He remembers his regular customers and has fascinating stories from his time living in Asia. It's the kind of place where you feel like more than just another transaction. The store offers a large variety of liquors and beers, with something for just about every taste. There's also a fair selection of non-alcoholic beers--a thoughtful inclusion we really appreciate, though we'd love to see even more variety in that category as demand continues to grow. The wine selection isn't exotic, but it's clearly curated with the local customer in mind. You'll find quality bottles at fair prices--perfect for everyday sipping or easy gifting. Geneva Liquors is a great example of what a neighborhood liquor store should be: clean, welcoming, well-stocked, and run by someone who truly cares about the community. They have all of the regular brands that you would expect, but they also have some rotating stock that comes through that is worth a look. Recently I have noticed a few offerings from Garrison Brothers as well as Widow Jane (no Black Opal yet, lol). A few of the guys that I work and ice fish with are big bourbon and whiskey snobs, so this is where I go to stock up when they are in town. The folks at the front counter are always nice and are a good source of recommendations if you are looking for something special.

Anyway, in addition to a wide variety of wine, beer, and spirits, there's a decent grocery selection, too. It won't rival Sentry, but given a choice between a huge grocery store with a decent liquor section and a great liquor store with a decent grocery section, I'll choose the second one eight days a week.
