The small-sized ice cream cone, featuring 2 scoops, is actually quite large if you ask me. I can get about 3/4 through before I give up, but man do I enjoy every lick! As for flavors, I adore their coffee ice cream! I do wish it had a stronger coffee flavor, but it still hits the spot when it comes to coffee ice cream. Best ice cream place in the area! Fresh and sooo many flavors. Also fresh waffle cones. They also have pies and brownies and sundaes. There is no where to eat inside, but you can sit outside if the weather is okAy. Have honestly dragged my whole family there in the rain and we all got ice cream and everyone loved it! This place is great! First of all, they have a drive thru. Awesome! I also love how they are so patient if you are unsure of what you want. You can taste and taste and taste till your heart's content. My absolute favorite flavor is the White Raspberry Truffle. It's so creamy and then laced with some raspberry jam that adds just the right amount of tartness to it. The dark chocolate pieces are a bonus :). The butter almond fudge is a very close second if you're looking for something chocolatey without being too rich. The almonds are a great balance too. Lately, in this heat, the ice cream melts super fast and everything gets messy, but Bruster's solved that with their come holders! Super great idea!! read more

I first had Brusters as kid during the summer time in Georgia. Every since then I've loved them. I hate that they closed the one down in Little Rock, Ar because that was near home for me. Then moved to Houston and saw that they have one on the northside. Even though it was far from my home, I had to take my girlfriend to experience the freshness of their ice cream. My first visit to this place . Sat in my car and picked a flavor to try - Apple caramel crunch and hubby picked a Banana Split We went through the drive thru since the regular window was closed due to COVID-19. Both the girls the one taking the order and the other who gave us our desserts were very friendly and helpful - with description of choices and current availability and how to enroll in their rewards program to get deals etc Well ...back to the actual ice cream - My single small scoop of apple caramel crunch was creamy delicious with a crunch and apple flavor - not the toothachy sweet of an apple pie but a swirl of flavor and the right amount of sugar . Best of all, the fresh waffle cone was not eggy at all - All in all a five star experience! Now to the banana split in a cup - my husband took one giant scoop of it - discs of banana swimming in whipped cream and chocolate and cherry and he just sat in the car and closed his eyes ...lol ... while he meditates on its goodness I stole a diff section from the bowl and got vanilla , strawberry and pineapple heaven . Looked around in the parking lot .. in the car parked closest to us a young girl was enjoying her treat too - no cell phone nothing just a girl and her ice cream! The ice cream was great! It had been a couple of years since I had been to this location. The taste was great but they had downsized the fudge brownie sundae. This is the only place I have been to in the pandemic where I had to physically sign to use my credit card. This meant handling a clipboard with pen that everyone else has been handling to sign the receipt. Minus one star for that and minus one star given that the sundae is downsized while price is not. With that said I am glad that they were open, but the more touchless transactions are the better these days. read more

The ice cream was ok, not outstanding. No place to sit down inside even on a hot day. Lots of outside seating under umbrellas but ice cream still got soft even though it was not that hot. We had 2 small cups one lime sherbet and one vanilla and paid $8.55. read more

I saw a couple other reviews where people complained about the price but I saw no issues considering that a small size cone comes with 2 HUGE scoops of ice cream. My absolute favorite ice cream spot! The staff is always so friendly and the owner Chris is the sweetest person you'll ever meet! It's a great place for adults, kids and if you bring your dog they get a free puppy sundae, how cute! You go up to a window and place the order. The ice cream is inside and it doesn't appear that you could have samples, but you can! So do not be afraid to ask. I had two scoops in a homemade waffle cone - strawberry cheesecake and cookies & cream. I thought the ice cream was pretty good, but it wasn't LEGENDARY. I personally think that Blue Bell ice cream is better. But it was still good. The portions are pretty huge. I got a small waffle cone, which is essentially a regular sized waffle cone. Scoops were a healthy size. I was happy. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the mood for good ice cream. read more

The customer service is horrendous though - bunch of giggling high school girls that are more interested in their cell phones than taking an accurate order. Do not be surprised if you're told they're out of your ice team flavor only after you pull up to the window - or after you witness them using their fingers to help put errant scoops of ice cream back into cups or containers.
