Very disappointed last night at Bruno's. Chicken Alfredo was dry. The chicken tasted like it was left over and the Alfredo needed more sauce which we asked for. What an unexpected little gem! The is fresh & delicious and seasoned to perfection. The smell of garlic & herbs when you walk in was so unexpected (it's attached to a gas station). Service was excellent, knowledgeable of the offerings & so genuinely friendly. Portion sizes are generous & the dining area is clean and very nicely decorated. In town with my son last week and he was wanting pasta so he found Bruno's. When we pulled up he was hesitant because it was attached to a convenience store. I said it's not part of the convenience store let's give it a try. He got the chicken parmesan and said it was really good. He mentioned it could have used just a little more noodles and sauce to match the size of the chicken breast but he loved all the flavors. I got the lasagna and it was very good even the right amount for me. The bread was less desirable but that's a side. Service was friendly but very slow. Overall it was a great dinner and proved to my son you can't judge a restaurant by its location. read more

We didn't let the fact that Bruno's is attached to a gas station affect our decision to check it out. The wonderful cashier/waitress immediately made up for that fact. She was very friendly and was still smiling when the place got overrun with hungry customers. The atmosphere definitely doesn't scream 'Italian', but the food was good enough. I ordered cheese pizza and my boyfriend and daughter ordered pasta dishes. I would go when it isn't so busy because the food takes a while to come out. We have been eating pizza here since going to college at SUU over 20 years ago when it was Bruno in the shop making pizza. We'd get it weekly then (we totally miss the chicken wings they had back then) and now that we live in Salt Lake we come here EVERY time we drive south. We get pizza everywhere we travel, even in Italy we'd get pizza at every restaurant. This is our favorite pizza ever (comparable to Italy) and now our kids love it, too. Our first and definitely not our last visit! I ordered spaghetti and meatballs that included a salad and garlic bread while my husband ordered a large pizza. Everything was delicious. Husband is very fussy about his pizzas and after we got home and he finished his leftover pizza he wondered if they did DoorDash to our home 50 miles away! This place used to be really good. The food is still okay, but when we arrived at 8:45 while traveling from Northern Utah to Southern Utah. They close at 9:00 pm so there was still time to grab some food. Our bill for a family of 6 was just under $100. Which is fine, but we were asked to eat outside because they had already swept the floors. Okay, no big deal, except for the wind storm that was blowing our plates and food out of our hands. We had to go back inside to ask for more plates because the original plates were blown out of our hands. Our large pizza blew out of my hands and landed upside down in the parking lot. We could see the staff watching this mess unfold. They were more concerned to clock out than they were to serve their customers. We will not be going back. read more

I love this place, although it's pricey. It's the only place in town where you can get a cauliflower crust pizza, as well as delicious pastas and breads. I like the supreme pizza best! Can't wait to repeat my favorite order. read more

The food is average for the price and after ordering both times I waited around 30 minutes for my food even though it wasn't busy. We stopped on our way home to SLC for a quick bite to eat. We decided to take a chance on a Italian restaurant hooked to a gas station over the chain restaurants. We went in with low expectations and left very pleasantly surprised. The place is clean, the waitress was very nice and it was cute. We had Alfredo with 1/2 an order of chicken. The chicken was delish with some browning on it. There was allot of chicken however I was made I hadn't gotten a full order since it was so good. The chicken park was also tasty and so was the tiramisu. Multiple locals passed through which was a good sign. My husband committed that it was one of our best meals on our vacay. We spent a week in Vegas and ate at some expensive places. It will be one of frequent spots. A hidden gem for sure. read more

Food is definitely delicious! Service is good and the hosts are friendly. This place is attached to a gas station and it's an order first then have your food delivered to your table. We ordered a medium cheese pizza and it's so delicious that if I were not so full, I would have inhaled it all in seconds! We also tried the Spaghetti with Alfredo sauce and it came with a side salad and Garlic bread. The salad dressing was amazing and complemented the garlic bread just fine. It came out of the kitchen first and we ate part of it by the time time the pizza came out hot and amazing! Gas station Italian, who knew?? We showed up 45 minutes before close and were graciously welcomed in. Even though it's connected to a Chevron, it was enough set apart that it felt like a quick Italian eatery. Cute pictures on the walls and old-school order up calling. I had the lasagna and my husband had the chicken parmesan. Both were fabulous. We tried each other's plates and neither could decide which we liked best. The side salad had cucumbers, tomatoes, and carrots and the ranch was surprisingly tasty! We also ended up getting an extra order of garlic bread because it was so delicious! We make the drive from Salt Lake to St. George often and we'll be stopping at Bruno's again in the future! read more

