My husband and I stopped here in the afternoon to cool down with some ice cream. We both ordered dairy free ice cream. I got the dairy free mint chocolate chip. It was decent, but was lacking in the mint flavor and rather bland tasting. The service was quick and friendly. Please note they only have outdoor seating or a drive through. There are misters, but when it's 115 degrees out they don't do enough. The seating was all shaded and may be better suited for when it's not quite as hot out. 36 minute wait in the drive thru! We had 30 minutes to spend and thought we'd get some ice cream. We spent 36 minutes in their zig zag drive thru unable to escape. Cars were driving over the curb to leave, my car is in too low for that. By the time I got to the intercom (25 minutes at this point) I asked if they could park the cars in front of me so I can leave for my appointment and was told they could not. I asked for the manager's name and the employee had to find it out, he apparently didn't know his manager is Brad? Not a bad ice cream place plenty of options won't lie was hoping they would have black raspberry but no luck they did have a yummy double fudge brownie one. Prices a bit much 4 and change for a small I would say serving size is typical. I think I will still come back maybe with my kids next time see how they like it. I scream for Bruster's ice cream!!! Listen people. I am not an ice cream person. Never been my thing. Alas my pregnancy kind of gave me a sweet tooth and now and then a craving for ice cream. I came here for a simple vanilla ice cream with some strawberries mixed in and oh boy did it hit the spot!! Creamy, simple, delicious... had to come back in the fall for their seasonal apple flavors. I got the apple dumpling and wow oh wow I have been waiting a whole year for that sucker to come back on the menu because YUM!!! Since my first couple visits to Brusters I had my baby and all cravings went away.....EXCEPT for Bruster's. I can't. Get. Enough!!! I've had more ice cream the past year than I think I have had my whole life. They're just that good- I promise! My favorite part about Bruster's is all the flavors I've tried are SO GOOD that every time I go back I have to try a new flavor. It's not one of those "Well I know I like this flavor so I'm going to play it safe and just keep getting this one." It's more of a "Okay if this flavor is good, I must try this other flavor!!!" And I keep getting impressed over and over. I think what really made me a stan was the last 3 times I went. Each of the last trips I thought "THAT was the best Bruster's I've had!" A couple more quick points to make: Speaking of points, sign up for their rewards!!! They add up quick and have great deals! Staff is always so quick! Don't pass by if the line is long because it's never a long wait. Staff is SUPER friendly as well. They're always so happy and seem genuinely kind and happy to help. Lastly- the waffle cones are SO good but if you're already getting an ice cream that's super super sweet, you probably don't need one! The ice cream is good on its own! Ps!!!!! I realized last time that the ice cream does really well in the heat! The last two times I came we ate the ice cream in our cars and they weren't dripping all over the place so that's a plus! Yum! Lots of options here even for vegan and non-dairy customers. They have walk up window and drive-thru and patio seating only with misters. Lines can be long at times but so worth it when you take that first bite. We tried several non-dairy options here and everything was so delicious. I'm honestly not much of an ice cream person but I can always find something I like here! They have traditional flavors and some unique ones too. Something truly for everyone. My daughter loves the baby cones even though I'm pretty sure they shouldn't have charged me for it considering she was under the height limit but that's okay. We love the Waffle Bowl Flight which is 4 flavors in a waffle bowl. We had Death by Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut Butter with Buckeyes, Pistachio, and Chocolate. We agreed their classic plain Chocolate was the best out of those, it was the richest. Another time we got the bowl with Double Fudge Brownie, Double Chocolate Chunk, Strawberry, and Chocolate. And still their classic Chocolate was the better out of the bunch. On another visit I walked my dog here a couple of miles and they provided water and a Doggy Sundae for her, this was half a scoop of Vanilla ice cream with a Milkbone biscuit on top. Very sweet, and at no extra cost. For myself, I had Graham Central Station, and White Turtle. White Turtle tasted like melted whip cream with a caramel swirl, wasn't so hot about that one but Graham Central Station made up for it! That's so far my favorite flavor here. Solid! I had seen this place pop up, and kept telling myself that I would check it out. Not sure why I hadn't? Ice cream IS my favorite food! Well, after a dinner down the street, I decided to stop with my mom to get some ice cream. We went through the drive thru and placed our order. I went with a Turtle Sundae and my mom went with a Brownie Fudge Sundae. Total was just under $15.00. Not cheap, but you pay for the quality. Here is how they were................. Turtle Sundae- This thing was delicious! They give you about 2 large scoops of vanilla ice cream, and top that with fudge, caramel, roasted/salted pecans, whipped cream and a cherry! Bomb! Their vanilla base was very rich, smooth and creamy. Damn fine ice cream! There was a decent amount of hot fudge and caramel. The only thing I was a little disappointed in were the amount of pecans. There were only a handful of them in the sundae. They were salty, crunchy and tasted great, just wish there were more, especially for the price of the sundae. Brownie Fudge Sundae- Just like it sounds. Brownie base, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry. This sundae looked bigger than mine. I had a few bites of my mom's and it tasted pretty good. The brownie itself wasn't my favorite though. It broke off and crumbled way too much instead of being a gooey/chewy brownie. Tasted good, but this sundae with a firmer/denser brownie would be way better. Guy at the counter was friendly and the drive through option is nice! The ice cream was definitely premium ice cream and tasted so. Tad skimp on the nuts, the crumbly brownie, and the premium price tag keep this from getting a perfect 5 stars. Will I return though? Arguably