This location went above and beyond for a simple lunch order. I placed an online delivery order for a smoothie & flatbread sandwich plus a banana. Their site used a third party delivery service, who only delivered my smoothie. The delivery driver stated the smoothie was the only thing he saw in my cubby, so that's what he grabbed. I called the store directly and they notified me that since the banana I ordered was a bit too ripe, they sat my flatbread aside, awaiting contact with the delivery driver to switch out my side item. The driver didn't confirm the full order at the store so it was unfortunately left behind. To my surprise, after a staff member made a quick call to their manager, they arranged for the manager to hand deliver my flatbread and an alternative side to my job! I was not expecting them to do this but I was extremely grateful for the effort they put in to make things right! This really made my day! read more

I love tropical smoothie but my last two visits have been disappointing. I generally always order online and go in and pick up. I'm usually on my way somewhere and rushing. I picked up my order but didn't start drinking it until I had already pulled off on my way to an appointment. It was all ice and no taste. I couldn't taste the banana or peanut butter. I asked for no turbinato but I wasn't expecting to just taste milky like ice. Right after my appointment which was about 20-30 mins, I headed back and asked that they fix it. The cashier went to the back to speak to someone. She came back and took my cup and put it back in the blender and added peanut butter. My next visit I decided to get half turbinato, this smoothie was straight sugar. I don't think they only added half. I took 2 sips and threw it away. I didn't go back this time. I just threw it away. I stopped in here in the way to work and was not disappointed. The employees are fast and accurate. They are pleasant and helpful. I felt like it took a while to place my order on my first visit. The cashier was so patient and allowed me to take as much time as I needed. They get orders made and put the door quickly. I got an açaí bowl, my coworker got a smoothie, and they were both beautifully made and filling. It was right at $10 also. This location isn't very big, but it's really clean and neat. The area is packed full of stores and apartments, so there's not a lot of parking in front of the store. Most people aren't staying long though so it's not a long wait for a parking spot. read more

Actually went back and had a better experience this time. The Buffalo chicken wrap was good. The problem was only it's kinda small for the cost but the taste was good. This place really does smoothies well and my smoothie was great. The staff is nice and they are working hard. Definitely a lot going on behind the counter. Terrible experience on a recent visit. Ordered two smoothie bowls, one of which was the "acai bowl with nutella" at $11.49. When I got my receipt, they rang me up for an "acai bowl" ($10.49) with nutella added for an extra $1.59 (their menu says this costs $1.29). This combination costs $0.59 extra for the exact same thing. Multiple issues here - the name of these two items should not be this close bc this can happen. If keeping the name, at least create price parity so that no matter which is rung up, it will cost the customer the same. Also, the menu quoted the wrong price on the added nutella drizzle. I wanted to bring this up to the young man who rung me up because this was a very obvious training opportunity for him to ask clarifying questions to customers in the future, but he was busy preparing orders so a different lady handled it, along with the help of another female coworker. Instead of coaching the young man, the situation was met with judgemental looks and condescending laughter as if it was about the $0.59, completely missing the point. Then on top of that, they served us bowls with frozen bases. Not cold, not slightly frozen -- completely frozen solid. How many customers order food with the intent to eat it at least 30 mins later after having to let it thaw? Nonsense. Apparently the bowls are premade so this is all they offer. There is no upfront transparency about it either, you dont find this out until you order. Needless to say I got a refund and went to Smoothie King across the street where the bowls are made to order and NOT frozen. Never coming here for a smoothie bowl again. read more

I live in the area and decided to stop here instead of sitting down for a whole meal. I had meal replacement on my mind. My experience though, was so unsatisfying. I placed my order, then watched as the young woman made my smoothie, then took the orders of 3 other people, then made the next person's order before giving mine. I was waiting at the end of the counter and observed her do this. She was moving slowly and didn't seem to care about getting the orders out, or that fact that she knew I was waiting ahead of the other person. Ordered here from Door Dash. It was early and rainy so we tried to find a breakfast place that was somewhat healthy. This was the closest thing we could find - got the two breakfast wraps - the All American wrap and the Southwest wrap, which looked a bit small, so we added a chicken quesadilla to the order. The Door Dash driver was unfortunately a douche bag but we didn't let that affect our opinion of this place. Located in a tight plaza with limited parking spaces by MOD pizza & a Thai express restaurant. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat one Sunday afternoon. The food & smoothies are always on point. The worker's attitudes were a different story hence the 3-star rating. They need some customer service skills. Sometimes I will mix it up and get the green smoothie too. They offer 2 different sizes and a lot of different ingredients. This is a great place to take the kids if they want something sweet and you want them to have something a little bit healthier. I must say that I was very pleased with the service & cleanliness of the location (90 on health inspection ) I love peanut butter so I ordered the Peanut Paradise. It was so good that I didn't want it to ever run out because I was literally in Peanut paradise! Hands down the best smoothie that I've had from a smoothie chain. Today I ordered the pair & save with the new teriyaki flat bread & the new star fruit smoothie with the kale apple slaw on the side. The flatbread was pretty good but didn't have as much chicken as they normally put in it. The smoothie was pretty good, my only complaint is the cups this location uses. They use paper cups which causes the smoothie to melt very fast, it also is too thin for smoothies so the cup feels flimsy. The kale slaw is always yummy! read more

Great smoothies, I recommend choosing their menu items instead of making your own. DON'T leave tips in the tip jar however. Apparently the owner keeps those tips and the employees receive nothing from that tip jar. If you tip them using your credit/debit card then they get it, likely because there's an official paper trail. I go to Tropical smoothie cafe 3-5 times in a 7 day week. This morning I called ahead and went to get my same order I have always gotten and today when I took a sip from my smoothie it tasted.... rotten. I tried to explain to the girl at the cash register and she, just argued with me. She said things like "Maybe you got the wrong drink, the flavor you chose wasn't a good one. Maybe since its the morning you brushed your teeth and its making it taste different, maybe you are unaware of what the smoothie taste like. Maybe you need to add more fruit..." Then I tried her alternative of adding another banana but, I honestly think there was something wrong spoiled in that smoothie. I offered her to try it. She didn't want to, which is fine.. She then added the banana and it still tasted like something that could make me sick... Then they made me another smoothie, of the same that tasted fine. So, I especially thing that maybe they put something spoiled in the first smoothie. In the end, I had to pay two more times for her trying to fix it and her telling me more like 'maybe, something is wrong with your taste today'. I've never been in this situation at any restaurant... My friend after the fact was really upset I didn't just get a refund, leave, or speak up for myself. Though now, I paid all that $$ (x3) for an order I called in ahead and was messed up...
