    Breakfast sandwich + hash brown
    Neha I.

A little disappointed... The breakfast sandwich is $10 which is not a bad price especially because it was pretty big. I added a hashbrown to it for $2.50 which was good. The focaccia was good but everything else was not. It only has aioli which was bland and egg & cheese which didn't add much flavor. I wouldn't get it again. Expect at least a 20 min line if you come weekend mornings.

I'll tell ya what I want, what I really really want.... The answer is always @martysdeli Nordeast Mpls on Lowry This one is in my all time favorites ever. Marty's is a jackpot spot. Pro tip check their instagram stories to see if they're sold out. They make their focaccia bread daily and when it's gone it's gone for the day. It's normal to spot a long line, don't let that make you hesitate. It goes fast and is so worth it. My absolute love em items: Pool & Yacht Club (this sandwich could be my love language. The first time I went here I had lunch and also got another sandwich to have later for dinner because it was that good.) Chocolate Olive Oil Cookie (this is one of the best cookies I've ever had hands down. Crispy but soft, smooth chocolate, salty bits, so. frickin. good. I am not usually a chocolate cookie gal but dang this one is beyond good) highly recommend getting your own because you're not gonna want to share. Maybe get one for later too even. You won't regret it. Additional shout out for their breakfast sandwich and hash browns. Yummm They also have a cute little patio out back to enjoy. The Pool & Yatch

First time trying this sandwich place that I've been wanting to check out and wow it did not disappoint! I went to get The Pool & Yatch and it was the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever had. The greens were incredible fresh and crisp and I loved the fennel and pickles in there as it added a great acidity. I thought the whole sandwich was perfectly composed and ate shockingly light. The portions are big but I'm not complaining. It can easily feed 2 people. I loved that there is a kids menu so I'll be back with my kids to enjoy a nice lunch. This will be street parking when you come and there is a small space for seating but the place is very inviting and cozy. I look forward to coming back and trying more things from the menu. It's incredible to come across a restaurant in the twin cities that is exciting and creative and has a great flow among workers.

Their breakfast sandwiches are worth the hype but I DREAM about the Dave's Fave sandwich coming back in the summertime. Also love dill pickle pasta salad, tomato soup and focaccia, and The Uncle Pete. Also love how much this shop shows up for the community. Be prepared for a long line on the weekends but it's for a reason!

I've visited Marty's Deli two times now and WOW WOW WOW! First, the deli is very small with limited seating and tables so during busy times, it can be difficult to find seating. It's great to visit in the summer so you can enjoy their expanded outdoor seating. The breakfast = really good! Highly recommend the egg and cheese with bacon, hashbrowns, and whipped feta for dipping. The hashbrowns are next level so do NOT skip these! The lunch is better than the breakfast IMO. The Pool & Yacht is so fresh tasting and the pepperoncini was an amazing touch. The Raffi Luigi was also out of this world! The mustard aioli was absolutely delicious. Overall, highly recommend visiting Marty's Deli... you can't go wrong with whatever you order! Can't wait to go back.

On the quest for the top breakfast sandwich in Minny and this one is near the top of the list! Always a long line on weekends but believe me when I say it's worth the wait. Cute restaurant and a lot of extra options in the fridge and other local offerings. Staff is great and the restaurant really shows up in the community (including having a notary on Thursdays!). Can't wait to go back!

so yummy! we came on a saturday morning around 10am and waited around 30 min to order and receive our food. we got the breakfast sandwich with breakfast sausage and hash brown and the lefty. def breakfast sandwich was better but both were delicious. we also got potato salad on the side. inside is very small - only a few tables. we stood to wait until a table was leaving. a little on the expensive size for sure but worth visiting.

I have had this spot on my to-try list for so long and now that I can officially cross it off, I am mad at myself for not prioritizing it sooner! And, I'm adding it back on because I want to try more of these sandwiches. I went on a Thursday around noon, there was no line and I was able to get a seat inside with no problem. I heavily debated what to order because I wanted to try everything. Ultimately ended up with the Pool and Yacht. Excellent mix of ingredients and I cannot emphasize how fresh every single layer of this sandwich is. I also had the hibiscus iced tea - it's pricey for the size but, oof, what a treat!

    Lefty (make it spicy)
    Tonny Y.

