We have had great experiences with multiple Brubaker services. It started with a kitchen remodel, with great assistance from their design consultants. It went so well, we added the remodel of two bathrooms. All work, from the design and planning, to the quality of the products and the care the installer took to do the job very very well, went perfectly! We purchased the appliances from Brubaker and received good counsel and are very pleased with the selections. We also have had plumbing (a repair and a new entire house humidifier installation) and electrical work (new ceiling fan wiring) completed, in other parts of the home and all work was completed when expected with exceptional quality. We bought all of our major kitchen appliances from Brubaker for our new house , we overpaid but it was a local company so we didn't mind. When the appliances arrived the refrigerator was damaged and they acted like it was no big deal then they actually tried to charge us more for delivery because they say our standard door was too narrow...I called the manager wile my things were still on the trunk to complain and he insisted that we would have to pay extra even with the damaged refrigerator!....Do not use this company! They have no idea how to treat their customers and are crooks in my eyes!...you were warned! read more

I've used Brubaker 4 times in the past 2 years, mist recently today. They provide excellent service. Some years back I bought a refrigerator at a big box store and it died shortly after the warranty. We called Brubaker to install our Tesla charger in the garage of our new house in April 2022, when our usual electrician was booked up. I was pleased with their availability, and as far as we knew, everything was installed and hooked up fine. The charging unit was attached to an unfinished wall, that we told the installer we would be drywalling in a few months. Cut to July 2022, we just began our drywalling project in our garage. Our highly skilled contractor disconnected the wall charger before he began putting up the drywall, and luckily he had turn the power off before hand, as he found that the hot wire was LOOSE inside of the unit as well as NO GROMMET. This is a fire and electrocution hazard if it would have shorted out. The leads were also cut to different sizes. Upon learning this, I immediately called Brubaker and was connected to a man named Ben who oversees their electrical department. He went out and met with my contractor in my garage, who was still onsite. Ben then came back to me and said everything "looked fine" and that there was "no way to prove" this didn't happen when our contractor took it off the wall. This makes no sense, and when I challenged him, he then asked me if on the day of installation, did my husband tell the technician "not to hang it up all the way because we'll be putting drywall up later". My husband OF COURSE did not tell a technician to have a 240v cable to be loosely attached to a 30amp circuit in our garage, and even if someone were to tell a technician that, any proper electrician should know you CANNOT safely do that, its incredibly unsafe! Additionally, my contractor then told me that when Ben talked to him at our house, he admitted that the technician who came to our house that day was "young" with not a lot of experience yet. When I went back to Ben with all of these details and asked for a full refund of the $1100 dollars we paid for this charger to be installed, he only sent me one response, which was: "our policy is if someone else touches it, then that voids the warranty" 1000 percent UNACCEPTABLE, unprofessional, and extremely disappointing. My family will be sure to never use Brubakers again, and I hope this review helps warn other potential customers in the future. read more

I purchased kitchen appliances from Brubaker and would not recommend them for such purchases. My first impression was very good, very helpful and made the purchase seem easy. However, my contractors had a very difficult time with them on fitting on the microwave in a built-in countertop. When my stove was first delivered it was electric not gas. The second time they delivered my gas stove they did not use the conversion kit for propane therefore it ruined all my pots and pans by leaving them black and tarnished with a nasty residue. After complaining about the stove (which also was covered in a black residue) they did replace my stove, however, I did have about $600 in pots and pans that are ruined. They offered to try and clean them, however, I have tried every product out there and nothing seems to get the black residue off and it's inconvenient to take my pots and pans down there for them to have the same outcome. The hood vent that I also purchased through them was ineffective and I have called Brubaker's about once a week since March and it's been about 5 months I have yet to receive a phone call back. If you encounter any problems with Brubaker's good luck finding a resolution. I've never encountered worse customer service. read more

