Thank you all for treating me so compassionately and skillfully. All members of your team were truly on "There Game" today and delivered high quality care - showing that you are all are true masters of the "Dental Craft!" The office is extremely busy and popular; - Late, last week, I was initially given an appointment by the Lead Receptionist - "Luz" for Late June 2023; - My schedule is tricky - so this was the best that they could do - I can only do Wednesday Afternoons; - "Luz" promised me that she would keep an eye out for any cancelations; - I honestly didn't believe her! Yesterday evening, my luck - I got a call from "Luz" with a last-minute cancelation - Yes! - My lucky day! Office is very easy to navigate to and has plenty of parking available for patients. That's a bonus. Come prepared and make sure you complete your paperwork. My amazing Hygienist - "Sondra" - was waiting for me upon my prompt arrival. Sondra was extremely gentle, and it was obvious - by her careful technique that she was a true master of her craft; - She took a complete set of digital x-rays of my teeth and carefully removed stains and tarter using this sophisticated / cutting edge device. Sondra took her time; she was truly extra careful to ensure my comfort and peace of mind at all time. This visit was truly relaxing and painless - I'm not kidding. I can't praise her skills and kindness enough. She did a tremendous job always ensuring my comfort. It was nice to have a Hygienist who was so attentive to the patient. I was evaluated by the "Rock Star" Dr. Eric Seitlen; Wow! - Dr. Seitlen is gentle, energetic and highly skilled. This is a Dentist with personality who takes pride in his craft and is up to date on the most cutting-edge techniques in restorative dentistry. I'm looking forward to working with him and his colleagues in having my first dental implant placed. There was no need for me to be sent off - far away for a CT scan of my mouth; - I could not believe that Dr. Seitlen had this technology available in his office. I was incredibly impressed. I was fascinated with the time and carefulness that Dr. Seitlen's Dental Assistants took in ensuring that appropriate data and measurements were taken of my mouth and teeth. The cleanliness and design of the office is truly impeccable. It is no wonder that this is the Dental Office chosen by the NBA's - Charlotte Hornets Professional Basketball Organization. Front office staff was incredible polite, respectful towards patients. Everyone in the office appeared strong, energetic, upbeat and pleasant. I can't begin to describe the nonsense I have witnessed over the years in various practices throughout this country. I cracked my wisdom tooth, and was having excruciating pain. They were able to get me in 3 days later (my choice because of work), although they were available to get me in the day after I called. I had Dr. Sahil Vasa, and omg what a great and calming experience. I've never had a tooth pulled, so I was VERY anxious, scared, and crying. He came in, very calm, and talked me through the whole experience. I had questions that he answered calmly & thoroughly. I made a good choice coming here, and definitely lucked out getting him as a dentist. His assistant, Kentral, was just as calming & welcoming. She talked to me the whole time, and took my mind off the tooth pulling. When I was finished, all the ladies in the office were so kind helping me check out. They even made me laugh before I left out. It almost felt like home being there. HIGHLY recommend.

Last week, I called for the soonest appt., was placed on hold after they RUN your insurance. They ask you what type of insurance you have before they even send you the link to fill out any paperwork. But they wait until less than 24 hours before an appointment to let me know that they DO NOT accept my insurance coverage. Offering to "refer" me to another provider. When they could have done that when I called them last week(Monday). It takes them an entire week, to notify you that they do not accept the coverage they take over the phone, when scheduling the appointment. If they did not catch it then, then it certainly should have been evident when they received the completed forms. That is a glimpse into how they run their practice. When it comes to something as sensitive for most patients as Dental Work-the Dentist period... You use your own discernment to advise if you want an office that aren't competent enough to complete something as simple as a new patient registration, in your mouth with instruments. Because just as that was missed, they could have overlooked one of my allergies that were written on the same form as my dental insurance coverage. As a result, I wouldn't trust any place they referred me to either.

