I tried using Yelp to help find a shop that had high ratings & mostly positive reviews. I had a shop (Walter @ Mac's Automotive) convince me that replacing my rear end assembly instead of rebuilding the differential would be more cost-effective due to labor & parts. Initially quoted me $2300 ($1700 for the rear end) + $500 for 2 sensors that had to be replaced (told me that I had to do all 4). Ended up having Scott tow my truck from that shop to his & I told him what The prior shop had told me. To my surprise, Scott came back that same day quoting me $1300 for the rebuild. Then he mentioned the sensors & expressed their importance but I didn't have to do all 4. All said & done........$1655 out the door! Thank God For Perfection Drivetrain!

I took an older Toyota with transmission issues in to Darin to figure out what it would take to fix it. He quoted me $60 to do that. He checked it out, burped it, added fluid and it ran like new. Then he only charged me $30! He also noted the u joints were going bad. He replaced them, and they're still working well. When the clutch went out on my 2011 Nissan Frontier, the dealer wanted over $2500 for parts and labor. Darin got it done for $1900, and it's working great. The one problem I had with it (idiot light wouldn't go out) was sorted out by Darin and crew a month later at no charge. They do good work, and they aren't trying to take you for a ride. He could have told me the tranny was bad on the Toyota, and needed replaced for all I knew. I really appreciate being able to trust them.

Darren brought my truck in and looked it over for a transmission leak in the front differential. When Darren explain what the problem was he advised that it may still be under warranty. So instead of charging me for something that he could've made money on he went the extra mile and made sure that it was still under warranty, which it was. Darren called the Chevy dealership for me and verified that this was a warranty issue. I must say that in this day and age it was very refreshing to have a honest dhop like this one highly recommend if I ever have any transmission work I will definitely come here.

They called me a…read morefew days later and told me the unit had been tore down and that is was in good shape but requiring a new 3rd gear set, speed o gear, seals, and a general overhaul. I asked them to include a new clutch and pressure plate as well. Not only did they complete all I asked, they had the flywheel re-surfaced, painted the entire unit and did all this for a more than reasonable price. This is the second transaction I have had with Clark's and have referred them to others. In this day and age it is difficult to find the professionalism, quality, cost and timely attention that Clark's provides.
