Can't really taste any white chocolate. The ice cream is good and the whipped cream was probably unnecessary. 4.5/5 stars. Service is attentive, but some things should be fixed. Before ordering any food, the waiters should always ask if anyone has any food allergies. I'm allergic to mustard, but thankfully it's not a life threatening allergy, just hives for a few weeks. Here's the story. So the first time around, we ordered drinks and the wings with buffalo sauce. The next time around I remember to ask what burgers have mustard on them, because I'm allergic. So the waitress says most of them don't have mustard, but if it says it in the description then it has mustard. She also said that they mark it on the ticket if anyone has an allergy and to make sure to avoid cross contamination. Sounds good. We order the burgers and she leaves. Probably about 10 minutes later the wings come out. We start to eat them, then the waitress comes over and apologizes that there's mustard in the sauce. This is why we got two orders of wings, since the second one was a replacement for me to eat. Someone else from the wait staff (maybe a manager?) comes over to make sure I'm ok and if I need medical care. We assure him that I'm fine. Now, the kitchen staff should have been aware at this point to avoid giving me anything with mustard. One of the chefs even came out to tell me that actually there's no mustard in the buffalo sauce, so no need to worry. Eventually the burgers come out, but here's where I facepalmed a little bit. Accompanying my side of onion rings was BBQ sauce which has mustard in it. I did point it out to the waitress when she came to check on us, and she said the side of onion rings normally comes with BBQ sauce. Obviously this was their first day, so things were confusing for everyone, but someone needs to be watching out for food allergies. Ambiance was interesting. Two TVs to watch some games, but they didn't go overboard. The noise level is wild. It was hard to talk to my husband. I had to ask him a lot to repeat what he said. Probably need some sound dampeners in the room. Overall, the food is fantastic. Prices are reasonable. I'd come back here again. read more

We are so excited that BRU Burger has come to The Landing!! Marquee is one of our favorite restaurants downtown and BRU Burger, which is also run by Cunningham Restaurant Group, has the same excellent management and great customer service. (And the same Rewards program!!) The interior hasn't changed drastically from the two previous inhabitants, and is great because it's a great space! The color scheme is urban and comfy and there are more (and nicer) tables outside, which is a great addition! I started out with a mocktail (the Blueberry Basil Cooler), which was very tasty after a good stir, and then had the Botanist Lemonade, which I highly recommend. We shared the Onion Rings (nice and crispy!! And next time I would request jarred ketchup, only because I always seem to prefer it to homemade ketchup!) and the delicious Triple Dip. We all raved about the goat cheese dip and we're delighted we could get more of the grilled naan. My entree was my first ever Bru Hot Chicken sandwich, and it was outstanding. Tender chicken with a wonderfully crispy skin that was nice and spicy! My husband gave his Sriracha Caesar Salad with Blackened Salmon and enthusiastic thumbs-up! For dessert we shared the Chocolate Milkshake (a classic!) and brought home an order of Peach White Chocolate Bread Pudding, which was divine! Served with caramel sauce, ice cream AND and whipped cream, it was tender and favorable, with the perfect crust. A much-appreciated bonus was the slightly lower price point for The Landing! We called in for a reservation for 12 on a Saturday after the zoo closed. Despite our concerns of wait times, they were able to get us in quickly. The onion rings are impressive, the chili was a table favorite and their homemade ketchup alone is something to return for. Our server was new but very attentive and stayed on top of our needs. Very modern yet comfortable style throughout the restaurant. Fast paced but still meeting quality dining. In Fort Wayne for a work meeting and walked over to eat here. My server, Jordan B, was super nice but she had to many tables and was way behind on keeping up with everything. She was very nice and friendly just pulled to thin. The food was mid at best. Had some chili which was probably out of a can and even the Bru Burger was just plain with very little flavor. The place was clean and the ambiance was good but the food is certainly not very good. I would past on Bru Burger if I am ever near one again! read more

I must say I am not a burger fan in our family so I was prepared to be semi happy with whati would have available to eat. Expected the same old tenders from a box, but oh my was I ever surprised! The portion size was insane- had 8 good size tenders. Flavor was in fact so good I am positive none will compare from anywhere else! Tender and juicy, perfectly cooked chicken and the seasoned breading was light and flaky, with the perfect amount of salt. These are the buttermilk fried chicken tenders. I cannot stop thinking about them. Leftovers being used for a chicken wrap today! Fries also excellent. Service was great. The food at Bru Burger was delicious! Our table started with an order of onion rings and the Triple Dip. Both of which were great. I had the Bru Burger and my husband had the Hot Chicken sandwich. The server said the hot chicken wasn't too hot, but apparently we are wimps because it was definitely hot! But the chicken itself was juicy and we loved the breading. Now onto the service...this is where it gets a little dicey. Several different servers visited the table, which was nice, but the bar service was painfully slow. After waiting way too long for our friend to get her drink, they delivered the wrong one. And it shouldn't have taken 15+ minutes for a draft beer.
