Took my grandson to this place yesterday. It will be the last time we go. They were severely understaffed. The two teenagers working have no idea on how to deal with customers. After taking care of the customer in front of us neither worker acknowledged us. One went and worked the drive-thru. The other opened a second window while we stood at the first open window. All the customers behind us went to the second window and were helped although we were there before them. I had to call out to the two workers before either looked at us. We walked away without buying anything. I later called the manager and was told they are trained to handle the drive-thru first. The manager offered a freebie to make up for this which I refused. It is not often when something goes wrong dealing with a restaurant or food service that it allows you to meet an employee who truly cares about making things right and takes pride in his job and craft. My wife and I had an unfortunate incident regarding "lactose free" ice cream (You know who this is Kyle) and Bruster's. Through this experience we had a chance to meet Kyle, and he turned a bad experience into a funny family story that we will tell for years to come as we eat our favorite Bruster's Ice Cream. We were in the area and had an ice cream craving so we had to stop by Brusters. This location has a drive thru and a walk up window, but there is some outdoor seating around the back. We opted for the drive thru. They have several menus around with their flavors listed, but you can also check out their website for the current list. They have a wide variety of flavors and all of the essentials: sundaes, cones, cups, shakes, etc. I went with a regular sundae with hot fudge and picked the chocolate raspberry truffle flavor with it. My partner got a small waffle cone, which comes with two scoops, and got white chocolate Oreo for both. The small cone was HUGE. The sundae was a large portion too. Might have to go for a kids size next time! The ice cream was very good. I'd definitely want to come back and try more flavors. Service was friendly and for the price point ($6-7 dollars for each item) I felt you definitely get your moneys worth. I would recommend checking this place out! read more

WORST ICE CREAM EVER! My wife and I went here after a good outing at Pop Stroke mini-golf (Glendale, AZ). It was a warm day so we craved some ice cream. We sampled Dragon Fruit sorbet. Too sugary. I got a waffle cone with Coffee Caramel Swirl and Strawberry Shortcake. My wife got a waffle cone with Coffee Caramel Swirl and Strawberry Kiwi Ice. My wife said the SK Ice was pure sugar. In todays economy, the dollar doesn't go as far as it used to. So when ordering items at a drive through, they need to be accurate so the customer feels like they got what they paid for. My in-laws apparently are regulars to this establishment. It's conveniently located right off Bell in a relatively central location here on the westside. Plenty of ample parking that involved people tailgating but instead of beer and brats, it was ice cream sundaes and waffle cones. Hooray! There are a couple of windows that you can walk up to and place your order OR there's also a drive-thru. We opted to relax outside for a bit and enjoy our treat. Evidently, their claim to fame is that their ice cream is homemade right at this very location. I have no idea how true that, but I'd like to believe that afterhours, someone is churning real cream and making this stuff with love. I'm going to believe that. I went with the caramel macchiato and two full scoops in a waffle cone. Let me tell you, this was good. In fact, 'good' doesn't quite seem to be adequate enough to describe the flavor and creamy-ness of this ice cream. It was chock full of chocolate, crushed up chocolate covered espresso beans and of course, caramel all intertwined into some very delicious, very creamy, very amazing chocolate ice cream. Now I know what you're thinking. You've been to one ice cream joint, you've been to them all. No. That is false. Do me a favor. Come here. Support this place. Eat your dinner. Pile yourself and your loved ones into the family station wagon and go eat this ice cream. Order whatever you want. Order something gigantic. I don't see how anyone could possibly be unhappy with this ice cream or their service. They were friendly. They were fast. They were efficient. They were helpful. They answered questions. And after hours while you're sleeping, all of the employees and the little magical gnomes come out and make this ice cream as fresh and as tasty as could be. I don't know if that last part is true, but at this point - it doesn't matter. Seriously. Went right before close. I ordered a banana split and two scoops of strawberry sorbet and two scoops of vanilla. Let's start with the banana split... The worker was cleaning the trash and sweeping, no problem with that keep the place clean? But she went from doing that to taking my order then proceeding to dig in the ice cream locker and make my order with the same gloves you were just sweeping and handling dirt and trash with... Then when I asked for a new set of gloves and new split to be made she had an attitude and upon completion of the SECOND order I said thank you to which she said nothing, wasn't tripping.... now let's go to my second order, idk what i received but i should've took a picture but my complete and utter frustration with the first mishap made me walk away and proceed to drive home angry and upset trying to make it safely to my house to write this detailed review. I've long been a customer a Brusters and I expect better from them. Besides the bs, the ice cream that I didn't order but was given wasn't bad but after this first situation i'd have appreciated some attention to detail, professionalism and care for how your fellow coworkers and you are viewed from a loyal customers standpoint as well as some consideration for ur customers health. Terrific ice cream! Ordered pickup from here today for a little treat for my husband and I. They have a little window just for pickup orders which I learned today haha. My husband got a regular cup with salted caramel, Oreo, and chocolate chip cookie dough, topped with brownie bites. I got a small with dark chocolate graham and chocolate chip cookie dough, topped with Reese's, pb, and hot fudge. Luckily they packed the hot fudge separately, that was a concern of mine haha.
