I had a mixed bag experience BUT only of my own making. For a 'perfect storm' of reasons (just leaving hospital, no food for last 44 hrs, raining outside, first-timer, etc, etc) I tripped and fell as I came in the door of Creative Signature (CS from now on). It was a bad fall and I needed 911 to get up. While I waited, the gal in front of house offered water & comfort and the owner (cook?) even came out from the back and couldn't have been kinder. Long story short, I finally got up and we did go ahead and have lunch...and it was one of the most delicious breakfasts I can remember having! Crispy, perfectly cooked hash browns with melted cheese topped with caramelized onions & mushrooms. Then comes plenty of brisket, two eggs cooked perfectly 'over medium' and topped with appealing micro greens. The cherry on top was actually the 5-6 beautifully roasted carrot straws served along side. So beautiful and absolutely delicious! Bottom line, they are not only a cute place, have nice people and great food but they are also a class act...they refused to take anything in payment for our food. I'll definitely be back but hopefully my entrance will be a lot less dramatic next time. read more

Croque Madame for the win! This was a beautifully constructed and plated dish with generous amounts of bechamel cascading down the layers of this unbelievably scrumptious sandwich. Ham, bacon, cheese, eggs, more cheese on sourdough - it was perfect! The breakfast potatoes on the side weren't needed but definitely appreciated. I snuck a few bites of my spouse's chilaquiles, and I liked those too. The rest of the brunch menu made me wish I had more stomachs! So many good options. read more

This might be an unfair review because apparently the buffet is only once a month and that happened to be when I visited. It was disorganized what's an odd combination of foods that were only mediocre especially for the price. There was pre-sliced prime rib that was tough. The lettuce was warm. And the waffles and pancake pancakes were left to steam so they were not that good. The biscuits and gravy were good but the bacon was similar to what you would get at Holiday Inn. $55 for two people and all we had was water. read more

This is my favorite breakfast! I'm from out of town and I make my friend take me here every time I visit. My favorite is the chicken poblano omelette and she loves the chilaquiles. I like to upgrade to the tres leches pancakes too which are so special. Don't forget to go to the end of the plaza to get their baked goods too! read more

Delicious meals, pleasant staff, clean restroom, we will definitely drive the extra few minutes to eat here again. Salmon Benedict: tender salmon, creamy hollandaise, crispy potatoes as a side. Croque Madam: I may dream about this one, it was so delicious. Creamy sauce, over easy egg that broke beautifully. Two dishes for three of us to share was more than plenty for a brunch. The had basic coffee which was hot and good (not diner-ish weak washing water here!). I have my eye on the chilaquiles & a few other dishes to try next. First time and service and food was excellent. Our waitress was so busy but got to every table with a smile and an unbelievable accuracy on doing it all. I love avocado toast so that's what I got. I recently had one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've encountered in the Quad Cities, particularly when it comes to restaurants. Our waitress seemed completely disengaged and inattentive, which set the tone for the entire meal. When we mentioned it was our first visit, she simply stared blankly at us and failed to offer any recommendations or engage in conversation. For my meal, I chose the Salmon Toast, while my wife opted for the Mexican Skillet. Let's start with the positives: the food quality itself was impressive, boasting fresh ingredients that truly deserve a solid 10/10 rating. However, that's where my praise ends. *NEED* to go! It was my first time at this restaurant, but my parents had been here once before and talked it up. It doesn't look like much from the front (pretty unassuming window, the restaurant shares a space with La Michoacán). We ordered the barbacoa tacos, the pesto chicken sandwich, the mo sandwich and conchita sandwich. Dinner highlights were the barbacoa tacos (tender meat, traditional onions and cilantro) and sauce for dipping (must have been broth from the meat! Kind of like birria but not); mo sandwich (super fresh sourdough bread, bacon, caramelized onions, chipotle aioli, topped with what appeared to be micro greens!!! Say what, microgreens in Silvis?!); and the chicken pesto sandwich (just super moist; that incredible sourdough bread, fresh pesto and again topped with greens). I don't think people know about this hidden gem yet, but I've lived in Chicago for 10+ years and now Boston and it's one of the better meals I've ever had here in the QC. The food was very good. The prices are reasonable but, the music volume is too loud. The inside of the restaurant doesn't appear to have any sound abatement so the noise level from the music and other customers makes for noisy environment. read more

I could not recommend this spot more. By far some of the most creative and delicious food in the Quad Cities. If you're a coffee lover, even better, the best lattes in town also! What a surprise! Last week I was in the mood for one of my favorite treats - watermelon juice. I stopped into La Michoacana, looked to my left and I couldn't believe how good the food looked at the new restaurant that shares the space with them, Creative Pastry and Coffee. I thought, I need to try something here right away so on the spot, i decided to grab lunch. My family was waiting in the car so I waved them in. We tried three different dishes and they were all amazing. tacos, a pesto chicken sandwich and a steak burrito. We were all blown away! The taste, the presentation and the side salad were all incredible. We all agreed our food was every bit as good or better than anywhere we've eaten in a long time. Delicious! I had the Berry Toast & my friend had the French Toast... beautifully plated, covered with lots of locally sourced fresh fruit.