I stopped by awhile back and got the Lefty (spicy), egg sandwich (forgot to take pictures), the Uncle Pete (also forgot picture), and the soup of the day (pumpkin this day). All of it was delicious! Let's first highlight the focaccia/bread that is used on all of these sandwiches, absolutely amazing and delicious! The Lefty (spicy) had a great crunch to it and definitely MN spicy in my opinion. The egg and cheese was so buttery and almost just melted in my mouth. The uncle Pete felt like a perfectly balanced BLT. My favorite, the pumpkin soup was so flavorful; almost tasted like a light curry and so many different spice combinations. The staff were all amazing. The space is a bit small inside, but has a cute vibe. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by.

Marty's is worth the wait! I've driven by a few times and seen the line out the door, but I totally get it now. The breakfast sandwiches are next level! The fresh focaccia is incredible and the eggs are perfectly cooked. The vibes and atmosphere are also amazing with tons of outdoor seating available. I can't wait to go back!

    Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwich

I have been seeing this restaurant on my TikTok for months now, so I finally decided to go. Let me tell you it was worth the hype. I got there around 10:30am and there was a line. It was around 10-15 minutes which was not horrible. You order at the counter and I got the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. It came on focaccia bread which I've never had that combo before. It made all the difference. The eggs were fluffy and tasty, they did not hold back on the amount of bacon, and the cheese was nice and melty. I enjoyed every single bite of this sandwich. They have a back patio which I sat at and it was cute. I will definitely come back to try a lunch sandwich!

This place is helping convert me into a sandwich lover! Lots of tasty options. I've been for both breakfast and lunch and have loved everything. The focaccia is delicious and the sandwiches are well-balanced with toppings and INCREDIBLY tasty. I wish the space was a bit bigger and had more space to sit - this is more of a to-go spot. I also wish they had dedicated parking.

    Aaron S.

The breakfast egg sandwich is worth the hype! It's chock full of cheesy eggs and if you are lick me you'll add hash browns and sausage and it all comes together spectacularly. Not to mention the focaccia it's all in is house made and delicious! Expect a line (even if it's raining ) for sure but they move everything along pretty quickly. There are some seats on the inside but they don't look all that used to sit at busy times to sit and eat as the shop is full of people waiting for their orders. They have a medium size patio that could work if you want to sit down with your breakfast. Next time I come back I want to check out their lunch menus.

In Sarasota where we just lived the last 5 years, a new deli closed after just 2 years, and there is nothing left. We've been visiting family in Sarasota every year for 40 years. Gone too in the Twin Ciries is the ownership by brothers Scot and Stu of Hopkin's beloved Crossroads Deli just last year. The new owners, a corporation owning 6-8 other restaurants have CHANGED almost all the recipes for breads, cakes , wonderous cookies and 80 % of all pastries! No more butter, no more fine ingredients and no more of their once " Grossinger's taste/quality" STELLAR seeded rye bread! They even eliminated the lemon flavoring. In their incomparable lemon coconut cake! Their stuffed cabbage is one of their only true deli dishes left. Sandwiches are half their original size...... heart breaking after going there 3-4 times a week for 25 years........ Cecil's of course had to cut back on the $$ use of butter in their pastries. But they have WORKED VERY HARD to still retain their wonderous long long ago heart warming flavors. ALL their sandwiches are AUTHENTIC. Old world New York City flavors! Made with care and love. My husband loves their beautiful generous Nova salmon platte. Noshing away happily! I love their pastrami Rachel's with plentiful half sour pickles lots of Russian dressing and creamy Cole slaw. Mmmmmm. I hope and pray Cecil's owner refrains for a long long time from selling his rare business. We must support Cecil's too.... Or lose it with all the others, and lose part of our joy and heart. I immediately started to worry. Unfortunately my worries have slowly " come true" ...and with an extremely upset heart, Crossroads has changed. Scott and Stu had dedication and sheer love of cooking and baking with the BEST of ingredients and exquisite rare perfect use of spices. Their flavors in everything they touched were some of the VERY BEST I have experienced nationally and in my home state of NY where my father taught Biochemistry in the Bronx at Einstein Med School (1955-1980) and where my intense passion for Delicatessen cuisine originated. Coming almost daily to Crossroads truly made my day! I adored EVERYTHING they created. Even shipped a large lemon coconut cake to mom's beloved 90 year old boss at Scarsdale Medical Center 8 years ago! Today: Their rye bread with caraway seeds was identical to Grossinger's. Now almost zero flavor. The broasted chicken if served hot fresh out of the cooker is still excellent. Some of the original spices gone. The lemon coconut cake has zero real lemon flavor just deep yellow coloring, Their pastrami and corned beef also lost 1/3 to 1/2 of their original flavor plus the size of the sandwiches 1/3-1/2 the original size. The new main dishes are almost tasteless. Their original recipes for matzo ball soup, etc are still good - - vary 8-10 rating. They no longer use as much/ perhaps any butter in their coffee cake " breads" which used to be a 10. Many cookies and tiny pastries in the same display case are still good. Compared to many other restaurants today they are now just " an ok". Gone are the days when Crossroads Deli was " TRULY SPECTACULAR "......

