Very disappointing location. A friend and I stopped in here about 1 PM on a weekday afternoon. Unfortunately, they were unable to make iced coffee due to not having any ice. As well, they were out of various sweet treats. The vibe inside is odd, the restaurant seems very empty as tables are missing. And several flies were flying around and very pesky as we sat at our table to talk. Would not return to this location. read more

I work in the area and visit the New Hope Bruegger's Bagels at least once a week. I am greeted with a friendly smile and a 'welcome'. They verify my order and promptly make it. Sometimes I have to wait because there are 3-4 orders ahead of me, so is life. I get a couple of minutes of downtime. I will keep coming back to this Bruegger's Bagels as long as I work in this area. Ordered my bagel and coffee through the app because when you make an account in the app you get a free bagel & cream cheese with a purchase! I paid $2.92 for the coffee and bagel. I got it toasted and it was warm & crispy. There was plenty of cream cheese inside, I just wish they would cut the bagel in half. I had placed an online order one day and got to the restaurant only to be told some of the equipment wasn't working and they wouldn't be able to make my food. I asked for a refund but they weren't able to do it in store. I was extremely disappointed and frustrated. I went back about a week later to see if they would be kind enough to make my same order if I showed the email and explained the situation. The young lady working was very kind and understanding and started making my order right away! Not sure what has happened here, they used to be really good. Is horrible. Not only is it not a good texture, but it has an off taste and different types. Don't really taste that different. Philadelphia whipped cream cheese is much better. Secondly, the bagels are okay but I asked to have them sliced and they were sliced so poorly that the bottoms were probably a quarter inch thick and the tops were very thick. I will not return again. I will say that the store was clean and the staff was very nice. But could not make up for the lack of quality and taste in the food. I only purchased bagels and cream cheese. read more

I am pleased to update my review of this Bruegger's to a more favorable one. It seems like they've gotten their act together over there. I was happy to see this morning when I stopped in that they had several people behind the counter, and even though they were busy, they were managing to keep up with the line of customers and move things along for everyone. The staff got my order 100% right, even though I had customized changes to the standard. The got me checked out, bagged up and out the door quickly and seemed to be communicating well with each other in a way that they used to not do. I'm glad to see it and hope this is not a fluke and is a permanent change for the good. read more

This location is a nightmare every time I go in. Some free advice: -You need a dedicated cashier and better communication between the line and the cashier about what people are buying. -If you are going to tell people to jump the line to pay, you need to be prepared with a fast cashier who knows what they're doing or to give out numbers because that stupid move will cause a fist fight or shaming. -Social distancing space is necessary, do not call people in line forward into other people's personal space. It causes tension. -You need to anticipate how to help men who are juggling too many items away from the register. Men don't know how to carry multiple items at once, you need to help men who are clueless organize their order. -Don't you dare tell a customer to go into someone else's space in a pandemic. Best bagels I can find in the TC. Not only do they taste good, they look beautiful! Welcoming people, good atmosphere to hang out, what's not to love? I should add that I don't drink coffee, so won't weight in on those options, but a coffee snob will likely be disappointed. Never been to one of these chains before but it was surprisingly good! A kind employee explained the menu for us and we got her recommended the Herby Turkey which was delicious and we also got a Turkey Chipotle which is great if you like chipotle mayo. The place had a great vibe with cute coloring pages and books. It was cool and clean which was a great. If you were retroactively stalking me, this would be the best jumping off place. Which is to say, there are very few businesses any closer to where I lived, back when I lived in Minneapolis. So, if you had a DeLorian and the inexplicable desire to run into 2005 Ben, hanging around here would be a good idea. As in, my old home phone number had the same exchange as this restaurant, it was so close. Wifey and I went to college with the Brue kids (which would be the name of the founder---Bruegger was his nickname). One of whom, I belatedly learned, called wifey a bitch. Sadly, by the time I found this out, it was too late to damage him. I will leave it to the universe to sort out this injustice in its own time. If you're in Minneapolis, these are about the best bagels you're going to find. Which is sort of damning by faint praise. Einstien Bros.' bagels suck. Byerly's cinnamon-sugar bagel is awesome, but it's not really bagelly---its almost like bread. What I will say about Brueggers is that they make pretty good bagel sandwiches. Both for breakfast and lunch. And they'll give you your bagel sandwich on any bagel you want, whereas some places try to charge you extra for anything other than a plain. Which is BS. read more

