This place is great and convenient when you want a place with ZERO to little reception and lots of nature. If I have to suggest anything I'd advise not to come on weekends if you want to get away because it gets packed and everyone brings their kids and dogs. Also noting that there is WiFi but it is useless because you have no reception I wouldn't advise doing your work out here. We stayed Thursday-Sunday and we met two really nice families and everyone pretty much minded their business. There was an extremely large and loud family in the tents however and they had bright lights and loud music and loud kids up until 10pm. That was extremely inconsiderate but whatever. Quite a couple people come in late so please take that into consideration as well that there will be noise and people unpacking their tents at midnight hrs. One more extremely important thing this campsite has multiple beautiful sweet horses so your dog absolutely HAS to be on a leash at all times.

This is on my list of top recommendations for places to stay if you are going to the Bryce Canyon and Zion area. They went out of their way to find me a camp site closest to my sister and her family. When I arrived at 10 am and check in was at 2 the girl in the office was super nice and let me check in early at no additional costs. Any staff I interacted with was always super polite. The grounds were clean. The bathrooms big and there was hot water in the showers. The pool area was clean. The shop had plenty of selection. And you really can't beat self serve soft ice cream for 1.50. The views were amazing and the horses were fun to feed and see hanging around. All around a great experience. The only negative is it is close to 89 and you can hear the traffic at night. But it isn't awful.

We just returned from a weekend in Southern Utah where we stayed at Bryce Canyon campground. Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles and a hassle free check in. We decided a second site would fit our large tents and give the other couple some space, they were happy to accommodated us, again no hassle. The property is a bit of a drive to Bryce Canyon, however the drive is beautiful and goes by fast. The restroom and showers were clean, outside the restroom is a nice sink area for washing gear or dishes. The grounds are so nice, trees for hammocks and space for corn hole which they offer to guests at no charge, there are also books you can check out and a nice little store if you forgot something. To those looking for a rustic off the beaten path, this isn't the place for you, it does have amenities and is close to a busy road. It didn't bother us as we were exhausted and zonked out. There was a bizarre incident or observed encounter, a site two down from us arrived late (I didn't notice until we saw them the next day) they had two dogs, one large and one small. I observed a blue SUV/Crossover pull up to their site where what I thought I heard was someone ask what their dogs name was, the campers responded and the women in the vehicle then told them to pack up and leave, that there had been several complaints about their dogs and noise. There was no apparent warning or inquiry to surrounding camps about any disturbance. I really felt bad for the campers. I understand and appreciate the campgrounds quick response, but wish they would have asked the remaining folks about it as I am pretty certain it was the couple in the silver van, the women shot us dirty looks as we prepared breakfast well after 7am then they proceeded to leave prior to management showing up and did not return. We did enjoy our stay and will certainly return to this gem!

The amenities alone stand out--clean, well-lit facilities, warm showers, and even heated floors (yes, heated floors!). Everything is thoughtfully provided on an honor system, which adds to the welcoming, trusting atmosphere. When we arrived, we realized we had accidentally booked our stay one day too early. Instead of turning us away, they graciously offered us a boondocking spot and invited us to a once-a-week complimentary dinner for all guests. It turned into a wonderful evening around the fire pit, connecting with fellow travelers. Meeting the owners was an added highlight--they were as warm and inviting as the meal they shared. We feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon this special place in the middle of such a beautiful desert.

Can't say enough about Ashley who checked in on our fur babies while we out exploring the area! She is professional but yet treated our 2 standard poodles like they were hers. We were out longer than expected, sent her a text saying we would be later than expected. Ashley went and checked on our girls providing true peace of mind!! First off, if you're on the fence about going, DO IT! This is a beautiful summer campground, we went June 8-10, 2018 and the weather was perfect. It did get a little cold at night, but nothing that our sleeping bags couldn't handle. The campgrounds here aren't too close together which I really appreciated, but some campsites are more shaded than others. I stayed in B loop, site #48 and it was conveniently located close to the restrooms (which are kept very clean) and the campground host, who sell firewood. People here were very respectful of the quiet hours which start at 10. Keep in mind that there are no showers at this campsite. Also, the picnic table and fire ring are on concrete which I loved SO much and it even comes with a stand for your portable stove and a place to hang your lantern. The campsite also has tent pads that they have leveled out which made sleeping very comfortable. However, the one thing I do regret is not bringing a hammock!! There are lots of trees here. This place is also walking distance to a small lake where you can go fishing and a short 4 mike drive to Duck Creek Village, which has a convenience store, small restaurants, and souvenir shops.

Made reservations online, was able to switch to a different site that opened up very conveniently online if you are on the fence about sites. They have a refund/cancellation policy, but you'd have to check their website for details. Checked in around 11:45am, and lady at the booth asked if next I could wait until check-in of 12pm (ok??). When I walked by the booth later to ask questions, the booth was closed and it was self check-in. Maps available in the covered vestibule. Heated bathrooms were nice, restrooms themselves were decently clean. Stall trash cans for feminine products wasn't overflowing. Outdoor sink for pots/pans (bring your own detergent); someone had left a sponge, which was nice. Bought firewood + starter @ Walmart in prep, and made a nice fire one evening. I did shower at Zion Outfitters twice ($4 per 5 minutes), which is walking distance to the campground (~10 min depending what site). Same walking distance to Zion Canyon Brew Pub, and a ~30 min scenic walk to Springdale.

And then there's Clear Creek Ranch. Smells sometimes escape me (broken nose from a fight at Enclave - something to do with strippers, Ukrainian mob, etc.), but the smell of wood and earth penetrated my senses and settled in as I watched the sun set behind some mountains west. This sprawling lodge had 10+ rooms, bunk beds for the kids and dedicated/shared bathrooms to house way many more people than our paltry group of 10. A kitchen with all the necessities and a wide open parlor that's anchored by a fireplace and a spectacular view of a pond outside and Zion not far beyond. The internet didn't work, but was assured that connection there was usually reliable, but I found this disconnect a welcome feature. No calls, no urgent emails to respond to, no NOISE that we seldom notice as we've become numb to it's incessant need to grab our attention. This was our first time in Zion and we were completely and utterly spoiled. We picked a room that could occupy 4 and settled in. A sprawling fireplace dominated the central common area and was overlooked by a balcony on the second floor that had a second suite of rooms available. The outside patio feature picnic tables and both a charcoal and a gas grill. The property was managed by Gordon, a true to life cowboy whom you'd probably want to throw a few beers back together to hear what stories he had behind smiling eyes. Behind the lodge was a vaunted obstacle course that a sorority was using for pledge week. This is a no holds barred obstacle course that my broken body can no longer dream of tacking, but local law enforcement and military use regularly. The Zion entrance is just 5 minutes away, making this location was ideal. I'm running out of words to describe the magnificence of this place. It's everything and more than a city boy like me would envision of a mountain getaway. I love this place and so will you.
