After trying to get ideas on their website, Alexis reached out to me directly and sent me sample pictures of the tower design. She was so friendly and extremely helpful. She definitely left my mind at ease with her warm personality. Not only was the donut tower GORGEOUS but it was also delicious. The flavors I chose were the strawberry crunch, banana pudding, fruity pebbles and the Oreo. These were all delicious! All my guest and I were very impressed with everything. I am so thankful to Alexis and her team! I will recommend this place to everyone I know for every occasion, even just a sweet tooth. And ofcourse I will be going back :)

I placed my order over the phone, followed up through email, and the entire process was pretty easy. I will admit I was a little nervous there was a slight delay in email response time. But the cake was ready at the agreed upon time and turned out great, and overall, I had no complaints. I did think it was a little expensive, but honestly, what isn't these days? I would definitely consider ordering from them again for another special occasion.

I preordered and paid for a…read morespecific cookie, as I normally do, and when I went in to pick it up, I was told by a young employee, "Oh, I just sold it, sorry." I was completely confused. How do you sell a cookie that has already been purchased by a customer? I had already paid for it and was there specifically to pick up my order. She then asked if she could offer me another cookie. No. If I wanted another cookie, I would have ordered another one. I ordered a specific cookie for a reason. She then offered me a refund, which I agreed to. At that point, William, a shift lead, came over and told me they could not process my refund and that I would have to wait for a manager. When I asked for the manager, I was told "they don't have one." So let me understand this: Crumbl took my money, sold the product I had already purchased to someone else, and then could not refund me because there was apparently no manager available. William explained that although he was a shift lead, he did not have the ability to authorize the refund, and apparently only certain leads or a manager can do so. He gave me the manager's email and told me I could reach out to get my money back. This is some of the poorest customer service I have ever experienced. Mistakes happen, but what is unacceptable is having no ability to resolve the mistake for the customer who was directly affected by it. I should not have to chase down a manager by email to get a refund for a product that I already paid for and never received. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and expect my refund to be processed immediately. Customers should not be left paying for products that employees accidentally sell to someone else, nor should they be expected to figure out how to get their money back afterward. Crumbl needs to do better. This should not be allowed to happen.

I am a fan of the Titan Hospitality Group, which owns Blackwall Hitch, Smashing Grapes, Farmhouse…read moreand the Lodge. I've dined at all three and never have had horrible service nor an overall experience. At the Farmhouse, we tried the crab deviled eggs, ribeye, and rockfish. The crab deviled eggs were good -- standard; nothing memorable, but good. I would get it again. The ribeye, paired with string beans and a cucumber salad (swapped out the potatoes), was really good! The ribeye, cooked medium, was J U I C Y...see the pic for yourself. Moist, right texture and seasoned well. The rockfish was good. My only gripe with this dish is that the description said rice "pilaf" would accompany the dish. I've never been to culinary school, but I am somewhat of a "foodie." Rice pilaf is typically well-seasoned in a flavored broth. This rice? Straight up white rice. Total fail. Trying to watch my waist line is another thing, so I didn't eat this PLAIN, white rice. However, the lima bean succotash with the street butter corn were great! Lastly, two more notes -- I love "farm to table" restaurants. If you follow me, you know I'm into all things "relatively" healthy; so, kudos to Titan Hospitality Group wanting to be the healthy change we need! Secondly, our server, Jada...she was great. The name, "Jada," is special to me in more ways than one, so maybe I'm biased. But, honestly, Jada was great. I will be back!

Continuing my America 250 series, representing a 1940's established business is Dairy Queen. They…read morestarted in Illinois in 1940, and I remember loving the chicken tenders when I was a kid living in Texas in the 90's. Although my tastes have changed in the past 30 years from simply chicken tenders, pizza, etc. of what I liked then greatly expanding to much more, I still like the DQ chicken tender basket. Odenton DQ is the closest to my home and have been a few times. When I go, the catalyst is either a deal, using reward program points, and/or not letting points expire. While I'm not going as far as 5-stars like I gave Raising Cane's in Gambrills & Columbia. Raising Cane's chicken tenders are my favorite, but Dairy Queen is still solid. Raising Cane's doesn't give you gravy though, which DQ does. I like dipping the fries as well as the chicken tenders in the gravy. When I was a kid, I used to try to get gravy to dip my fries in at other places that had gravy, but nowadays really only Dairy Queen is the only place I can think of that I do that as the chicken tender basket comes with gravy by default. In addition to 4 or 6 chicken tenders & fries, the basket also comes with Texas Toast, which is good, but I'll admit I love the Raising Cane's Texas Toast more. When people think of Dairy Queen, the first thing that comes to mind is not the chicken strip basket like me, but they think of the various ice cream products such as the Blizzard. Those Blizzards and other various ice cream products are great too. My girlfriend & I have split a couple of Blizzards. One time I was by myself, got the chicken strip basket and a small Blizzard. I felt bloated after the "small" Blizzard, but it was delicious. I should've gotten the kid size Blizzard, but it was only an 80 cent price differential. I got their burger a couple of times, and it's surprisingly good and big too, almost the size of a hubcap, which foreshadows a future Yelp review in Arkansas on my state series I'll be doing after the 20th century businesses. One of the times, I had a Blizzard or split with my girlfriend in addition to this big burger, and I felt bloated, but it was worth it. Staff at Odenton DQ is pretty efficient and generally cordial, although one time, I felt they were kind of rude. Maybe an off day, but on average they've been good. Seating is limited inside, but there are maybe 4 booths. There are more outside seating both in the shade & sun. In summary, great food including ice cream.
