After spending a sunny afternoon celebrating my besties birthday with her and a few of our girlfriends, we decided to keep the fun going with some ice cream. Never too old for a random sweet treat! Although we were already in the neighborhood, we lucked up on a day when everybody and their mama were outside, which meant limited parking. So we had to pay for parking on this visit, but ended up making it worthwhile by strolling around Decatur Square with our cones. I When we entered, there was one employee behind the counter and they were so kind. There were a few customers in front of us and some behind us in line, so apparently we weren't the only adults in the city who were craving a sweet treat. The store was so cute and covered in art and clocks created with ice cream scoops. We decided to taste a few flavors that were new to us and the employee was so patient with us. We all decided to go with the honeycomb flavor, and I added on a scoop of strawberry because I believe in treating myself. I was bummed that they didn't have sugar cones, but a waffle cone worked. My ice cream was SO good! And they were quite generous with the scoops. As I'm writing this out, I'm wanting a fresh pint of my own again. Such a great stop when you're craving something sweet!

Seeing it across states is heartwarming, and knowing that everyone else gets to have the delicious flavors that they have brought to my family for years is exciting! On this day, I tried the seasonal raspberry cheesecake just scoop. The shop was empty, except for me coming in and giving it a try, and I was able to sample as many options as I wanted to, with the employees happily allowing it. What differs from the original shops up north versus the one here is the amount of seating inside there were plenty of tables to enjoy with your whole family, friends, or alone like me! I opted for something new and boy am I glad I did. The sweetness of the raspberries and the chunks of cake made this such a fun treat and really encapsulated the season. There's a lovely mural tribute to the location across the wall that I took a picture of to share with my family as well. Janae and Gianna was a tremendous help. Janae helped break down the menu and the different Slushies, flavors, Dole and specialities in the shop.
