There are misters, but when it's 115 degrees out they don't do enough. The seating was all shaded and may be better suited for when it's not quite as hot out. Arguably one of the best ice cream joints I've been to in a while. I was shocked by how busy it was for a Tuesday night, however, after trying the ice cream I quickly understood why it was so busy. The line was a bit long, but the staff worked fast to ensure that we were not waiting for too long. Additionally, the number of selections they have on the menu is incredible. We love the Waffle Bowl Flight which is 4 flavors in a waffle bowl. We had Death by Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut Butter with Buckeyes, Pistachio, and Chocolate. We agreed their classic plain Chocolate was the best out of those, it was the richest. Another time we got the bowl with Double Fudge Brownie, Double Chocolate Chunk, Strawberry, and Chocolate. And still their classic Chocolate was the better out of the bunch. On another visit I walked my dog here a couple of miles and they provided water and a Doggy Sundae for her, this was half a scoop of Vanilla ice cream with a Milkbone biscuit on top. Very sweet, and at no extra cost. For myself, I had Graham Central Station, and White Turtle. White Turtle tasted like melted whip cream with a caramel swirl, wasn't so hot about that one but Graham Central Station made up for it! That's so far my favorite flavor here. Solid! I had seen this place pop up, and kept telling myself that I would check it out. Not sure why I hadn't? Ice cream IS my favorite food! Well, after a dinner down the street, I decided to stop with my mom to get some ice cream. We went through the drive thru and placed our order. Turtle Sundae- This thing was delicious! They give you about 2 large scoops of vanilla ice cream, and top that with fudge, caramel, roasted/salted pecans, whipped cream and a cherry! Bomb! Their vanilla base was very rich, smooth and creamy. Damn fine ice cream! There was a decent amount of hot fudge and caramel. The only thing I was a little disappointed in were the amount of pecans. There were only a handful of them in the sundae. They were salty, crunchy and tasted great, just wish there were more, especially for the price of the sundae. Brownie Fudge Sundae- Just like it sounds. Brownie base, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry. This sundae looked bigger than mine. I had a few bites of my mom's and it tasted pretty good. The brownie itself wasn't my favorite though. It broke off and crumbled way too much instead of being a gooey/chewy brownie. Tasted good, but this sundae with a firmer/denser brownie would be way better. Guy at the counter was friendly and the drive through option is nice! The ice cream was definitely premium ice cream and tasted so. Tad skimp on the nuts, the crumbly brownie, and the premium price tag keep this from getting a perfect 5 stars. Will I return though? My first instinct was to go to Dairy Queen or Baskin Robbins but I feel this place is SO MUCH better. First off, they are dog friendly so that's always a win for me. Their patio is wrapped around so there was plenty of bench seating along the sides and even seating options available in the back. Secondly, there are so many flavors! I couldn't even make up my mind because I wanted them all. Good thing, because they offer a waffle bowl flight good for 4 scoops of ice cream in their homemade waffle bowl. Is the ice cream made on site? They get the base shipped to them and then they mix in the flavorings. 3. Is the banana ice cream made with real bananas? Yes! I can attest to that b/c I tried it. 4. Are their blasts (ice cream mixed with candy) essentially like DQ Blizzards? Yes 5. What is used in the vegan for the base instead of dairy? Coconut milk 6. What is used in the sugar free for the sweetener? Aspartame 7. What other dairy-free options do you have? Italian Ices & sorbets As a first-timer, I love details about places. I sampled the Banana Ice Cream and the Chocolate Peanut Butter with Buckeyes (which are chocolate covered peanut butter candies). Banana was heavenly. Choc PB was richer & more complex with that combo of flavors. The Vegan Strawberry Banana tasted fruity but just not as creamy b/c of coconut milk base. I stuck with one of my die-hard faves, Mint Chocolate Chip, one scoop in a cup. This flavor is refreshing & why I love it. Their dark chocolate chip ratio to ice cream was off the hook! So much chocolate = happy camper. While this is not in my area of town, I'm excited to have stopped in & hope to return on a Thursday, when it's BYOB: bring your own banana for 1/2 off a banana split. Clever promotion! First time trying this place out and I'm glad I did. They are located right on the corner so it's easy to get to. No issues when it comes to parking and they also have a drive through if you're not looking to sit. No inside seating so prepare to be outside enjoying your delicious treats. Most of the seating is towards the back of the establishment. There are a ton of options so if it's your first time take your time as there's a lot to chose from. The staff was super patient as my daughter went back and forth on what she wanted to try and asked for their opinions. There was a fella named Landon working there. I had just gotten done working my 12 hour shift at the bank. What a day that was. Earlier that morning my 3 year old crapped his pants and woke me up at 3am. I got to the bank at 5, worked till 4 pm, then my wife called me saying she was sick and the kids wanted ice cream. We love Brusters! We used to live closeby and would visit often, unfortunately we moved and don't get to go as much but it's still a great treat when we're in the "old neighborhood". Brusters has a great loyalty program that sends frequent coupons. The workers are always friendly and pleasant and best of all the ice cream is delicious. I personally LOVE the chocolate peanut butter sundae and I love that they allow you to choose any flavor ice cream for your sundae unlike other places. Great customer service! Having a sister in the restaurant business it's hard to find good customer service. And this place definitely does a great job! Last night my kids and I headed over after dinner to grab some ice cream. After ordering, I noticed 6 people behind us were getting their order before us. So I went to a different window where they were handing out the orders and explained our situation to a worker. She apologized and realized that the cashier who took our order who accidentally thrown our receipt away.
