This was one of the first places we stopped in when we arrived in Cedar City. We wanted a quick bite, so we ordered some iced coffees and the Deli Turkey Sandwich, one on wheat and the other on sourdough. The iced coffee was good. It had a good ratio of coffee to milk and tasted good. There was no bitterness. My deli turkey on wheat was pretty good. They did go heavy on the mayo, which I did not like much. You may want to request light on the mayo. The turkey was fresh and flavorful. In fact, all the ingredients were clean and fresh. I like that they bake their own bread, too. The service was a little stoic at first, but then it became a little more warm after a brief conversation. They offer inside and outside seating. Good sandwiches and coffee. read more

Our coffees were decent, but nothing to write home about. Service was efficient, but not anything outstanding. I contemplated picking up some spudnuts for my kids to try, but was told they have "A LOT of eggs", and we have an egg allergy, so skipped it. The spud nuts were probably the most appealing looking thing in the pastry case, so we stuck with the coffees. While prepping for my trip to Cedar, I found this place on yelp. It was exciting to see a breakfast place near where I was staying. The raving reviews made me think I hit the jackpot. During my one and only visit, I found the place to be okay. The coffee drinks and bakery items were average. The breakfast sandwich was dense and not as good as it looked. Super cute place to enjoy a sandwich. I've been here a few times and gotten the Sod buster vegetarian sandwich. It's pretty good and comes with a small bag of chips. It's about $8 iirc so I kind of wish for that price it would come with a drink but it doesn't. There is plenty of seating outside in the cute silos and plenty of parking. You can also drive thru. They are closed on Sundays. The service staff is nice and the menu has some good variety if you're there for breakfast. They also have clean restrooms if you are stopping for lunch on a road trip. read more

Been here a couple of times and never was able to try the donut. This go around I was able to finally try it and it definitely is a favorite of mine. When I get the opportunity I'll now grab a raspberry danish, a donut and hot chocolate which would be a great way to start or end a work week. Front register person was friendly, but seemed very busy managing all the tasks required of her; therefore, I didn't ask any questions I wanted to about the menu being a first time customer. Ordered a White Praline latte, straight black coffee, breakfast wrap, sodbuster sandwich. Surprisingly impressed with the latte, it was very tasteful for a coffee snob. I was so excited to try this place! I'd heard the donuts were to die for and it WAS!! The exterior is amazing with the cutest outdoor seating. The inside is clean with the most gorgeous pictures (that you can actually purchase)!! The sandwiches were all served on wheat bread sand were quickly devoured. I'd highly recommend the Italian sandwich panini - so yummy!! We caught Silver Silo on a Thursday so we were lucky to grab a burger - that was the star of the show! The food was mediocre, very Sisco-like. There is a picture on the website of food served on real plates with real silverware. Not so now. The amount of plastic on our tray was obscene. There were no plates and had to eat fork food out of a deep plastic container with the food sitting on paper. Price for value was poor. The price for what we had was way too much. We are used to spending that amount for breakfast but expect better quality and service. There is no service other than the person at the counter who seemed upset that we asked for ketchup. My husband and I drove out of our way to go to the Silver Shilo because we heard such great things about it. We got there around 730am and they were "out of" or "that item isn't done yet" to almost every pastry, donut, sweet roll, etc. I ended up ordering avocado on toast and the toast was toasted wheat bread (which is fine, but they didn't even ask) and it was burnt under the avocado. The avocado wasn't even smashed on the toast and was just cut into slices and it had way too much salt on it. Most of the avocado was brown and not eatable. The coffee was beyond disgusting and tasted extremely bitter, like it had been sitting there over night. We went into the store and when we got our food/drinks, we immediately got back in our car to continue our trip. If we would have dined it, I would have returned every item and asked for a refund. My husband had a piece of banana bread and it was dry and tasteless. The reviews are pretty good and the pictures are decent, but the visit was awful. We asked when the items are generally done baking and they said around 10am. For being a coffee and morning sweets and breakfast sandwiches, one would think they would have everything ready to go upon opening. Never again and I cannot recommend this business. read more

1st impression- Very inviting & cute establishment. Following that, the wait time in the drive thru line was excessive but would have been worth the wait if our order of two different highlighted pastries and two specialty beverages came out exceptional. Unfortunately that was not the case! Our server however was very polite and friendly! Silver Silo in Cedar City, Utah was an interesting find on the west side of town, sitting in a field. It was clean with friendly, patient staff. There is a good selection of sandwiches, soups, salads, breakfast items pastries, breads (mostly whole grain) and beverages. My wife and I shared a chicken cordon bleu sandwich and a cup of corn, potato soup. Both tasted great but ate dry. The soup was very thick (we ordered late in the day). We also ordered a couple of spudnuts. They were dark brown. There is a picturesque (literally) dining area and several cute silo picnic areas for out-door dining. read more

I absolutely love .. Silver Silo . I highly recommend their Blue Ribbon BLT . I add pickles to mine .Their Broccoli Soup is literally the most delightful and delicious soup i have ever tasted and it comes with a wonderful roll they will warm up for you . The Service is warm and welcoming. The restaurant and property is very beautiful . The only complaint i have is that i keep going back for their amazing Carrot Cake and I can't seem to catch it while they have it and it is a huge slice of Heaven in every bite . I think they are dog lovers there too because i get a side of Bacon for my dog every time i go through their Drive Thru Window and her tail wags all the way through the Drive Thru and they always hook her up . read more
