I refer everyone to Dr. Weed because of his expertise and his world class care. He is so knowledgeable, thorough, honest, gentle and he is really funny! I have had three root canals in addition to some follow up care from Dr. Weed. He has been so kind and patient and attentive to my anxiety about having a root canal. He has the absolute top notch state-of-the-art technology and he truly is a pro. He explains everything along the way in understandable terms and always answers any questions I may have. I have never felt any pain or discomfort under his care. I moved out of state seven years ago, and I still and always will travel back to Reno to be a patient of Dr. Weeds. His entire staff is superb! They are very friendly and knowledgeable about procedures, insurance, billing costs, and any other questions you may have. His office is beautiful with lots of windows and natural day light. Dr. Weed also has great musical taste and playlists you can enjoy while having procedures done. It is a great experience. I have only high praise for Dr. Weed and his entire team! FANTASTIC!

That being said, for me, going to the dentist is just as ho hum as any other errand where I will be interacting with humans who may be having their own kind of day. Front desk receptionist is friendly and polite and it's easy to schedule appointments. The dental hygenist is friendly and polite. Dr. Colpitts is friendly and polite. Dangit everybody in this whole place is so sweet. I particularly appreciate their straight forward nature and that they didn't try to sell me a bunch of services I didn't need (that has happened to me in the past and I really hate when dentists and their staff pull that kind of stuff - pretty unethical!) so I really appreciated an honest and friendly visit!!! I look forward to my next visit! I do like the bi annual update on what they're up to in the community and whatever new technology is going on in the world of dentitry via newsletter too. Not over bearing but kind of a "hey, in case you wanted us to fix this we can". I recommend this office to everyone.

Very unprofessional dentist. Do NOT bring your children here!…read more 1. one of my first visits Tyson lechner decided to go on about his personal life speaking about the restraining order his ex wife took out against him and how she required supervised visits with his kids because of his mental health issues. Figuring this had nothing to do with his dental abilities i let it slide. But just the first of many off encounters. only dentist that accepted our insurance otherwise i would have left after the first visit. 2. on my next visit, Tyson lechner, on the heels of covid, while face in my mouth, decided to tell me how sick he was the night before, sharing that he was so sick he sweat through his clothes. He said he had influenza B. his dental assistant when he left the room apologized saying even she thought he should go home Given how sick he was just hours before. 3. On another visit, while working on my 5 year old and 6 year old children, lechner decided to talk about how his children loved the smell and everything about death, visiting some place in LA to learn more about it. i uncomfortably joked that my young children didnt need to hear what he was saying. 4. on the next visit, while working in my mouth he was berating his assistant, yelling at her uncomfortably - "how after 6 months do you still not know this??". it left me uncomfortable that they were making mistakes bc she didnt hand him the right stuff. i also felt bad for his assistant. 5. at my last visit, after waiting 45 minutes, lechner was chit chatting in another room while me and my two young children were waiting. unable to wait any longer (had somewhere to be), i decided to get up, say out loud i would reschedule as i had done my part arriving on time (was actually early) and i wasnt able to wait any longer in an annoyed and rushed tone. after i said this, lechner responded "good, reschedule" with the tone of a teenager. this did not make me feel better. i understand dentist offices get behind but his rudeness was appalling for a professional. the good news being they will no longer provide dental care for us. ive got many more stories about lechners unprofessionalism. at one point i considered emailing the dental board. His wife, Marisol, at the front desk, is great. at a dinner party last week and two of the women said that they had the weirdest dentist. guess who each woman was seeing but said they were planning on not seeing any more...

My dentist referred me to Dr. Zeff and I was able to get an appointment that was convenient for my…read moreschedule. The office was quiet and felt "soft and calm" with lowered lighting though not dark either. I was seen immediately and felt welcome and pampered as I was offered headsets to listen to my favorite radio station and a blanket to keep my legs warm as well as something to drink. Dr. Zeff introduced himself (very cute) and began testing my teeth with a nitrogen (nitrogen-like?) frozen cotton swab, heated water, different and tapping and finally biting onto a cotton swab to determine if the pressure of the bite caused a differing unpleasant sensation. Initially, testing indicated that another tooth had been the problem and he suggested that I decide later about having a root canal. I almost took off, but after a second testing, it was determined that we did, indeed, have the correct tooth. Next came the dreaded injection!!! YIKES! As soon as the cotton swab with the topical numbing stuff on it goes in your mouth, you know what's next... just don't look at it! A "little pinch!" Yeah, right. (Actually, he did a great job with the injections, all three... A+) Once numb, I was fitted with a device that holds a plastic barrier that covers the entire mouth, like a barrier, except around the subject tooth. Then, the doctor and his assistant got right to the root canal where they "barbarically" ream-out your nerve/root of your tooth and re-pack it. Thus leaving you with a tooth that will remain yet have no sensitivity to pain. He and his assistant were interesting to watch as I was listening to loud rock and roll music on the radio. They work together so effortlessly; she passes him a tool as he gives her the tool he is no longer using. On and on it goes. She knows exactly what he needs and when he needs it. At the end, he used a microscope-like device to look closer at my tooth, inspecting his work. Once he was happy, he took several digital radiographs and determined that the procedure was successful. He explained that I would need to see my primary dentist within 6 weeks to get a permanent filling or crown put in place. I was also told that I may have some discomfort and that Advil or it's equivalent would be enough. Plus, I was given 2 Advil in a small packet to go. (The numbing medicine has worn off at the time of this review and I am in no discomfort). The appointment was an hour and a half long and I paid (sit down- well I'm sitting down!) $1,385.00 for a rear molar with 2 roots. And that's not the whole thing! I STILL have to go back to my primary dentist to have a filling/crown done... another couple/several hundred bucks. "I wish I'd taken better care of my teeth" as they say.
