This ice cream shop is amazing. We went the 2nd day they opened and have been back at least 3 more times to try their additional flavors. We were pleasantly surprised by the creaminess and texture of the ice cream and how fresh it came out. The cookie dough, red velvet, birthday cake, and oreo flavors are super delicious. The location is on the side of Sardis so parking is easy to find and they even have a place to sit where you can enjoy your ice cream. read more

Very disappointed I have to say. This location is unorganized and obviously lacking management. I ordered a milkshake and two pints. After waiting 20 mins we were informed they were out of milk! They didn't just run out , they were out all day. So why would they let me order a milkshake? Then it takes 20 mins to inform me. They offered to replace it with a pint which i agreed. But not my other ice cream is melting. It takes another 20mins to get the replacement pint! By the time i got home my first two pints turned into milkshakes because they melted!! Bruster's always has pistachio ice cream that my wife enjoys so much... probably the only place since Friendly's shut down in Maryland, and Northern Virginia. I enjoy their banana split , and am glad the one in Bowie is next door to a Panera bread for some coffee. I enjoy coffee with my dessert! read more

I just went to Brusters for ice cream and go there fairly often as the ice cream is great. But, I purchased a pistachio ice cream cone on a sugar cone and my sister-in-law got a mango sorbet in a small cup and we were charged $12 and change. I have been there many times, but this price for two small orders was ridiculous. I won't be getting ice cream there at those prices. read more

Many friends had told me how good their homemade ice cream was. I tried it for the first time on Friday. I will definitely go back. In fact, I wanted to go back yesterday but it was snowing. The guy who we initially spoke to started to get an attitude when I told him what items were missing. My family and I wanted ice cream last night and finally decided to give this local gem a try. We were very pleased with our visit. We had hot fudge sundaes and my daughter had ice cream with sprinkles. The ice cream was smooth, creamy, and fresh. The toppings were plentiful and fresh. The staff was working hard and they listened carefully to our order. Outdoor seating is available and one of the staff members was cleaning the area thoroughly. We will be back! Not sure what everyone is complaining about. The people working here are mostly teenagers and they are in the beginning phases of this new job, give them a break! It's not easy. I LOVE this place! I've been back more times than I care to admit and it's always so good! I don't know what these other reviews are talking about. Sometimes I have to wait a few minutes to get my ice cream but it's so good that when I get it I don't even remember the less than 5 minute wait! I went here and got a Oreo milkshake. It tasted like nothing but milk, no flavor. I went back to tell them that it was nasty and the boy who worked there told me " well it's a milkshake" instead of asking me did I want it done over. His attitude was horrible. Visited Bruster's Ice Cream in Bowie Town Center for the first time yesterday (7/20/20) afternoon (one of the hottest days of the year). My husband and I were the only customers there. As we were looking over the menu items, an older Caucasian man came to one of the windows and asked if we wanted to order something. My husband said we were still looking. Apparently he didn't hear our response the first time (sometimes it's hard to hear people while wearing masks) but after my husband repeated that we were still looking, he rudely slammed the window shut and left. My intent was to support a locally owned business, to my dismay I was very disappointed with the service. I placed two orders @ 8:11 Pm and did get my orders until 8:40 pm. All I ordered where 1 waffle cone and 2 regular cups. When I asked the cashier why did my order take so long she went on to tell me it's just one person scooping the ice cream. I don't typically like to leave bad reviews but this is the second time I have been here and the second time I have had bad service. The first time I was there a month ago I had bad service and they knew it so they gave me a couple coupons for a free small I cream. Well today I went there and used the coupons and ordered a couple other things, but nothing complicated, just a couple medium ice creams in a cup. Well somehow I got skipped and forgotten about while everyone after me got their orders. After I realized what was happening I went up and asked if they forgot about me and while they took car of it at that time, I ended up waiting a half hour for 4 cups of ice cream. 2 for 2 negative experiences, I think I'll go to Annapolis or Severna Park from now on. read more

I haven't even visited this location yet, and I know from one phone call I will be a regular. I called to ask a question and the young gentleman (Ahman) answered the phone and provided me with extraordinary customer service. He greatly exceeded my expectations with his professionalism and politeness. The manager, Jose returned my call in a timely manner. He was both personable and professional.
