This is a neighborhood fast casual chinese spot I thought to try after a recommendation. I mean named after Bruce Lee, I didn't think he was there but mom and pop it is, the service was right to the point. The menu board is dated, and only 1 menu colored print out was available. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, I decided on eggrolls, General Tso's chicken, shrimp lomein, and wonton soup. The wait was minimal and everything was packaged well. Typical serving sizes, quality was flat, and flavors were basic. The chicken were bite size, no large chunks. Broccoli florets served with the dish could have been left off, brown and offputting. The lomein came with ample shrimp, but these were the salad sized you'd see in your local grocers frozen section. The wonton soup quart sized was generous. The eggroll were fried hefty with veggie filling. All for about $39 after taxes. While it was pocket friendly, it came it an obnoxious headache after. So here's the deal. As of late a lot of the Chinese restaurants in the Severn/Odenton/Glenn Burnie region have been going downhill with no reduction in price to match the reduced quality or quantity. This is a new one to us and I cannot state how pleased my wife and I were with the order. We had Pu Pu platter, side wings and fried dumplings and everything was very tasty and hot. My wife even complimented the Shrimp Toast and she hates Shrimp Toast. Others have said it but let me add; the wings were really good they did not taste like frozen form a bag wings which has started to be the case with a lot of places. Bruce Lee is one of our main go-to Chinese food places- they have a great variety of options on their menu (whether we're craving Chinese or Japanese style), while also promoting specific lunch combos, all-day combos, & the bonus coupons (like spend $30 and get free sushi) :) Though I've dropped a star for this current review because the meals we ordered this specific trip were not up to par with our normal go-to-dishes. This particular trip we tried: Seafood Lo Mein: I love their standard combination lo mein; their noodles are fresh, well sauced, and filled with onions and cabbage. However I thought the seafood one was less filled with the protein ingredients. Happy Family: Packed with protein & veggies they do not skimp preparing this meal, but the sauce was very plain with no real distinguishing taste. BBQ-Ribs All-Day Combo platter (with a spring roll & won-ton soup): The ribs were very fatty- a delicious taste, but definitely left me feeling like I needed to add a de-greasing workout to my after dinner activities. This is a dependable Chinese takeout that we've been going to over the last few years. Food and portion sizes are pretty good. Their fried rice has gone downhill a bit and doesn't have all the beansprouts they used to include. But they still make some really good chicken wings with a bit of curry flavor that are always hot and crispy when we get them. Recently they expanded their storefront to include the former teriyaki place next door. This gives them a small dine-in area and adds Japanese items to their menu, including a selection of sushi. Ordering online is nice and convenient, especially during the pandemic. The staff is friendly enough, and the facility appears clean. A good choice for takeout. The first time I ordered from here, the food we chose--steamed dumplings, lo mein, fried rice, bone in ribs--were good. We ordered a second time, the lo mein was good, but the rice was hard and dry. And the other two dishes we got--garlic pork and pork with scallions were so hot and spicy, and no indication on the online menu. Both times that I ordered the wonton soup, the broth was bland. I have been going to Bruce Lee for years. They were Bhe best little Chinese Food Place around. But I am not sure what has happened as the past 2 times the food has been horrible and I will never go back. Most recently I got the Sesame Chicken (which I have gotten in the past) but was this was not white meat that I requested and paid extra for, was so spicy it made my eyes tear up, was not battered crispy and was drowned in hot sauce. In the past it has always been a sweet Asian sauce with sesame seeds on it and crispy chicken. Sesame chicken has always been sweet and not flaming hot (even when I had occasionally gotten from other places) I also got the House Fries Rice which was flavorless, the shrimp was raw (white and clear) and the whole container was inedible and I just threw it away! I also got the Crab Rangoon (that again had been getting for years) and it was flat with barely any filling and somehow was salty tasting as opposed to the normal creamy sweetness. I do not know if new owners took over or what has happened but this is NOT The Bruce Lee Kitchen that I have loved for many years and after having to throw away a significant amount of money these past 2 times because the food was so bad and literally thrown away... Seriously one of the best "Chinese" food I've had. My family has been ordering from here for years, and they hardly disappoint. The service is very quick, so you have to know what you want when you are ordering because they are busy people! The delivery is very fast and the amount of time it takes to pick up the food after you order is pretty accurate. Plus, the food always comes hot! I say that it's the best "Chinese" food in the area because it's Americanized, but not as much as other places. The combination fried rice has a lot of meat, but you can request for more shrimp for $2. The chicken and broccoli comes with plenty of sauce and plenty of chicken. The sauce can taste a little salty but it goes well with the rice. Now, I gotta