Today I tried their Roast Beef on Weck, which is carved roast beef on a type of roll called a Weck (a Kaiser-style roll topped with coarse salt and caraway seeds.). The restaurant was busy, and this is not a trendy place! I'd be surprised if there was anyone in the restaurant who was not of Medicare age (which also describes me; I'm not being ageist, just truthful). This is something that is available for lunch, during the week (not on weekends). Previously, I wanted to order this before. It was at the beginning of the lunch hour, so unfortunately the end pieces were cooked well-done. I asked if they would cut from the center, which is much more rare, but they wouldn't do that. This time, we came later and I could see that the roast beef was gloriously rare, which is what I like. The sandwich was quite enjoyable because it was juicy and flavorful. It comes with a side of cole slaw which is vinegar based (which I liked, but isn't traditional in the Midwest). It's difficult to find good, rare roast been in the Twin Cities, so this was another good find. My wife had the matzo ball soup, which remains high quality. The beef on weck sandwich (with coleslaw) was nearly $20, which is a bit on the expensive side. The service is spotty. It depends upon who is your waitstaff person (I knew it would be slow based on our previous experience with this person).

On the other side is the eat-in, take-out deli sandwiches, that are made to order. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. The bread is freshly made (crispy baguette type) and you have a choice of Roast Beef, Roast Turkey, Tuna Salad, Smoked Ham, or Corned Beef. All sandwiches are $16.50 each (including tax) and come with a choice of mayonnaise, spicy stone ground mustard, red leaf lettuce, thin sliced red onion, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, raw grated horseradish, pickled jalapeno, and roasted bell pepper. The default includes all toppings so if you don't want everything, be sure to specify what you do NOT want. Surprisingly, they do not carry any diet soda, nor do they stock any national brands (only local pop). There is a large menu on the wall, and you order at the counter and pick up the order (no table service). The food was attractively presented, and very, very good. My only gripe (besides the lack of diet pop) is that it's on the expensive side for lunch. Two sandwiches, a couple of bags of chips, and a couple of cans of pop will easily top $40, although I'd say the quality is top-notch.

They always have very unique items such as unique chips, candy and drinks! This trip I got clearly Canadian...where would you be able to find that drink? No where else. They also have gluten free bread which makes me a happy gal. Today I got a Rueben on gfree bread...delish! Don't walk but run to this local favorite in town!

I absolutely love the duck! The fact they had duck!! Customer service was top notch can't forget about my new buddy in the glasses. This is my MF place!! Top spot on all of the street. I'm looking forward to trying more on my next visit. Basically cleared out the hot dogs the other day and I was like the first person in the shop lol sorry but not sorry. I didn't try them before but they were damn good and shouldn't of been that damn delicious and they have that snap too. I got a chuck roast too for later in the month or maybe I'll try to do easter? Is it beef or duck that they have on Easter I wonder.. either this place is the dream spot of the MEATS (PAUSE! LOL that's me being goofy). Young and older people should fully support this place. I recently moved here but this is my JAMMY JAM!! I wonder if they had meat jam or pickled onions? Honestly somebody to build a bakery and cheese shop nearby so you just get my meat, cheese and bread all on one perfect block. Might have to find a job or buy a house near this place. If they haven't been here for 100yrs.. I hope you make it to that and another 100yrs. Btw who's the MF who made this pie?! This is the best apple pie ever had. I come from San Diego.. we're supposedly doing an apple pie considered like the best but someone was lying. This apple is delicious!! I'm coming for another pie next .. possibly this week but I need to stop spending. You BETTER have those pies on stock

St Paul Meat Shop markets themselves as St Paul's only whole animal butcher shop. One of our favorite items is the pastrami. Their pastrami is amazing! Made and smoked in house. It is sliced thin and makes a great sandwich. They also have turkey which I believe is cooked sous vide. Our last visit we picked up some skirt steak and their juicy lucy burgers. As we were checking out, there was one condiment that we forgot and it didn't appear that they had that. The very nice gentleman was able to locate some for us and helped us out. Quality and service has always been top notch.
