We had some bad weather and he stated that they needed until Wednesday to complete the job. I paid him $40 for diagnostics and then $150 for the tow. Then sent $550 for parts. I also got a rental for 5 days through budget rent a car which cost me 500$ Wednesday came and it wasn't done. He said it would be done Thursday. I got the rental another day. Another $68 and $15 extension fee. Friday came and he said it's still not done. So after a week I have paid over 1k and it's not done. He promised it would be done the following Tuesday by 8pm. I returned rental that morning. At 9pm when he didn't show up he texted that he was done but there was still an oil leak. WHAT!!!!! He said he had parts and needed until Monday. Monday morning I asked him if it was going to be completed as promised and he said no. He needed til Wednesday. So 13 days he has had my car and it's in the same condition. I just had enough and sent a tow truck to their shop to get my car. When tow truck arrived it was at someone's house. They told me it was a mechanic shop. It's a random house on a sketchy neighborhood and my car sitting in front untouched with snow covering it still. He misled me as he had a shop. He just paid google bc he was the first to pop up. I trusted him and he lied several times. I am now at a mechanic shop hats legit and have had to get ANOTHER rental car for the week. They had my car until the end of July, 2021, and STILL had not found the cause. Luckily, I could borrow my father's car when I needed to. But can you imagine if this were my only transportation?!? How could they expect me to go close to 4 months without my car? Finally, I went to pick it up and took it somewhere else. The other repair shop found the issue in 4 hours, tops. I had to return to Bob Sumerel's because the brand new battery they sold me had gone dead, but it was still under warranty. When I told him that the other business found the problem within a few hours, all he said was "hmm". I never got an apology for how long they had my car.
