My vehicle had significant installation oversights involving critical components and purchased hardware that were simply not installed. These were not cosmetic issues-they were essential components that were included with the purchased kit and should have been installed as part of the work I paid for. Since February, what concerns me most is that even after three follow-up inspections, alignment work, and additional adjustments that may have successfully disguised the root cause, the missing components STILL were not identified. Multiple opportunities existed to discover and correct the problem, yet the installation deficiencies remained. In my opinion, this demonstrates a serious breakdown in QA, inspection procedures, and workmanship. In July, when I brought these issues to the attention of current leadership, the response focused on a limited partial refund rather than meaningfully addressing the broader concerns surrounding the incomplete installation and repeated failure to identify it. That response left me with little confidence that accountability and customer safety are being treated with the seriousness they deserve. If you choose to do business here, I strongly recommend confirming that every purchased part has actually been installed, verifying all manufacturer p/n before approving the installation, and thoroughly inspecting the completed work before accepting delivery. We had some bad weather and he stated that they needed until Wednesday to complete the job. I paid him $40 for diagnostics and then $150 for the tow. Then sent $550 for parts. I also got a rental for 5 days through budget rent a car which cost me 500$ Wednesday came and it wasn't done. He said it would be done Thursday. I got the rental another day. Another $68 and $15 extension fee. Friday came and he said it's still not done. So after a week I have paid over 1k and it's not done. He promised it would be done the following Tuesday by 8pm. I returned rental that morning. At 9pm when he didn't show up he texted that he was done but there was still an oil leak. WHAT!!!!! He said he had parts and needed until Monday. Monday morning I asked him if it was going to be completed as promised and he said no. He needed til Wednesday. So 13 days he has had my car and it's in the same condition. I just had enough and sent a tow truck to their shop to get my car. When tow truck arrived it was at someone's house. They told me it was a mechanic shop. It's a random house on a sketchy neighborhood and my car sitting in front untouched with snow covering it still. He misled me as he had a shop. He just paid google bc he was the first to pop up. The brake caliper failed a day later and had to be towed back. Expectedly I was angry, flukes happen and I get it but the failure happened on a part that is responsible to my safety. Even though I lost my temper at Dalton, he didn't yell back rather kept his composure and said he would prioritize my issue. Later that day Ricky the manager from Foreign Exchange gave me a call back apologized and accepted responsibility for the parts failure at no charge to me. THIS!!! Is what I look for in a mechanic! Everyone makes mistakes but not everyone stands behind their work and makes sure that you have a good customer experience getting things right. I will continue to do business with Foreign Exchange because they prioritize professionalism, believe in the quality of their work and when things go awry they warranty their work instead of putting the onus back on you.
