I've been to Bryant Bay Area Auto Body twice now for two separate incidents (ah, SF living): once when my car was rear-ended and vandalized, and another time when it was hit while parked. Both times, they went above and beyond in every possible way. Ian, who runs the shop, is absolutely fantastic. He works directly with the insurance companies to make sure you get OEM parts, even when it's not the easiest route. I drive a 2002 BMW E46 M3--not the easiest car to source or repair--and Ian made sure every part was correct, every detail matched, and the result was flawless. What really sets this shop apart is how much care they put into their work. Ian not only fixed the reported damage, but also took it upon himself to repair scratches and imperfections I hadn't even noticed--just because he's a genuinely good guy who takes pride in his work. The service is top-tier: frequent photo updates, great communication, and absolutely unmatched quality. Luis, who works at the shop, is also incredibly kind and helpful. When I picked up the car, it had been polished and deep cleaned inside and out--truly looked better than ever. This kind of attention to detail is rare and deserves recognition. I had my Toyota Highlander body work done by Ian a couple of times, most recently a month ago. He has done such a good job each time. He is so honest that he tries to save me money more than I do. He gave me an estimate of 3 options of doing the work - each progressively more work and thus more expensive. He convinced me the cheapest option will work best for me and my situation. Who does that? And his work is always top notch quality. He also did little extra fix ups elsewhere at no extra cost. The most recent job had to do with the front bumper repair or replacement. The job a couple years back was more extensive and required work at several areas of the car and so it was more complicated. I went to a few other body shops before I went to Ian at Bryant-Bay Area Autobody and found him to be most thoughtful about looking at what the car needed, what work would make most sense for me repair fully and what would look ok without a full repair and made really practical cost efficient suggestions that benefited me. I've used Bryant Bay Area auto body for 3 occasions - rear bumper damage for my bmw m6, front bumper and full headlight replacement for my bmw m850 and a separate incident for full front bumper and left fender replacement. On each occasion Louie and Ian were incredibly professional, approachable, prompt with their quotes, transparent, and communicative. They were easily accessible over email or text throughout the process including sending pictures during the work to keep me up to speed. From a pricing perspective, while either the other party or insurance covered each incident, the final price was within the range they estimated and was reasonable vs. other shops. For the bmw m6 rear bumper damage they got the job done in 1/4 the cost of another shop nearby that also specialized in BMWs Overall I highly recommend Louie and Ian for anyone looking for a couple of nice and honest guys you can trust your luxury car with. read more

We used this shop to make repairs on my wife's car after a collision. Ian was on top of things from the get go, the estimates were done quickly and the work was completed on time.. Even a bit early. They did a fantastic job and her used car looked new (better than before the accident) when we picked it up. The service here is spectacular and the workmanship was superior. I was in an accident that left my car in worse shape than I had ever hoped for. Louie was willing to take my car in and helped discuss the different options for me. unfortunately at the time I did not have full coverage and my Prius I was hoping would last me for the next 7-10 years. After a couple of discussions in person and on the phone Louie and Ian made the near impossible, possible. At the time I was a traveling as a med student through the states and I needed my car more than anything to travel from state to state. I was scheduled to drive to Oregon in less than 3 weeks. Louie was able to get my car up and running again and while they were waiting a few extra days for a particular part, he did some extra paint work at no extra charge. Because of the extensive damage He was very transparent of the cost of every thing needed fixing. He discussed with me what they needed to do, and what they did not have to do and was willing to discuss the charges and trying to get better pricing based on market prices. When the vehicle was finally complete, the car looked like, and drove as if nothing happened. Amazing work done by Ian and Louie and the team here. The staff at Bryant Bay Area Auto Body did 10/10 work on my vehicle. After a few months of my 2019 ford escape getting repaired I noticed a piece of broken glass rattling around inside its rear door. Ian is amazing. I've had the unfortunate luck of needing a car repair on a couple occasions, but I'm so lucky to have found Bryant Auto Body. I have had both out of pocket payments and worked with insurance to get my Mazda Miata looking like new again. He's worked with insurance and taken away all of the hassle for me when dealing with the other insurance company (he's a pro working with them) to make sure everything is fixed properly. When paying out of pocket has found ways to save me a bit of money. In each case he's done a superior job and is very open and forthcoming about the repairs needed. He's such a trustworthy shop, that even after moving to Oakland, I recently brought my CRV to Ian after it was rear ended and he not only remembered me, but took care of everything just as well as he did the first few times I went to him. I'm extremely happy because he even helped to fix an unrelated but minor item near the front grill, making sure my car was in the best possible shape. He also was able to finish the repairs a day early so we had the car before leaving for Thanksgiving travels. I 100% recommend this place of business to anyone in need of car repairs. I came to Bryant Auto Body and Ian on the recommendation of my friend and couldn't be happier with that call. We had a strange leak in the back of our Sienna which he diagnosed and fixed within a few hours of me dropping off the vehicle. The incredible thing is that he offered to buff out major scratches on both sides of the car and also fix the bumper without charging extra because the leak fix took a bit longer than expected.
