Needed a body shop for some guy who kicked my door in. Found Domport since it was close to work and BART for easy access to drop off and pick up. Easy to find and drop off. They dealt with my insurance company so all I had to do was pay deductible. Made it very easy to deal with the whole situation. Attention to detail when they were assessing the damages. Domport got the work done faster than they initially quoted me. The shop hours make it easy for pickup and drop off. They even cleaned my car a bit. Originally I was going to get my brakes changed and he recommended to keep it a bit longer since it didn't need to be changed just yet. He'll make things as easy as possible for you knowing well that getting into a car accident can be extremely stressful. He's located just off of Fell St. I believe his crew has been with him for quite awhile. He works with all insurance companies and has also fought quite a bit for me when the claims adjuster was being unfair. I've never had issues with any of his work. I found my side mirror glass broken 2 days before leaving for Yosemite. Domport was able to get a replacement glass from a dealer in a matter of hours. I didn't have to wait upon arrival, he took 3 minutes to pop the glass in. I was in and out in no time. Domport also quoted me the best price among a dozen other mechanics. I paid 75$, while others quoted me between up to 200$ for the same job. The first, a valet scratched up the front end of my Tesla Model X and they did a good job, so I thought I'd use them again. I scratched up my rims and it seemed since they were a special matte black, nobody wanted to touch them except Domport. Tae is great! Brought my car in a few times to put some aftermarket parts on and to get my carbon fiber clear coated. He's very attentive to detail and easy to work with. Tell him what you want done and he'll let you know if it's doable or not and won't give you some rip off price. Called around to see if I could get my diffuser installed and other places quoted me $500+. He did it for half that. Great place to get your car worked on. Was borrowing a friend's car and noticed the rubber part of the bumper was coming off so I called Domport Auto Body to see if they could quickly fix it for me on a Saturday morning. Not only were they super nice and helpful when I called, when I arrived at their shop they were able to put it back together in better condition in about 15 minutes! They were also kind enough to take a look at my tires (at my request) and fill them up with air after checking that they were all at a really low pressure. Even gave me some helpful tips to share with my friend! Oh, and they refused to charge me for the work, which is beyond generous :-). As someone who really knows nothing about cars, I appreciated their honesty, thoroughness and kindness. P.S. Yelp is still saying that they are located in Hayes Valley, but they moved to SOMA. I requested a quote via yelp and received a response fairly quickly from the owner Tae, he was friendly and quick to set up time to look at my car. Brought my car in around 1pm on a Saturday to see if they could reattach my front bumper from years of slow and steady loosening due to slight taps. Both the mechanic that I spoke to and Tae were reasonable about the work to be done as it is an older vehicle. Post inspection they provide a solution to make it a safe and aesthetically pleasing enough repair and provided a fair estimate. Not even 3.5 hrs later they were calling me to say the repair was complete. When I went to pay, the final price was $50 lower than the estimate which was a nice surprise and very honest of Domport. I am already planning on bringing my car back for some general tuning and maintenance work. Definitely recommend! read more

Tae is an absolute GEM! We've brought our car to him before and had just as great of an experience this time around as well. Was in an accident and the driver side front area got pretty wrecked. Contacted Tae to see if he could provide an estimate--which he did asap--and it ended up being WAY cheaper than what our insurance estimated. Throughout the whole process Tae was super responsive via email, and even took time out to sit down with me and go through the insurance estimate to see if most of the repairs they suggested were even necessary (which they weren't). I never felt like he was trying to upsell me on anything but instead wanted nothing but to ensure that the car was safe to drive. When I went to pick up the car he mentioned that he replaced the battery with a newer used one to give me some more time (the old one was, well, old), realigned the steering wheel because he felt it was a bit off, replaced a hub cap that I'd been meaning to do but never got around to, and washed the car--all at no additional charge. He even helped look out for me when I was backing the car out into traffic (which, doing that on fell street is no joke). My sister recommended this body shop to me. But my experience here wasn't as satisfying as hers. I towed my car here after getting into a car accident on 101 N by Palo alto. The body shop took my car in and checked the car. They loaned Me a car while they work on my car which was great. But once I drop off the car to them. It took them at least 4 months to fix my car. On the 3rd month I kept asking them when my car was done and they just kept saying they still waiting for parts. Later they tell me they accidently backed a pole into my back bumper leaving a hole in my bumper. They cover the hole and painted over it. My sis notice the mark from the paint where they patch the hole and repainted my back bumper. They also left stream of pain on the side of my bumper which wasn't noticeable until I took the home. The paint they use wasn't even the color from the dealership so every time I touch up my paint from rock chips. The color doesn't match the dealership touch up paint. The dealership touch up paint was more darker. So now my car have dots of blue covering dents and doesn't even match my car paint. I would never come back here. read more
