Luckily, I did not have to wait too long because Derick got all of our wedding photos to us in under 8 weeks from our wedding day! He captured the love, light, and happiness of the day and these will be photos that we will truly cherish. My only regret is that even though Derick stressed the importance of having someone help gather family for photos, I dropped the ball and because things move so fast, we missed a healthy handful of family photos that I wanted to have. Its always awkward for a bride to have a vendor who she hasnt met yet be such a big part of her special day. I finally got to meet Scott at a Bridal event at the winery just a couple months before my wedding and he was the sweetest guy i had ever met. He was very understanding of the fact that my parents were divorced and might not want to be photographed together and was mindful not to put them close to each other. He told me not to worry about anything and that he would make sure i had the best pictures for my wedding. On the day of the wedding, I was so relieved that Scott was there to do some crowd control. He never once yelled at anyone and was very polite to all my family and friends in attendance. He told me we can do as many poses as we wanted to "because we can". By the end of the night he handed me 2 DVDs with all the photos that he and his 2nd photographer had taken (almost 1600 photos total). My husband and I were elated to see our photos on our wedding night and uploaded them immediately in our hotel room to share with our friends and family members that same evening. The reason i am giving 5 stars is because my husband and I found out some bad news 1 month prior to our wedding which put us in a financial bind. The 2nd photographer was an extra $500 and Scott worked with us on a payment plan so that we can still get the perks of 2 photographers and still make it affordable enough that it did not break the bank. He takes Paypal and was willing to give us some time and was not pushy like some vendors could be. All in all our photos were AMAZING and the quality was EXCELLENT! We were married in August of this year at Cinnabar Hills Golf Club and it went perfectly! Not only was he a great photographer, he was a great support as well. At one point my husband's boutonniere broke in half, and Scott knew exactly how to fix it! He listened to all of our family's input (which was a LOT) and never lost his cool. He took pictures that I wanted, and made sure that I had water at all times. That to me is above and beyond what I expected from a photographer. He not only took the pictures that I wanted, but made sure that my mom and my husband's mom had the pictures that they wanted as well. He knew that my Grandma and Grandpa could not be photographed together, so he was really good about keeping those photo moments separate. He was always available to speak with if I had questions about the actual photos, times, lighting, etc. He was open and honest about what he thought our budget could afford, what we could skip, and what we would should spend on. I priced and interviewed other photographers and it was very clear that Ron was the most forth coming and honest of them all. He brought an abundance of photos of other weddings he had done over the duration of his long career, which proved to us that he knew what he was doing. All of the photos were beautiful.
