They were really nice but they wanted an outrageous amount for the part that was needed.

Excellent customer service and the repairs were done quickly. It's great to have a auto shop in Star.

I really wanted to like this place. I think it has been in Star a long time and is generally well…read morereviewed. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Found a nail in my wife's driver side rear tire this morning around 9, a slow leak at 26 psi for a 32 psi tire. Called around and found a few places that could do the repair today. Two were in Star, and one of them wouldn't be able to repair the tire until 3 or 4 pm. The guy at Star Tire said I could bring the car over right away and they could take care of me. We dropped the car before 10 am. The gentleman said the car should be ready around 11:30 am. That was fine with us, as we had the other car. We were told that we would be called when the car was ready. We had not received a call by 2 pm and we were out doing an errand so we dropped by. The same gentleman told me that they had tried two prior repairs of the tire, but leaking persisted. They were on their third try. I've never had a flat take three attempts to repair. We were told the car would be ready shortly. We decided to wait in the car. The repair was completed within about 10 minutes, we paid, and were preparing to leave. Dan, who I believe is the owner, told us to check and make sure that the key was in the car. It wasn't. Went back in and had to wait another 5 minutes because they didn't know where the key was. It was eventually found and we were on our way. 3 hours after we were told the car would be ready. I appreciate that they were able to take care of my car today. Everyone is nice here, and they seem to do a good business. As I said, they are well reviewed. We just moved to Star in June and I am looking for an auto shop to take care of the maintenance and repair of both our vehicles. Unfortunately, after this experience with ST&A, I'll be looking elsewhere.

Thanks for stretching them out, guys--real professional. If you're looking to have your vehicle treated like a high school shop class experiment, this is your spot. I had a screw in my back tire and unfortunately it was not repairable and fortunately I have a matching spare mounted on the back so I was able to get on the road while I wait for my special ordered tire to arrive. They inspected all 4 tires and put the bad tire and rim in my rig and installed the spare and they had told me they charged $35 for flats and they didn't want to charge me. The service advisor attending to me said he wasn't going to charge me because he didn't fix the tire. Man I tell you all they didn't to get me back on the road in 30 minutes was worth a lot more than $35 so here I'm am doing my best to show how grateful I am for a shop that wants to gain all my future business. Definitely a great shop and you can't go wrong with any of the advisors there.

I recently had to replace my battery. The old battery looked like it had leaked acid, and when I…read morefirst looked at it, there was much of the acidic powder buildup on the postive terminal. After cleaning up the corrosion as best I could and installing the new battery, over the next few days I had three instances of the car not starting. On Monday morning first thing I brought my car into CBA, my first experience using them. CBA is very close to my home, within a long walk, and I liked the convenience. The shop is very visible off 44 and very clean looking. I was greeted by Briana, and she was always polite, courteous, and professional. She explained that, without an appointment, it might be the next day before I could get my car back. I understand that shops get busy and that trying to fit in a customer without an appointment requires that the customer be patient. Since I am retired and I have my wife's car at my disposal, I was fine with that. That day, I received both a text and an email with my inspection report. Briana did call me in the afternoon and explained the findings. I was a little concerned that the technician initially recommended a new battery, when mine was brand new. It sounded like Briana had to tell him that the battery was brand new, and then a closer examination was done. Briana and I both agreed that the terminals would need to be cleaned up and possibly replaced due to the excessive corrosion from the leakage of the old battery. The battery would then be rechecked to make sure it was holding a charge. I had hoped that Briana might call me back that day with more information, but apparently no further work was done on the car. The next morning, at 8 am, an hour after they opened, though I had hoped for a call and update, I called and spoke to Briana. She told me she would check in with the technician and call me back, which she did about a half hour later. It turned out that after cleaning the terminals of corrosion, the positive terminal needed replacing. The battery was fine, and the car was ready for pick up. Today, the car continues to be working fine. In summary, Briana was always polite, courteous, and professional. The repair was relatively simple, after the initial inspection, and I was charged what was originally estimated, and that did not seem excessive. I was a little concerned that the technician initially jumped to the conclusion that I needed a new battery, since mine was brand new. Ultimately, the right diagnosis was reached. Since it was a simple repair, I would have appreciated not having to wait until the next day to get my car back, but busy shops sometimes have to do that, if you don't have an appointment. Overall, I was happy with CBA and Briana and plan to bring both of my cars back if I need future service.
