It's super easy to get there on the sprinter- don't even bother trying to drive down there and find parking. It's a total madhouse. There's something for everyone here. Crafts, jewelry, even a psychic reader.... A lot of people confuse this with the Farmer's Market- that's on Thursday morning. I haven't been there in years! This is called Sunset Market because it's in the evening! We've been there so many times that we know where out favorite food stands are. My oldest son loves the birria mac and cheese tacos while my youngest son loves a certain french fry stand. My partner and I love finding new food stands and trying them. They're often overlooked...and that's a shame! There's a fun kiddo area if you're bringing little ones- I've seen bounce houses there. Pro-tip- there's a line of portable restrooms by the kid bounce house section. There's also live music with local bands and a few high tops there. They go very quickly. Lots of people just grab a seat on the curb and eat. Every year, it get more and more crowded- people, strollers, dogs...it's nearly impossible to walk down certain food heavy streets to see what's down there. So, we try to time our trips to arrive as soon as the market starts and then leave when the crowds really start flowing in. And every year, it gets more and more expensive...so be prepared. Cash is king there, unless you don't mind paying service fees on credit cards and even venmo).

Walk along the Embarcadero & get a freeze on a hot day, stop by Chilanga's (the best booth there) & get my huitlacoche on. Live music, shade, delicious vendors, right across from the water. I did have a little detour from Chilanga's - while I was waiting for my spouse to park, I sat at a shady table with a woman who was telling me about the poke truck (Island Mike's) & explaining that her coworker ran it as a side hustle, and that the poke was delicious because he had lived in Hawaii. I agonized a bit - get my Chilanga's huitlacoche huarache - or try the poke? I eventually decided: it's Mother's Day, you can have ALL the things, just like at a buffet! So I went to Island Mike's first. They advertised Broke Da Mouth poke - and I was a little suspicious at first - cuz Island Mike's didn't look like a Hawaii native but a mainlander who spent some time there. BUT... I got my poke "island style" (furikake, sushi rice, and the poke - not lots of distractions like seaweed salad or ginger like in the "mainland style") - and it really was off the hook. Really fresh & delicious and perfectly made. YUM & YUM. $12 for one scoop (the smaller size) & very worth it. Of course I still needed my Chilanga's so then I got the huitlacoche huarache (a vegetarian taste of heaven - shredded lettuce, huitlacoche, Mexican cheese on a huarache (masa dough) & tried the mango passion fruit agua fresca. The huarache is huge and I'd already had the little poke, so I took most of it home to eat later. But it was just as yummy as I remembered. And the agua fresca is amazing. I'll still crave Chilanga's but now I'll crave Island Mike's too. I need to get down here more often because it is a super fun outing that is too good to waste on tourists!

There was live music and aa few food stalls. Good Eatz (filipino/hawaiian fusion) caught my eye mainly because they have a few Ube pastries (mochi, ube bar, etc). I first ordered the ube bar which passed the test so I went back to order the mochi. They also offer lumpia, spam musubi and chicken wing combo plates and pork dumplings.

Found this gem of a taco spot that is just as good as the best I've had anywhere I've had in Southern California. They're usually open late, the portions are pretty darn large, and the prices are more than reasonable. They have a great assortment of toppings and salsas and make their tortillas fresh. This place pretty much checks all the important boxes for me personally when it comes to taco spots I love. I came here late at night and the line wasn't too crazy. Not as lively as more popular spots I've been to, but there were a few people in line. You do get the vibe that this spot is a favorite among locals. I ordered a vampiro (crunchier tortilla with a layer of caramelized cheese that holds the meat and toppings) with asada and two al pastor tacos. Usually, I can eat that easily, but with the portions here, it was a bit of a chore. The smoky flavors and fresh toppings and salsa were all on point. The horchata I got to wash everything down was also very good. A true gem of a spot in the Inland Empire.

The food was delivered on time , hot as promised, and the driver was pleasant too. The Bennie and the Jets Pizza was my favorite. The Whipped Burrata came in a container on the side so that it wasn't melted. Very nice! My fear was that the Hot Honey would be too spicy. Not at all, the Hot Honey was a perfect compliment to the Sopressata. Also, the sourdough crust was very flavorful and had a perfect texture. The Basil was super fresh too. I don't really care for Chicken Wings, but I ordered them to try. The Wings with a BBQ Dry Rub were delicious and crispy. Not greasy. The Ranch Dill dressing ( tasted freshly prepared, unlike bottled) was a perfect accompaniment to the Wings. Cesar salad was great too, as the Romaine was super fresh and crispy. I will definitely order again for takeout, and look forward to perhaps stopping by sometime for a slice! Odie's Pizza was a great find!

Chopped Salad that comprises of Romaine lettuce, chickpea, tomato, red onion, pepperoni, mozzarella pearls with a Lemon Herb Vinaigrette was a great choice since we wanted some meat. Freshness was evident with all the vibrant colors in this salad. Benny & the Jets pizza-not your typical pizza w/Hot Honey that complimented the Evoo base, mozzarella, sopressata, whipped burrata, fresh basil & sea salt. We are meat lovers so decided to add sausage to it & it was perfect. This pizza was a sweet & savory delight that ticklled my taste buds. I would definitely come back for this again. Love that despite the labor intensive process of baking the sourdough, Odie's see's the bigger picture towards our gut health. Besides having a sourdough crust, I loved how the Hot Honey tingled my tastebuds with a sweet & spicy component. Since there was no meat, we opted for sausage. This was a satisfying pizza that I would definitely re-order.
