While I understand that every job has its challenging moments, those conversations are best kept out of earshot of guests, as they can detract from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Aside from that, our visit was enjoyable, and that's the one area I would recommend improving.

There was more rice than toppings, and the dish overall felt a bit dry. Everything else was pretty good. No complaints. Service was good. Overall a decent experience.

He remembers his regular customers and has fascinating stories from his time living in Asia. It's the kind of place where you feel like more than just another transaction. The store offers a large variety of liquors and beers, with something for just about every taste. There's also a fair selection of non-alcoholic beers--a thoughtful inclusion we really appreciate, though we'd love to see even more variety in that category as demand continues to grow. The wine selection isn't exotic, but it's clearly curated with the local customer in mind. You'll find quality bottles at fair prices--perfect for everyday sipping or easy gifting. Geneva Liquors is a great example of what a neighborhood liquor store should be: clean, welcoming, well-stocked, and run by someone who truly cares about the community. It's easily the best selection of liquor for miles, including some pretty pricey stuff. On my last visit, I salivated over a few bottles of scotch with three-digit price tags. It would be wasted on me, though. Better to let someone with a more-refined sense of taste buy it. Anyway, in addition to a wide variety of wine, beer, and spirits, there's a decent grocery selection, too. It won't rival Sentry, but given a choice between a huge grocery store with a decent liquor section and a great liquor store with a decent grocery section, I'll choose the second one eight days a week.

After a quick check-in with the cashier, you're free to sample and pour what you like. The taps offer a wide variety of options, including beer and wine, which was a pleasant surprise! There was live music playing during our visit, adding a really nice touch to the laid-back atmosphere. They also offer snacks for purchase (paid at the cashier). One suggestion: it would be nice to see more non-alcoholic options besides just soda--maybe a craft NA beer or mocktail for those not drinking (like myself). Overall, it was a quick but enjoyable stop. We'd return again. I also noticed they offer bingo some nights- that's always fun.
