Uriel is a great barber in Downey. Knows his way around manual razer and takes his time.

I have had great haircuts here for several years, when I used to live in the area. Not a bad price for $11 a cut.

Horrible experience today. Waited for 1 hour. My son and I did not get a haircut. We waited for 1 hour before giving up. What a waste of time. 3 barbers, only 4 customers before us and I can't believe they never even got close to helping us. How do they stay in business? I am not even sure how much they charge because there are no signs but they take about 45 minutes per customer. If there is even 1 person in front of you expect to wait forever. My son was waiting and no one else was there before us. Then a customer shows up as one of the barbers was finishing up. My son gets up and the barber says "the other guy was here earlier and went to the bank." Okay, I understand that, but we had already waited for half an hour before that other man showed up. I wasn't happy especially since I had already waited for 30 minutes. So now we had to wait for another barber. One barber seemed like he was close to finishing, but never finished, and we waited, and nothing. Meanwhile the man who was getting a haircut on the first chair with an older barber, was still getting a haircut 45 minutes later. I finally decided that the eternal wait wasn't worth the stress. I would advise anyone who wants a haircut at this place to make the appointment 1 year in advance because it really did take forever. It's a barber shop, not a beauty salon, perhaps I should spend the night outside the shop to be the first in line when they open in the morning as if the new Jordans were coming out. The last time I went I waited about an hour and a half and the only reason I waited that long was because it was late and my son started school the next day and I admit they did a good job but I will not go back here again. The eternal wait is horrible and deserves no stars since they didn't even help me. If you have kids, don't go here, just imagine waiting for 1 hour with your kids with you. No way. read more

I will never come here again, i wish I had read the reviews before walking in , I feel bad for writing this review but I'm sorry I have to. I read barbershop and I walked in to do my beard. When I looked around did not looked like the right place for this so I asked if they do beards, they said yes, I should had followed my instinct and not stayed but I like to support local businesses so I decided to stay ... well they really don't do beards, this is like a place to get a haircut for your kids maybe, but not for beard grooming etc. I should have known better but now is to late , they irritated my skin and they cut my neck skin with one of their hair cutting machines plus on top of that they did not do a straight line, I'm so disappointed. They did the entire job with machines not scissors. I never walked out of a place soooo fast in my life!! I went in just to ask a question, and this old man who thinks he's funny or was trying to be funny idk. wtf my son let his hair grow out for 6 months and when he wanted a haircut i took him to this place he was super excited to get a mowhawk he had gotten a mowhawk from here before so we went again but this butcher totally jacked up my kid he cut his hair super short only stopping when i ask what the hell he was doing he was rude and unapologetic the lady manager offered to fix it but when my son began to cry i told off the bastard and walked out without paying DO NOT GO HERE IT SUX!!!! This is ONLY based on my experience TODAY!! I have been there twice before to get my boys haircuts. Delilah cut their hair once and a guy (don't know his name but he's the only guy there), the second time. It's been GREAT!!! Today, however, was a totally different story. I was hoping the same guy would cut my son's hair but he was busy with someone else. Delilah doesn't work there anymore so I settled for the only other lady that was there (I believe she's the owner because she walked out of the office area and her daughter was there with her). She COMPLETELY butchered my son's hair!! He's a teenager so I let him do all the talking, but he was VERY clear on what he wanted. From the get-go she seemed to be moody and when my son told her "I want the front short enough that it doesn't curl but long enough that I can comb it", she said something along the lines of "Well it's gonna be like that no matter what". In hindsight, I wish I would've been paying attention because that would've been where I stepped in to say "thanks but no thanks, we'll wait for the other barber". She started chopping away and when she was done, the other barber (the guy) was STILL working on the same guy he was working on when we got there! That's how fast she chopped my kid's hair! NOT happy!!! Next time we'll definitely wait for the guy to cut my son's hair. I don't know his name but I will find out. He does a great job!! read more

I am so disappointed that in 2016 barbers can not cut curly hair, I am going to call marinello barber school and request these the rookies to take a curly hair only lesson. Very unprofessional and refused to do service. Next time I'll put relaxer in my hair before coming. Prejudice is alive in this location. Curly hair folks stay away. read more

I was looking for a Barber shop that wasnt too pricey. My sons' barber in Norwalk had changed locations. I found his place and the really like it the lady who seems to be the owner is fast and does a great job, as well as a shorter quiet hispanic guy, but that guy picks/calls his next client whether you were there first or not (gotta speak up!) There is a tall hispanic guy that seems new because he always takes forever and doesnt do that great of a job. Over all its a decent place. read more

Don't waste your time or money here. They don't know how to cut hair & their customer service is just plain horrible. I see from previous post I'm not the only one. This place is truly embarrassing. First off, only 2 of the 4 or so barbers are good in this place. From my time going there, I've given them very simple directions that I myself could do without many experience. The two that do their job well, can do as I asked very fast, smoothly, and efficiently. The rest of them on the other hand, they either go very fast and leave a sloppy job or they just tug and pull on my hair all the way through with the same results: Sloppy. This place sucks i'll never go again.I've gone there a couple of times only cause its close to my house then thee other place i've been going to for years.First i took my son when i told some lady there how i wanted the sides cut short about a 2 cause his hair grows fast she made this face like i was crazy and ended up going with a 3.Then the last time was there which is gonna be my last,i showed some guy a picture of how i wanted it,an under cut to the side and told him to only cut very little on the top well he ended up cutting everything short lol!!.
