The only good thing I have to say is their bagels are delicious. Their customer service and the placement of signage for what kinds of bagels they have is terrible. You would expect to have that information on their menu board, but they are on the baskets that hold the bagels. My complaint is you can't see the signage on the baskets when you have 4 employees parked in the way. They wouldn't move when I mentioned it to them. When I mentioned they should have proper signage on the menu board all they could say was,"That's corporate!" The older man with black and gray hair and beard was very rude, telling all of us who were waiting for our orders to move out of the way. I'm assuming he was the manager. Here's the thing: I judge all chain restaurants by the quality of its ingredients and service. This particular Bruegger's is excellent in both categories. My favorite sandwich (offered all day) is the breakfast salmon on an Everything Bagel. The tomatoes and red onions are a wonderful accompaniment to the salty-smoky goodness of salmon. And you just can't beat a New York-style, crusty-outside-chewy-inside bagel! On service, the staff has always been friendly to me. An older guy - who seems to always be there when I go (the manager?) - is super nice and funny. This shop is close to an exit on I-74, so grab some bagels to-go and a sandwich (coffee is pretty good too) to fuel the rest of your trip! read more

While I grew up in this area I use to get thier chicken spatezle soup because I love spatezle and it created something to look forward to with my family when visiting this location. While Bruegger's bagel is a institution and in competition with McAllister's Deli and Arthur's Garden Deli its oblivious to its spunk and coffee house vibe where it seems to be Bruegger's is in a funk. I had a Asiago Parmesan bagel with their egg white and bacon that usually is spicy and has a kick where I love it. It's gone. It was alright. I had a cup of coffee where if the customer should be able to put syrup and or powdered cinnamon, vanilla and or chocolate in thier coffee. There also should've been a dairy free creamer or whipped cream for those who are lactose intolerant. They completely redone thier quality of food and made the soups go away and the dining room needs its revamping where they aren't have holes in the booth tables seating and realize that the pandemic is over and return it's seating area back to normal. Had the western bagel and my boyfriend had the plain egg and ham. They were both very good. My western was great on the everything bagel. Went to pay and wanted just a large flavored hot coffee. I mistakenly order a large flavored ice coffee. The young lady at the counter seemed annoyed. I told her not to worry bout the price difference to refund me. Bagels are pretty good.... Service is an absolute disaster. Waited 25 minutes because the Underpaid less than enthusiastic employee had assumably forgotten and then claims she had given it to us. I see a lot of complaints about service here, so I have to represent: I'm a regular weekly customer and my service has always been good. During rush times the cashier (whoever it happens to be that day) can be a bit brusque but they are never hostile nor unprofessional. Kelli, Andrew, and all the crew, seasoned or new, all seem pleased to see their customers and eager to get the orders right. I will be so happy when the dining room reopens! Being from nyc, this place reminds me of nyc bagels! They're that good! Only thing is staff can be pretty rude. One of them (I think he was the manager) rolled his eyes at me for asking for egg whites in my egg sandwich???? Excuse me sir? My family and I love Bruegger's and get bagels here often. This morning my boyfriend and I decided to head there for a brunch. The customer service was awful. We waited too long to get greeted and their "customer first attitudes" were extremely fake. Everyone seemed unhappy and impatient when we were making our decisions on our bagels. We got short responses when asking questions about the menu or were pointed to the signs above where "the answers were". 3.5 stars. Overall, friendly staff, good temperature, appears clean each time I'm here. Occasionally very good feature menu items and never a bad food choice. Healthy food choices! I wish they had free selected drink refills like so many other places have. What lowered my rating: They close at 5 pm. If they closed even 1 hour later, they could catch more people heading home from work. I got only 7 bite-sized pieces of chicken on my salad. The big thing is that some staff use gloved hands to touch/move chicken on to salad, then used same gloved hands to reach into containers for almonds, cranberries, etc. If they put chicken on last, it would reduce risk for cross-contamination and prevent possible illness. Boy was that yummy! Why does the orange juice cost so much? LOL I thought this was the only location, but luckily they have one out by me (sort of). What I really like about the food here is the quality. The sausage taste fresh and like real food, unlike something you would get at say McDonalds (ew). The eggs are fresh, not those "I cant believe its not egg-beaters" (ew). The serving size is huge, matter of fact, I ate half of the sandwich, took a nap and came back and ate the rest. Now that just makes me sound like a fat kid. I was tired! The inside is regular, just like a Panera. This place can get packed in the morning. The people who work here are very nice. In meat and potato world where everyone orders eggwiches with an additional meat, it is rather amusing to watch people's reactions when one orders hummus on an onion bagel with butternut squash soup. Server: Hummus!? What's that? We don't have that. Me: Really?? All other Brueggers carry hummus. Server: No, I never heard of it.
