I called and emailed various vendors without any results. Until on the Wed before my engagement pics, Veronica gave me a call and I was saved! She agreed to see me at 8:30 am on a Sunday (which she normally does not do). When I came in for my session, I came in armed with a few make up looks to give her an idea of what I wanted and discussed it briefly (she actually requested pictures so that she has a better idea of what look you want). From there she immediately went to work. Veronica was extremely friendly and super professional about her makeup and the products she uses on her brides. I noticed she used some really, really good stuff (MAC, Makeup Forever, Smashbox, etc). Anyway, after about an hr or so she showed me her work or art... man! I was thrilled! She really made me look so glamorous! LOVED her work and what she did to my eyes! I so recommend her for any engagement session. Even in the heat, my makeup looked flawless, I even laid out in the pool and my face didn't melt! Needless to say I will be using her services for my wedding! Initially, when I reached to Jazmine to do my sister's makeup for her upcoming wedding, she was great. Her responsiveness was extremely quick, she was detail-oriented, and reasonably priced. So, imagine my surprise when I found out that Jazmine told my sister she double/overbooked the weekend of her wedding (we booked her for two days). Jazmine proceeded to tell my sister that she could come later and do her makeup at 3PM; keeping in mind, the wedding starts at 5PM (not including the time that it would take to arrive at the venue and do the first look.) When my sister informed Jazmine that those times would not work and requested a refund, Jazmine quite literally ghosted her and since has not returned the money. It has been a complete 180 from the Jazmine that I experienced in the beginning; it almost feels as if we had been lured into a scam. And to top it off, coming here to see that the most recent review of Jazmine says that she missed doing makeup for a bride to attend a dentist appointment, that was the same excuse she gave my sister this week when my sister was trying to get a hold of her. So, be weary, Jazmine is 100% more likely to prioritize going to and being on time for the dentist than showing up to do your makeup.

The artist saw the uneasiness on our faces and assured us that both she and the other young lady were good as well and that we could look at their work on IG but she didn't give us their names. Anyway, the spot is a cute quaint shop. There was a hairstylist straightening someone's hair which had my throat itching from the smell of burnt hair. Our makeup came out pretty. It appears that these are freelance artist that use their own products. One of my friends face was done with MAC products but mine was done with AJ Crimson . The one that had the MAC makeup lasted longer because the AJ Crimson is very oily to me. I've had it applied by two other MUAs in the past and the same thing happens, greasy. I did enjoy the choice of lip color and end up purchasing a tube. I think it's called Show Time. Nice salon but I prefer to have the artist that I selected at the time of booking actually be the one that does my face.

If you are searching, stop. You have found your woman. First, she specializes in make-up but she did my hair as well. Besides being incredibly talented, she actually did her own research before my trial and looked up potential styles that would look good with my features. We decided on a Veronica Lake style for my hair, which I would have never picked myself but was beyond perfect. She actually cared enough to put time and effort in prior to my trial. Other studios didn't even look at the Pintrist shots I sent! I booked her all-day package. Worth every penny. You absolutely can not put a price on looking your best at your wedding day. She has a few other stylists she works with (we booked 26 total services the day of the wedding) and one thing that is really amazing is that you are getting master stylists for the whole deal, not just one lead and one assistant. TOP FREAKING NOTCH TEAM!!!! You actually know who you are getting when you book with an individual rather than a big studio. I learned that lesson the hard way.