I don't know when Brueggers decided on the system where one person makes everything and one person takes care of the register and, NO MATTER how many people need sandwiches made, they will stick to this but...it sucks. Like, really hard. I've been waiting to order plenty of times, all while the bonetard at the register just sits and watches because there are no customers to ring up, and it just plain blows. This location is one of the slowest I've been to and I'm a frequent visitor as I really like the sandwiches and it wasn't my 1st time at this location. I know that my sandwich takes a while but there were 2 staff members doing miscellaneous tasks & small talking while 1 was helping those in line. Waited in line for a 15 min while there was only 1 couple ahead of me. The 2 employees there both had their attention to them. after seeing how long the breakfast sandwiches were going to take I order a normal bagel with cream cheese and when he went to heat it up he put it on the over tray that had leftover burnt peppers and onions on it so now its contaminated with that flavor i dont want. he also only put the bagel in the over for about 10 seconds and thats nowhere near enough time. it also looked like he had a toaster right next to the other oven that was working but he didnt use for some reason? YEP ITS TERRIBLE. Chances are you looked up this brueggers to validate a particularly bad experience you had. At least that's how I got here. Turns out everyone in the last 3 years has experienced the shit service on display here. Long line at Fat Nats eggs next door prompted us to check out this brueggers. We walked in and my girlfriend ordered a chicken Caesar salad, but based on the employees reaction it must have come out as "can you lie down on a bed of nails?" because the employee wasn't having it. Despite the fact that it's right there on the menu. While we were watching the girl behind the counter begrudgingly go about making the worlds most vexing salad, a mother came up and asked for a little more hot chocolate for her 6-7 year old daughter. At this point the manager came out of the back and said "well I guess she gets free refills then doesn't she?" The mom looked super embarrassed and then said "also is there any way you could serve it a little less hot?" My internal monologue was like "wrong move mom." The manager responded with- "It's hot chocolate! So does she want WARM chocolate then?" My girlfriend had enough. She told the lady making the order that we would be leaving, and as we were walking out the door one of the staff said to us "are you fucking kidding me?" The mom and daughter were still standing right there. Then you get to the woman, who I am assuming is the manager because she has been there every time. Her customer service is awful consistently. I have to agree that the general manager is really hard on her employees and it can be uncomfortably tense when they get a rush of people and she starts barking orders at them. I'm glad they take service seriously but the tone is noticeable to customers. Other feedback is that sometimes they are stingy with the cream cheese. The reason I am writing a review and a 5 star one no less is 100% because of the staff there. They were FANTASTIC! So upbeat, cheerful, extremely efficient and fast and super customer-service oriented. I was tempted to ask them if that particular location gave ownership interests or something to their employees because they were so incredibly superior to the staff at my usual Bruegger's in Plymouth. This place disgusted me. I wish I could give negative feedback. All associates were very unprofessional and sloppy. The associate whom took my bagel and began roasting the bagel. Then she proceeded to touch a bunch of raw meat for another person's order; touching the other vegetables and dairy products without changing her gloves; then came back to my bagel with her meat juice covered gloves. Upon paying for coffee; I went to the self serve area to find they were empty. The associate then said that they stop serving coffee at 10am (it was 10:22) and had to make it to order. Then Julie responds with, "Can't you see I'm f*cking busy?!" I'm standing there shocked because that's definitely not a way to speak to your employees. So, there's bagels, coffee, what you'd expect. Nothing out of the ordinary there. But I live nearby so I stop every couple of months or so for a coffee and bagel or a dozen for my coworkers etc because it's convenient. My main criticism though, as others have mentioned is how you could cut the tension between the staff with a plastic butter knife. They scurry around each other and mutter to each other in front of customers. It's so awkward I just try to get in and out as quickly as possible. I was super disappointed today after my experience with the manager (tall blonde lady with short hair). She was super rude. I had gotten a gift card for Christmas that I wanted to use to pay for my meal. It wouldn't work and so the lady at the register called over the manager. She made a comment "well people are taking gift cards out of their slips and then the strip doesn't work!" In a super snippy voice, like it was my fault. Sorry, they don't fit in the wallet with the slip on. Then she started blaming it on the fact that they got a new system and asked where I got it. It was a gift... that's what a gift card is. She told me I need to take it back to the place I got it and let them know..... REALLY? Just super rude and acted like it was MY fault and MY problem. I love Brueggers, but this manager needs to learn how to treat customers with respect. She could have apologized and told me she would report the issue and I would have been happy but the way she went about it was so rude! read more

Mouthy rude staff and mediocre food makes me never want to come back. I live a block from here and used to frequent it as my morning bagel shop but the staff is usually rude and the manager is always rude. One morning they left the paper that separates slices of cheese on my sandwich and called to let them know and see if maybe I could stop and get a new sandwich later ( I couldn't stop right then since I was already at work) and the manager scoffed at me and said she would send me a coupon in the mail and I said no really I love a block away no reason to waste a stamp but she was insistent to send it to me in the mail. A month later I called her to let her know I still hadn't received anything and wondered if she could resend it or I could come in that morning and the rude response is something I will not even repeat.
