The butter pecan ice cream!!!!! OHHHH MY LORDYY! Went here after taking my cousins bowling, it's not your normal ice cream atmosphere. It gives a nostalgic feel, i love the walk up window and the fact that you can see all of the ice cream tubs. The two employees there seemed young, they were closing up for the night but still super helpful. I loved the flavor of the waffle cone! i know they make them from scratch, it had a subtle sweetness that complemented the butter pecan SO well! The flavor of that butter pecan was melt in your mouth goodness! I am absolutely floored from the deliciousness! This might be a very unpopular review of a community icon but this was my first visit. Bruster's ice cream shop in Newnan on hwy 34 was where me and my two granddaughters ended up after a spaghetti dinner in Woodstock. It was dark and there were spotlights lighting up the area - no indoor seating. ( I think that goes for all of this Chains stores.) we ordered 1 rocky road hot fudge sundae, 1 vanilla shake and 1 scoop of another flavor ice cream. Total was close to $17! It wasn't worth it. Better ice cream can be had at Krogers for a lot less and you'll have "leftovers." Why people buy this is beyond my understanding. Was it bad? NO, but was it great! NO. It just wasn't worth it. Did the young lady behind the counter do her job, yes. But was it friendly and helpful, NO. It continues to amaze me what people will settle for given the fact that there's really no competition out there for stand-alone stores selling a particular item. We went to this location for the first time. It was ok. Only things I'd say were different than usual were the tip jars asking for cash tips for their college kids working, and there were no napkins available unless you troubled them for some. I understand saving the expense of napkins, but it's crazy to have to ask for something to clean up your mess. read more

My wife and I went for an ice cream fix yesterday afternoon. We were disappointed to find the outside location closed but managed to find our way into the bowling alley. There we found slow service without a smile from staff that seemed to be just going through the motions. Our ice cream was very soft, almost like soft serve in a bowl. Ice cream is delicious but the staff has some rude teenagers. Not all bad though some of them were nice. The girl that handed out the ice cream kept yelling out the orders rudely like 3 times even when we were standing right there to grab it. Every Sunday night my family comes here and have never had a problem. Tonight we came for my sisters birthday and our server was Briana. She was rude and argumentative when she got our order wrong. We were ordering basically the same thing we always do, a small waffle cone with two different ice creams. Briana would not listen and put one flavor in the cone my sister ordered but she didn't realize it until we got to the car. I ordered mine next and again she didn't listen to me and brought the wrong thing. I handed it back and told her that wasn't what I ordered. She threw it in the trash and again I told her what I wanted. Finally, my daughter and I were telling her the correct order and she said I wanted one thing and my daughter wanted something else, both the wrong flavor. Both my daughter and I said no. After paying, I asked her name and told her she was very rude and she proceeded to argue with me and I asked her to let me finish. I said we've never had a problem before. She also was very slow and had a smart, sarcastic attitude. Not a good experience and we heard others complaining as well. I didn't even finish my ice cream because I was so aggravated with this girl. We can go somewhere else and spend $20 every Sunday night for a lot better service. (I also usually tip, but not this time.) We will have to think seriously before coming back. read more

The ice cream is great, like all Brusters, no complaints there. With so many choices in Newnan now (Cold Stone, numerous FroYo places, DQ, etc) it's nothing special that you can't get anywhere else. The food is so-so at best. They have Nathans hot dogs, which are decent, but the fries are TERRIBLE. You do get a lot of them, which is typically a good thing, but not in this case. I don't quite know how to explain it - they're big and thick, but have no flavor and are kind of mealy. My wife got some mini corn dogs and said they were so-so. The kids working there seemed disorganized. The first one took our food order on a napkin and had to ask many times exactly what it was we wanted. Then the kid that took our ice cream order didn't write anything down, forgot what we wanted, and had to come back to get the order straight. It really seemed like it was kind of unorganized in there, which is more a reflection of the management than it is the kids working there. read more

I used to love going here, never had any issues before, but today, well that's a whole different story. We stood at the window for a good while before any one of the employees came to serve us, then when we're placing the order which was for two freezes, one mango, the other one lime and then a mnm blast. We got the freezes and one of them was a watered down orange freeze and the other is a really watery PEACH MILKSHAKE, that was supposed to be a lime freeze??? So went to go tell her about the mistake and try to get them remade and I just give up on the lime freeze at this point so we get the freeze back and it's still an orange freeze but at this point it's whatever. I try to pay for the one freeze and the mnm blast, and she tries to charge me two freezes and the blast. After I tell her it's just one freeze bc I didn't want the lime one anymore cause I'd given up on that mess, the lady ringing me up proceeded to get an attitude with me bc I told her it was just one freeze and the mnm blast since I didn't get the other freeze since it was messed up so severely.