I would not recommend this company. We called them to replace our water softener. The installer didn't get the air out of the pipes and this caused a major toilet leak in our upstairs bathroom, which caused a leak into our downstairs kitchen. We needed to get a restoration company in and now, four weeks later, we still have a gaping hole in our kitchen ceiling. Next came our bathtub leak. The technician (same one) came and "fixed" it. Two weeks later, it is still leaking into our downstairs area and we have another hole in our ceiling. Then, coincidently?, our water heater broke. It was only 7 years old. The same technician came out to fix it and left a dark brown mess on the floor. We have spent over $5500 on these plumbing issues in just over a month. They are coming out to fix the tub again and I hope this is the end of all the issues. We asked that they send a more experienced plumber this time. All we wanted was a new water softener and it has turned into a plumbing nightmare. read more

My wife and I were in need of a new stove. Brubaker is close to our home and a local company. We stopped in and the salesperson was very nice. The price was a bit high but we needed a gas line run, since our last stove was electric and we now wanted gas. We knew that Brubaker did gas line work. We decided on a stove and made an appointment for a price on the gas line work. The man came to the house and told us we needed a larger line run into the house from the gas meter and a manifold for the piping. He would need a day or two to work up a price. Over a week later, they called us with a price. They were just too busy to get back to us any sooner. The price seemed a bit high. So we called UGI. They came out and gave us a price that day. A much better price. Over a thousand dollars less ! Not being happy with the time it took and the price of the gas line work, we looked for a stove at another local company and found the same stove for less. All together we got the gas line work done, purchased the same stove and a microwave oven for less than Brubaker wanted for the stove and gas line work. $ 800.00 less ! If you like to pay more than you should Brubaker Inc. is the place for you, if not shop around. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

We had the plumber from Brubaker, Inc. out yesterday (2/20/13) to do an inspection, fix the outside bib, and hook up the new fridge's ice-maker--$330 (he was here over six hours). Last night we notice Kyle's tub is no longer a drip, but a leak. The same plumber, Andrew, came out today and put a new cartridge in. NO CHARGE ! We also used them to install an outside ac compressor. They also honored our warranty when the coil on the inside unit developed a leak. A very professional and top-notch company. read more

My parents called Brubaker to fix their grinder pump. A technician came out and decided that it needed a new float. He replaced the float and the unit still didn't work. He then said that the pump needed a new control box. He left saying they would have to order the box and he didn't know how long it would take to get in. After he left my father was went out to manually use the pump so the family could flush the toilets. He went out and found out that whatever the guy did he couldnt manually use the pump. So he called back to Brubaker and they sent another guy out. He decided that the first guy replaced the wrong float. So he replaced the 2nd float. That still didn't fix the pump! But at least after 2 more hours of work he got it so the pump could be used manually. So he left. The next day the supervisor called and said the control box would cost $1,700 and didn't know when they would get it in. He also stated that they weren't very knowledgeable working with these grinder pumps and if we wanted to call someone else we could. So my mother called Cocalico plumbing. The guy comes out and opens up the pump and says well they put floats in that don't even have weights on them! So there's no way the pump would work! He replaced both floats and a fuse Brubaker blew at the main box and the pump works like new. I strongly advise anyone against using Brubaker. They don't know what they are doing and even admit it!! read more

At this point, we feel it's better to put any further money towards a new dishwasher rather than call them back again. Furthermore, by the time it's all said and done we have gone for over a month without a properly functioning dishwasher, holding on to false hopes that they could actually fix it. read more

When I had the same problem again, I asked for a quote ...$528 again. Called another company and they charged me $192. Brubaker's shame on you. I made an appointment. They were supposed to show up between 10 and noon. My husband took the day off because I had scheduled two different services that day. We spent the morning with the first guy while we waited for the second guy, the one from Brubaker. He never showed and we called to find out why. I was told it was because I didn't answer my phone. I had no idea I needed to have the phone around my neck because I was all over the house dealing with the man who was on the roof, in the garage, and the attic. When someone says they will be somewhere at a certain time, I expect them to be there! The scheduler was rude and no apology given! So much for customer service! This was not our first time dealing with them, we have a maintenance contract with them. So it's not like they've never been to our home. read more
