The Ice Cream here is just...well it's just ice cream. There's nothing special about it and frankly it's a bit overpriced for what you get (keep in mind this is a Californian calling it overpriced). We got a scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip and a scoop of Oreo and it was decent, but at the end of the day...nothing about it stands out. The place is drive thru ice cream...need I say more? They have a great variety of flavors. Sorbet and other options too. Free kiddie cone for little ones! Waffle cones are huge. Sundaes are okay. The ice cream is great on its own. They have so many different things that there is something for everyone. Only cons are sometimes there is quite a wait and it can get pricey. As I was reading through the comments people have left, I just want to say that some people should just be ashamed of how they belittle a locally owned business and their employees. Especially since most of the employees are probably still in high school or just graduated from high school. I'm sure that most of the employees they hire have never had a job before, so this would be their first. They are doing their best and as a human being you should be mindful and respectfully to them. As for pricing.... if you don't want to pay their prices then don't go there! Ice Cream isn't something you have to have, its a treat. If you don't want fresh homemade ice cream then go to Walmart and buy their stuff. And for those of you who call their ice cream "bland" or "just basic ice cream"..... ITS NOT! It is HOMEMADE... and MADE DAILY. Again if you don't like it, then just don't. Why do you feel the need to put down a LOCALLY owned business? A business that donates money/ice cream to our public schools and other local fundraisers. A business that I see at a lot of local catering events like River Concert and Jazz Festival. You need to remember that your not just putting down the business and the brand name. Your putting down the hard working employees and the owners of that business, and those people have feelings. If the service wasn't good, then just tell them directly instead of bashing them on the internet. I for one will always be a dedicated Bruster's customer no matter how it looks on the outside, I know those working there are trying their best and in my opinion that's all that matters to me. There was nothing wrong with my ice cream or the service. Both of those were fine, but this place is way over priced. One scoop (barely 1/2 a cup serving) was 4.29 on a cake cone. The cone was stale. Ever been to Graeders in Louisville or Cincinnati? Double the size portion, better ice cream for 50 cents less. read more

I went there in 2012 and the service was great and so was my ice cream. This past summer when I went the girl working the first shift on the day I went (cant remember which exact day) had no idea what I wanted and the ice cream was sub par. I will take my business to Twin Kiss. read more

Really great ice cream. They'll have young employees but they are always very sweet and well mannered. They tend to run out of flavors usually by the time I'm off work and stop by but that goes to show how popular they are! When they don't have the flavor I want they give good recommendations of what I could like instead! read more

So this evening my husband and I went to get some ice cream from our favorite place Brusters. We have never had an issue with them before, and now we will never be back. We drove up and there was only one car ahead of us, no big deal. As we drove up there was a sign placed on the outside menu near the speaker saying "please pull forward the speaker is broken". So after glancing at the menu we pulled forward behind the car ahead of us. So there we sat......and sat....... and sat. So long that the car in front of us proceeded to honk their horn not once but twice. One would think that a car honking their horn would make someone come to the window but no one came. So we pulled around to the front of the building still seeing no one. I walked up to the window and a young blonde female walks out from the back of the store, sees my car in the parking lot(not looking at the drive through or me at the window) makes eye contact with my husband, then proceeds to walk BACK to the back of the store where her and another female and the manager on duty were all sitting on their phones. After seeing her walk to the back without noticing me or the vehicle at the window, I knocked on the window and finally she came back out. I asked how come no one was at the window and if I could talk to the manager. At which point a young boy comes out to tell me he's the manager named Alexander and that he can give me the direct number for the general manager for the store. He goes to the back comes back with a card and as I leave him and the females begin to laugh. I didn't know what they were laughing about till I called the number on the card which was only back to the store. I will NEVER go back to Brusters. Horrible staff and management. If I were the general manager I would not tolerate this type of behavior of my staff. read more

The ice cream is great! The ambiance needs a little help. After getting your ice cream you have to get past the cars coming out of the drive thru to sit on some benches on a dirt slope next to the road barrier and listen to cars go up and down the busy road. Ugh! And no bathroom! Come on! Kids need to go to the bathroom, clean ice cream off clothes, wash sticky hands! The service is hit and miss, but it's always been friendly. I have four kids who all get the same sized cones, but the same person will scoop and send out cones half the size of the previous and vice versa. Then the adults will get a (fairly expensive) larger cone and it will be even smaller than the rest - like they are tired of scooping, so you get what you get. They have multiple boards telling which flavors they have, so I get everyone's order, get to the window and find out they are out of half the flavors they are advertising. I know they get busy, but reach up and take down the flavor off the board!! Now I have to drag kids up there to pick something else and then they will throw out suggests to my kids of flavors that aren't even on the board ....and it turns ordering into a complete mess! No wonder they often have long waits, even with a fairly short line. ....but again, the ice cream is great! read more

I took my kids here as a surprise for doing well during appointments and errand running. The ice cream was great; received way more than any of us could eat in one sitting. The service left a little to be desired; two of our orders were completely wrong, even after writing it down.
