This was one of the best po boys I've ever had in my life!! I'm somewhat of a connoisseur, as I'm used to the po boys down south in new Orleans and Atlanta. I got -shrimp po boys (x-tomato) with fries -one of each sauce -peach cobbler On my 15 minute drive home everything was still fresh and warm and crispy. -Fries were SO perfectly seasoned I almost didn't even need a sauce, which for me is crazy as I need a sauce with everything (but I always try it first without). -The po boy...my god. It was so crispy, fresh, the shrimps were perfectly battered (hate when they hide the shrimp between 10 layers of batter), the lettuce was fresh and surprisingly not wilted by the time I got to my destination. I'm not one for cheese on my po boys, and almost got it without, but im actually really glad I kept the cheese on. -Sauces were all great, the Roumalade is where it's at though. I could've really just had 10 of those and been happy! The tarter was a bit less zesty/tart than what I'm used to, but I ended up putting the hot sauce in it and it was delicious -peach cobbler i have yet to try, but it looks so glossy and creamy, will be eating tonight! The service was really just the cherry on top. Elizabeth, the owner, is the one who greeted me, and she was just a doll. She's a sauce queen, like me, so she made sure I try every single sauce! And gave me the peach cobbler on the house as it's my first time there. She's just the sweetest! You can tell her, her husband, and her son just have so much fun together. I'm just so warmed by my experience there, as she went so above and beyond, AND my food was impeccable. I'm quite the critique with my food, and only rate honest to what I feel, and this place deserves 5/5 stars hands down. read more

I stopped by here recently as this place had been on my radar for a short while. I'm going to preface a bit by saying there aren't enough great or even good quality places for fried shrimp and fish in the burbs. That said, this place impressed me upon my first visit. I stopped in for lunch to pickup a large order or shrimp and fries. I was greeted by Elizabeth initially. She insisted that I upgrade to the plate instead which included cole slaw and potato salad for a small extra fee so I proceeded to lock it in. Shortly after, her husband Kenny greeted me and we had a friendly talk for a while. They hooked me up with an additional side and drink (they did not have to do that) which I thought was a very kind gesture. My food came out prompt, hot and fresh. I ate a few shrimp and fries while there before hitting the road. Everything was crispy, seasoned well and appetizing. I ate the cole slaw and potato salad later at work and enjoyed each. Overall, this is a business I'd certainly return to in the near future. Cost is very competitive and on par with most places so this is a reason to further recommend them. Tried this place with husband recently. I got the cod filets which were very tasty. They have a number of specials on their menu. Primarily fish, chicken wings, Cole slaw, etc. Price was very reasonable. The restaurant is small, free parking in front. Would get the fish again! read more

Customer service is excellent and the food is delicious! Elizabeth, (owner with her husband,) is so friendly and warm. She makes you feel welcome and that hospitality is not something you can take for granted these days. As for the food, it's not the heavy, greasy, thick battered kind. They use a cornmeal coating which makes it light and crispy. We ordered shrimp, catfish and perch. Also a side of coleslaw. I would typically order a dinner entree but I'm trying to cut back on eating French fries so I ordered everything a La cart. Everything was enjoyable and yummy. I mentioned that I was planning to make my own tartar sauce. Elizabeth insisted I try theirs and gave me some on the house to try. Loved it!! It had a hint of ranch I believe. I pass this place everyday and wanted to go. Finally made it. The customer service was nice. That was the best part. The food was not good. I ordered catfish nuggets which were hard and overcooked. I ordered french fries which were hard and overcooked. Some of the fries were so hard that I could not bite it. I ordered shrimp which were ok. My wife got catfish which she said was too salty. I tasted, wasn't that salty to me but like I said it was ok at best. The mild sauce was something they make. I've never tasted mild sauce like that. They should rename it. I have been frequenting this place for several years now. It is a take-out chicken and seafood place with very good food. I usually order chicken or 2 piece cod fish dinners. The wings are always a good size, nicely seasoned and crisp. The cod comes in nice sized pieces, crisp coating and very nicely seasoned. My hubby LOVES their catfish (and wings too). We always order food to be prepared with lemon pepper seasoning. The dinners come with fries and coleslaw, and their cole slaw is especially good when fresh. The only reason I rate 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the service. The service is pretty good once you walk in, but over the phone, not so much. I often feel like I am bothering the person on the other line, and they just don't sound warm and welcoming over the phone (this could just be me). The biggie for me is that they are not always open during their posted times or close early. This has happened a lot over the past year. However, when they are open, the food is delicious, you get your order on time, and it is right. I definitely recommend, but call first before you go. read more

Me and my Mom was looking to get some shrimp and seafood and stumbled across this place on google .. I looked at the menu and instantly thought "similar to jj's but Ik they know better" and baby they DO. Food was ON POINT. Catfish was flavorful seasoned well tender and ACTUAL CATFISH NOT SWAI . Shrimp was seasoned very well tasted way better than a lot of fried seafood places in the city. Wings wasn't small they were meaty sauces are all homemade and on point. Fries seasoned all reheat certified. Their spaghetti and dirty rice were extremely good too, homemade. No pictures to show because the food is gone but most importantly the service I received. Elizabeth and her Husband(the chef) made sure I had everything I paid for made sure the food was worth it and treated me with nothing but respect. The wait is 20 mins but your food will be fresh. This take out joint has my favorite fish in the area. When we first moved here all we heard about was Village Inn, and they did have decent fish, but the breading was so thick, it gets to be too much. This place has a perfect breading, light, crispy, and the seasoning is excellent. You get quite a bit for the price and they have great fries too. I shouldn't really know this because I am allergic, but the shrimp is addictive, cooked similarly. They also have tasty homeade desserts, that you should not ignore. B's is the place to go for fried Shrimp. This was our 1st time there and we ordered a pound of jumbo shrimp and a pound of regular shrimp. Both were tasty but we both preferred the jumbo order. The fries were crispy just like we like. Not soggy or burned. The cocktail sauce we asked for was mild and it was great. The flavor really complimented the shrimp. We waited about 15 minutes for our order to be prepared and it was well worth it. You can't go wrong. My wife also had an order of greens and said it was well seasoned and good. My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time and everything was absolutely delicious. We had a half pound of catfish and a small shrimp dinner and the food was all seasoned perfectly and very crispy. They make their own sauces and they were fantastic. Food I order the catfish Po-boy and catfish sandwiches. They would have been really good except for the fish had a burnt or overused cooking grease taste to it. The sandwiches was not prepared to my specifications. I asked to have cheese left off and the sauces on the side so I can add at my taste preference. Service The young lady that answered when I called was very kind and helpful. If placing orders on line I would call ahead to make sure they are open. I had an order that was accepted on a day they were supposed to be open but was actually closed. I had to go through my bank to get a refund. I saw this place just open and I always go to the city for catfish. So I stopped by the place is clean and nice inside. The staff are super nice. I ordered a couple orders of catfish meals and I got some by the pound too, I also got the fried shrimp and there sauces are good. Both experiences I not only received great customer service but they went above & beyond to make me feel special. The food is amazing. I got the jumbo shrimp which came with sauce but I didn't even want to use it because the breading tasted so good. My boyfriend got the wings, said they were in his top 5 & loved the hot sauces. We got the perch today which was also exceptional. I caved from all the deserts on display and got the lemon pound cake too. It had a mild & sweet lemon flavor and the cake was baked perfectly. Found out they do "soul food Sundays" which is a whole family style dinner and sounds amazing so looks like I'll be going back again very soon. Lastly, there is a compliment jar by the register.
