First, my son was told the alternator bearings were bad and the heat had caused the fire. When we ran the car with no heat or vibration on the alternator we were told that the bearings were bad when they checked it. The discussion ended with the proprietor telling us that if we did not have 100% proof that the plug was damaged in his shop that he was under no obligation to work with us on the alternator replacement. After showing the car to another auto tech we were told that we had been overcharged for the engine replacement by about $1500.

The other tow company didn't communicate when my car was towed and delivered to the dealership. After diagnosis, it was the starter - the pricing was super high for the fix, so I declined and needed to find a tow company to get my car to my house. I called the other company and they didn't answer my call, so I gave Midas a try. They were able to get me in quickly, picked my car up and even picked up the receipt from my diagnostic at the dealership. They communicated when they were on their way to pick up my vehicle and checked in before headed to my house. They were SO agile getting my care up my long skinny driveway - it took all of 2 minutes, I swear it was like watching a surgeon.