save the best for last. My favorite thing at Bruce Lee Kitchen is the chicken wings! They are so crispy and juicy and have a unique flavor that's different than other fried chicken wings served at Chinese restaurants. Don't sleep on this Glen Burnie treat. I get takeout from here, the food is spiced but balanced simultaneously! The meals are made lightning quick and are fresh and delicious. Great service. The lot has ample parking. One time I ordered delivery even though I live less than a mile away (had more babies than car seats in my car at the time) and the food was at my door in 15 mins. The lovely lady and i prefer this chinese takeout place for are chinese nights. We bounce back and forth between Bruce's and Lee's Szechuan. The reason we will pick Bruce's is because there eggrolls are better in my open. There food is great for chinese takeout but then again im not real picky but my lady likes them so it passes inspection. :). What a waste of $60.00. The food was bland or too salty! I tried this place because they sent a beautiful menu to our neighborhood. The lemon chicken was a chicken patty with a lemon wedge. Bland lemon sauce. The beef egg foo young was so salty my husband could not eat it!! The crab wanton cheese tasted moldy. Such a waste of my money. I'll stick with Ka Ming. That's what I get. This area of GB is what I like to call a 'convenience hub'. Everything you could need is within a few miles of any spot you stand. That said, Chinese delivery establishments are no exception, we have at least 6 different pamphlets from places all about 5 miles from our place. We've tried them all, and this is our favorite. What makes this one so special? There's your no-brainer 'fast delivery', prices are on the lower side in comparison, and for me, it's all about the won-ton soup. I understand that that may not be a huge deal to some, but it is for me. It's fantastic here. None of that weird plastic-y taste, and the crispy noodles aren't those weird thin kind. Even the rice here is more flavorful than a few others we tried, and the shrimp eggrolls have more than 1 shrimp in them. Plus, it's called 'Bruce Lee Kitchen'...and Bruce Lee is awesome. WON'T DO THAT AGAIN! Everything had a odd smell. The shrimp toast was greasy and had a kinda weird texture. The beef and mixed vegetable have a burnt flavor. The wonton soup was was all "noodle" and no filling. And the egg rolls were gray inside! Gross! read more

I usually order the chicken and vegetables with no sauce steamed and they always accommodate me and any requests. I have been living in this area for a few years and this place has always been my go to for quick carryout. It is however a hit and miss at times. I have always loved the chicken lo mein and most of time i get the shrimp with broccoli all day special that comes with pork fried rice , an egg roll and your choice of soup. I use to love the sweet and sour chicken until i got a bad batch that was fatty and undercooked. Im not big on their fried rice because its very bland and no amount soy sauce can make it better. I just recently ate from here again with my family. As a kid, we went here all the time. It was close and the place my parents trusted. But after trying a lot of other Chinese restaurants, I don't really care much for Bruce Lee when I know where I can get better food. I don't know if they've gone downhill, or if it's just me finding better places. Over 20 years now i Order from Bruce Lee's kitchen i once order about 10 different items around noon and it got to my house in less then 20 mins hot and ready to eat. once i time to see how long it takes for there won ton soup to get cold after i get it from them took 3 hours before it got need room temp. Funny thing is the food is So hot i Have to wait before i eat some times. One day i was sitting watching a store next to Bruce Lee's for a owner while he when to get some stuff from his house .Bruce comes in with 3 boxes of food one for me two for the owner of the store as a gift. mine had frys and Pork fired rice my two fav. items of his menu. side note to this is i knew Bruce for about 7 years at that time lol. i used to ride my bike around alot when i was a teenager and stop bye for some frys or fired rice. well i might be a bit bias but he is a better cook then my mom that for sure lol. so try his menu items if u do not see some thing u like ask and he might be able to make what u looking for. i work in the food Industry for over 15 years so i can say this not every thing is on the menu at most places when u go to a place u do not like what u see on menu ask if there is a item u do like and see if they make it 50% of time places make it for u. even fast food when i work at taco bell i had some ask me to make a hard chicken taco and i ring them up for a soft and inform crew to make it hard. so i hope u try Bruce Lee's i love it read more

Better of the Chinese shops in the area. They will even cook up unique orders if you ask. For those whom like it authentic and less Americanized, this be the place. The price is also something to be happy about. For under $10 you can get most of the popular dishes in a large size. This will feed tow or leave you with lunch for another day. The truth is Bruce Lee is not the great food fighter. Bruce Lee is not good in what it cooks. The shrimp fried rice, the broccoli with chicken and the chicken with mixed chinese vegetables are awful. I have become a HUGE fan of their Singapore Mai Fun. Every time we order, it is always full of flavor. I am not a huge fan of pork, so I usually leave it out. But the shrimp and chicken taste great and the fresh herbs mixed in kick it up a notch. Not your average chinese takeout.