When our food was brought out, the employee literally tossed our food on the table and left without saying anything. The young lady at the counter was very pleasant & helpful, not just to us.. but to everyone who came in. We didn't call ahead, so there was a short wait while our food was prepared. This is a hidden little gem in a Chevron gas station. I'm not going to lie.... the spumoni Ice cream sold me! It's hard to find, harder to find good spumoni. I've loved it since I was a child. There is a nice menu with a variety that isn't overwhelming but gives you choices. They make your meal when you order. The Italian sauces are good. The rose is my favorite. I order the ravioli with rose sauce. It's super clean! It is just a surprise it's a sit down in a gas station that is good! read more

I was excited to try this place out due to all of the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, my chicken parm tasted freezer burned and the garlic bread is just pizza dough with some garlic on it. I'm not a picky person at all, but the food here is gross. It also took FOREVER to come out and it was cold. I don't know if it is because my friend and I are not regulars or what but the service we got was beyond horrible! The lady at the counter wouldn't even look us in the eyes while we were ordering and didn't even say hello or thank you or anything. it was the basic "what do you want?" kind of ordeal. we read the reviews on yelp and were so excited to try it out until we got there. we gave her the benefit of the doubt and left it at that. the salads that we got were okay as well. not the best but it was okay. we both didn't finish our salads but we ordered some garlic bread and that was delicious. all in all, we might try this place again because she may have had a bad day, but it wouldn't be my first place of choice. read more

An Italian "restaurant" inside a gas station... really? REALLY! My parents stumbled upon this place years ago during one of their many road trips between Southern California and Denver. While tagging along on a trip, my parents made sure we were passing through Cedar City during lunch time because they wanted to stop and eat at Bruno's! I had no idea what they were talking about, but who cares. Then I saw it was located inside of a gas station/convenience mart. HUH? So, you order at the counter off of their menu with loads of yummy looking Italian dishes! Pasta, sandwiches, salads and even dessert! Have a seat at one of the tables and they bring it out to you. Nice! My parents love their regular meatball sandwich and I ordered the eggplant parmesean sammie. Each sandwich option comes with chips and cole slaw (or a pickle if you hate cole slaw like I do). My mom says the cole slaw is delish and that I would like it... I still stuck with my pickle spear. Super yummy sandwich, just as good (if not better) than some sit down fancier restaurants I've tried! Regulars were inside sitting having their pasta and salads, I took a mental note that if I drive through this town again, I will also be stopping and trying some of the other options! Bruno's is a fun little stop I make when I'm driving through Cedar City. It's inside of a gas station so for those who are faint of heart or skeptical, this might be a bit off-putting. But, it does look tidy and neat and has sweet little Italian touches here and there so it's not as uninviting as you might think. They have daily specials and the prices are pretty reasonable. It also looks like more of a local's place. You can usually find a few couples there on dates and maybe a mother and child sharing a plate of spaghetti. The first time I came to Bruno's I ordered an Italian sandwich which was around 6 inches but what it lacked in size it made up for in flavor. Maybe it was the dressing or maybe it was the taste of freshly baked bread with the crisp lettuce that sold me. Not sure. But I've also become fond of their shrimp alfredo special for $10 that includes a salad, garlic bread, and a drink which I think is a steal. Downsides are that they are not very quick and they usually have a rotating staff of apathetic teenagers. read more

Currently run by the original Bruno, there has been many types of restaurants in this location for over ten years. The service was friendly, the food was passable Italian food by Cedar City standards. It is the only Italian restaurant in Cedar. The lasagna was not bad, a little light on the filling and sauce for my taste. The chicken parm sandwich was good but lacked zing. Italian food shouldn't be bland. Have been waiting to try this place out for awhile but the 6 month remodel seemed to never end, anyways got a chance to drop by for lunch the other day. Got the chicken-parm for lunch and it was pretty sad, crushed bun, dry chicken and a lackluster sauce all combined in a pretty small portion.