one of the best ice cream joints I've been to in a while. I was shocked by how busy it was for a Tuesday night, however, after trying the ice cream I quickly understood why it was so busy. The line was a bit long, but the staff worked fast to ensure that we were not waiting for too long. Additionally, the number of selections they have on the menu is incredible. I must have changed my mind maybe three or four times before deciding on the raspberry chocolate chunk ice cream. So glad I stumbled upon this ice cream shop via Yelp when craving for some ice cream late Saturday night. My first instinct was to go to Dairy Queen or Baskin Robbins but I feel this place is SO MUCH better. First off, they are dog friendly so that's always a win for me. Their patio is wrapped around so there was plenty of bench seating along the sides and even seating options available in the back. Secondly, there are so many flavors! I couldn't even make up my mind because I wanted them all. Good thing, because they offer a waffle bowl flight good for 4 scoops of ice cream in their homemade waffle bowl. I chose: Oreo, double chocolate fudge, butter pecan, and cake batter The chocolate fudge was my favorite My friend ordered the strawberry shortcake sundae and that was amazingly good. One hundred+ degree day in Phoenix, AZ? We eat ice cream for lunch. As I left an ASU West event in northwest Phx, I decided to find ice cream. Bruster's popped up & I was intrigued. To give you some practical details: the restaurant/ice cream "parlor" is a walk-up establishment. There is no inside AC seating options. That may be a turn off for some but I didn't mind & sat on a bench in the shade. My first impression? The young woman behind the screened window, Kristen, exuded confidence in doing her job. I told her I'd never been there before and she happily responded, even as I bombarded her with questions: 1. Is this a chain or locally owned? Yes, Brusters is a chain based out of Pennsylvania. 2. Is the ice cream made on site? They get the base shipped to them and then they mix in the flavorings. 3. Is the banana ice cream made with real bananas? Yes! I can attest to that b/c I tried it. 4. Are their blasts (ice cream mixed with candy) essentially like DQ Blizzards? Yes 5. What is used in the vegan for the base instead of dairy? Coconut milk 6. What is used in the sugar free for the sweetener? Aspartame 7. What other dairy-free options do you have? Italian Ices & sorbets As a first-timer, I love details about places. I sampled the Banana Ice Cream and the Chocolate Peanut Butter with Buckeyes (which are chocolate covered peanut butter candies). Banana was heavenly. Choc PB was richer & more complex with that combo of flavors. The Vegan Strawberry Banana tasted fruity but just not as creamy b/c of coconut milk base. I stuck with one of my die-hard faves, Mint Chocolate Chip, one scoop in a cup. This flavor is refreshing & why I love it. Their dark chocolate chip ratio to ice cream was off the hook! So much chocolate = happy camper. While this is not in my area of town, I'm excited to have stopped in & hope to return on a Thursday, when it's BYOB: bring your own banana for 1/2 off a banana split. Clever promotion! A regular banana split is about $7.50, so do the math & that's quite a savings, especially if you bring your squad in with six bananas. First time trying this place out and I'm glad I did. They are located right on the corner so it's easy to get to. No issues when it comes to parking and they also have a drive through if you're not looking to sit. No inside seating so prepare to be outside enjoying your delicious treats. Most of the seating is towards the back of the establishment. There are a ton of options so if it's your first time take your time as there's a lot to chose from. The staff was super patient as my daughter went back and forth on what she wanted to try and asked for their opinions. We love Brusters! We used to live closeby and would visit often, unfortunately we moved and don't get to go as much but it's still a great treat when we're in the "old neighborhood". Brusters has a great loyalty program that sends frequent coupons. The workers are always friendly and pleasant and best of all the ice cream is delicious. I personally LOVE the chocolate peanut butter sundae and I love that they allow you to choose any flavor ice cream for your sundae unlike other places. The sizes are generous and they always have tons of flavors. I highly recommend going and checking them out but don't blame me when you're addicted. read more

I always order The Flight which comes with 4 scoops of ice cream in a waffle bowl. Today, there were only 2 scoops of ice cream. I asked the lady why there were only 2 scoops. She said there were 4. I can clearly see that there's only 2. She said they are "baby scoops". Well, there's still only 2 scoops! This is what I got for $7.55! I have gotten delivery from here twice and both times... BOTH TIMES... it was lovely and outstanding. A non dairy shake and a regular sundae. Both were packaged nicely and the sundae had the whipped cream, cherry and hot fudge on the side. Hot fudge melts sundaes. It is a known fact. But on the side.... gold move right there. I'm not originally from Arizona and finding a Brewsters that didn't make me want to cry, made a really bad week better. The only reason this isn't 5 star is the non dairy options are a bit limited. There was a fella named Landon working there. I had just gotten done working my 12 hour shift at the bank. What a day that was. Earlier that morning my 3 year old crapped his pants and woke me up at 3am. I got to the bank at 5, worked till 4 pm, then my wife called me saying she was sick and the kids wanted ice cream. Great customer service! Having a sister in the restaurant business it's hard to find good customer service. And this place definitely does a great job! Last night my kids and I headed over after dinner to grab some ice cream. After ordering, I noticed 6 people behind us were getting their order before us. So I went to a different window where they were handing out the orders and explained our situation to a worker. She apologized and realized that the cashier who took our order who accidentally thrown our receipt away. She grabbed our order quickly and apologized again and then proceeded to give us a full refund of our order!! Another apology and gratitude was given for our patience and kindness and the manager handed us the refund! Wow!