Worst dental visit of my life. After having a crown placed, continuing to use my old retainer (and…read moreneeding a new one) my bite is misaligned. I had files transferred from my old Dentist per Dr. Walsh's request, including Invisalign (which took 1.5 mo to transfer as it needed signatures & Dr. Walsh works 1 day/week). I waited for review of the files once the transfer was complete- I didn't hear back. I mentioned this at my next cleaning. Dr. Walsh wasn't there & the dentist said they'd have Dr. Walsh call me the following day. I never heard from him, so the next week I called but had to leave a voicemail -requesting a review of my dental records as my bite continued to feel misaligned/uncomfortable. I didn't hear back, called again, this time scheduling an appt for a bite evaluation or a new Invisalign retainer. I was excited for the appt. as the misalignment had been an issue for a year. Dr. Walsh walked into the appointment annoyed from the start. He told me that me having daily awareness & thoughts that my bite is off center is 'a mental issue' & I 'should see a therapist'. He also repeated 'I'm not being a smartass' multiple times. This was something he conveyed before doing any examination. I was mortified & shocked a dentist would speak to any patient this way, especially given the fact I was trusting him to care for me. From the start he'd decided he had no interest in hearing or believing anything I was saying, and labeling me a 'hysterical woman'. It seems outdated a dentist would have such misogynistic viewpoints in 2026. He the told me 'if you want to tell me something thats actually a problem with your bite then go ahead but you are explaining nothing to me' after I explained the issue in several ways. He continued to belittle & talk down to me, even seeing that I was visibly upset. The only examination he actually did was using articulating paper (begrudgingly) halfway through the appointment. He did not ask any questions, he didn't try and understand my issue at any point, nor did he provide any solutions. He told me 'Invisalign cannot fix a bite' and 'the fact this has been going on for 1 year tells me you don't have a bite issue'. Disappointing, considering I tried getting in touch w/ him repeatedly, took the time to transfer my records/Invisalign files.. all while having a newborn baby at home... Dr. Walsh should probably consider the fact his patients have major life changes taking place in their personal life, instead of creating excuses for his own egocentric and false narrative. Dr. Walsh is someone who is unable to take accountability for his lack of follow-through patients who genuinely need dental help. He will be committed to misunderstanding any issue you have, based on his mood that day. Dr. Walsh - do better. Be a kind person, not one who makes someone leave your office in tears due to how you talked down to them. It seems you are the one who needs a therapist. And perhaps a new career.

My boyfriend went in for a consultation and while trying to ask questions in regards to the treatment Mark Petryna was trying to encourage was met with extreme hostility and degrading of the referring dentist. Mark Petryna kept cutting him off every time he tried to speak and trying to convey what his primary dentist had said course of treatment should be. Or to ask a question in general. Mark told my boyfriend the dentist only goes to school for 4 years and he knows more than he does and if he wasn't comfortable he could just leave. This very unprofessional and hostile situation was extremely uncomfortable and this oral surgeon should not be allowed to practice if this is the treatment he provides.

I recently needed to get an estimate for a procedure. Even though I had been in the office just a week earlier and they already knew what treatment I needed, they refused to provide even a high-level estimate over the phone. Instead, they insisted I schedule another appointment because they claimed they didn't have the procedure codes needed to generate a quote. That explanation doesn't make sense to me. It's hard to believe a dental office can't reference common procedure codes to provide a ballpark estimate for a known treatment plan. I wasn't asking for an exact insurance breakdown--just a general idea of what the service would cost so I could make an informed decision. The lack of transparency and the need to schedule another visit just to get pricing feels unnecessary and inconvenient. While I have confidence in Dr. Gebhart, the office's administrative and billing process left me disappointed.

I visited Steele Creek Modern Dentistry and had a horrible experience. First of all I've had…read morehorrible experiences with dentists before. They told me that I had to have a root canal. My options were to get the tooth extracted or have a root canal. I could not afford the root canal so it had to be extracted. I had to wait a few days for it to be pulled because they needed another dentist to do it. Since I was so anxious I had to pay 200 dollars for a pill to calm me down. They said it would work in 30 minutes.... When I got home the medicine kicked in. The oral surgeon was totally unprofessional as soon as he came in the room he brought a boom box and was paying Reggae music as he ripped the tooth out of my jaw. He put some bovine stuff to help the jaw heal in case I wanted to get implants later on. Fast forward to a few days later I notice that there it is a piece of bone or something really sharp under the skin. Months later the site is STILL PAINFUL!!! I decided to switch dentists and went to Enhanced Smiles in Gastonia. The Dentist told my that I probably didn't need the root canal. The tooth next the one that is extracted doesn't need a root canal while the dentist at Steele Creek Modern Dentistry. There is now a gap of two teeth missing ( another was pulled before at another dental office. My new dentist could not believe that the dentist at Steele Creek Modern Dentistry would not try to help me with the gap. The Steele Creek Modern Dentistry dentist told me that I'd have to come back as soon as possible because my teeth were so bad... the dentist at Enhanced Smiles helped me with some fillings and told me that the teeth he was talking about were actually okay for example, I did not need the deep cleaning etc. The office staff are really nice, but the dentists were really unprofessional and I left the dentist in worse shape then I came in . I would not recommend Steele Creek Modern Dentistry to my worst enemy.
