He has helped me so much throughout a recent breast reconstruction after mastectomy and also, just last month, a rhinoplasty.   I was probably at one of the most vulnerable moments of my life when I found out I would need a mastectomy, and Dr. Bruno has helped me move beyond this major change to my body with confidence. When I was overwhelmed by the various breast reconstruction possibilities, he knew exactly what would look best for me and get the results that would make me feel happy. The results are impressive; I never imagined after a mastectomy my breasts would look and feel so natural. At appointments, he is very present and focused on you. He never makes you feel rushed and is reassuring and kind. I have grown to value his opinion and his aesthetic judgement very much, and he is of course a masterful and highly credentialed surgeon. I feel so well cared for by this doctor. You can put your trust in him. The professionalism of the staff is excellent at every turn. Cara, Maren, Shawna, Casey, Patti are all so welcoming, gracious, supportive, and responsive. There is good communication--you will never feel lost in the shuffle--and they also create an all around pleasant atmosphere, with thoughtful details like fresh flowers in the waiting area. Cindy, the esthetician here, is a wealth of information and also a pleasure to talk to--and she is right on about what you need to do for your skin. That Dr. Bruno and Dr. Brown have managed to hire and retain such an outstanding medical and office staff commands respect and surely speaks volumes about them not just as doctors, but as people. My rhinoplasty was only three weeks ago, which means there is still lots of swelling, as is to be expected with this procedure. Even from what I can see this early on, though, I think I will love the way my new nose is going to look. I will try to remember to update this review when the final result emerges in several months. Well, okay, one thing I did feel disappointed about is that I thought, when I was first waking up from surgery, Dr. Bruno said he was going to check up on me later (I was still quite groggy, though). Then I did not hear from him later, but since I was recovering well at home with no problems, I suppose really the only thing there is to say about it here is that because the idea had been put into my head I just wanted, you know, to be checked up on. The other day, at my follow-up appointment, I paged through a scrapbook they had in the waiting room of very sweet thank you notes sent in by patients. There were even notes written in crayon by children who, I'm guessing, needed reconstructive surgery of some sort, and looking through this book made even clearer to me just how many people's lives they have positively transformed. I personally am deeply touched by the big difference Dr. Bruno and everyone at CCPS have made in my own life. I'm sure this review is far too long for online, but oh well--because they've done more for me than I could ever fully explain on Yelp, and I can honestly say I look and feel better now than I did before I had breast cancer. Everyone at Bruno Brown Plastic Surgery is amazing and they make you feel so special as a patient! The lovely receptionists, Lori the patient coordinator, Lala their marketing guru, and Alex the medical assistant all excel at their roles and provide excellent service which makes every visit an enjoyable experience! It's hard to put into words how incredible it is to benefit from Dr. Bruno's expert surgical skills. He really took the time to fully understand my goals and the results that I was hoping for when I had a tummy tuck and breast lift, and I am beyond thrilled with the results! It has been life changing to repair the damage done to my body during pregnancies that no amount of diet and exercise could improve. He helped me to accurately understand the recovery process and was there every step of the way to make sure it all continued to heal properly. I continue to go back and see him for Botox injections and he is equally as wonderful for those type of minimal procedures. I'm also a patient of Sara, the skin care specialist who has been equally as life changing! She is incredibly knowledgeable and really helps you to understand the way to change and improve your skin with their medical grade products and other treatments. I have always been big into skin care and have had various laser treatments over the years, but I have seen such dramatic changes while under Sara's care and I know that it is really improving my skin and collagen from deep within. I cannot recommend her enough!! We are all so misled by commercial skin care brands which do not contain enough active ingredients to really make a change... I can NOT praise the talent and professionalism of Dr. Pamela Tan at Bruno Brown Plastic Surgery enough! I went to see her to get my ear repaired after suffering a full rip from heavy earrings. I was blown away by not only how kind and reassuring she was but by how easy and seamless the entire process was. She repaired my ear and now I wear earrings like nothing had ever happen. While there I took leap of faith and asked her about getting lip fillers. I have always been self conscious bout my crooked tiny lips.( When I smile my top lip disappeared.) I was also terrified of looking like a duck. She assured me that she could do it and make it look natural. Dr. Tran is such a professional that I trusted her with this and she was right! I LOVE my Lips. I have gotten such great compliments on them. She started off small and allowed me to come back for touch ups until I felt like they were the shape I wanted. She also answered all over dramatic texts and calls I had after the procedure to make sure I felt confident and that everything was ok with healing. I have been back twice now for another filler! I met Dr. Pamela Tan after a horrible car accident that damaged a part of my face. She came into the ER and kept me calm and told me what was going on. I had to have surgery immediately to clean out the wounds and stitch it up properly. She did an amazing job, especially after what I gave her to work with! I've since had a revision surgery with her in her office in Chevy Chase. She performed the revision surgery with only local anesthesia, which I was amazed that I literally felt nothing the entire time she was working on me. The nurses and techs played music for me in the room and kept me talking to keep my mind off what was going on. I was so nervous, but they helped me so much by just talking, I can't imagine having done this anywhere else. After 6 days my stitches came out and the first time I looked in the mirror I actually got choked up. Dr. Tan had brought me back! I cannot thank her enough. I got a facial and some Botox to help smooth everything out. It was such a wonderful experience! First, it's a plastic surgery center and a med spa, so Sara (aesthetician) spends time figuring out the best products and then also customizes the peel at the end. I got compliments for days on 'glowing skin' and she also deep cleans. The facials I usually get (at Four Seasons, Sofitel, etc) are great, but very laid out. This was much more customized. After that the doctor (the actual doctor, not an assistant!) gave me tiny Botox shots all over the problem zone. The places I've gone in the past have been big, whopping doses that leave me with a headache for the rest of the day. I can't begin to describe how much better this approach is. No headache, no marks, and the doctor really listened to what was bugging me and then fixed it. Highly, highly recommended. Excellent experience from beginning to end. read more
