I've had them do several things for me, starting with some tree removal when we first bought our place to most recently completing an essentially fresh irrigation system installation after the existing one (probably a DIY special) finally failed. He did this for roughly half the quote I received from another company, and completed it quickly and professionally. It would appear with growth of the company, supervision and quality control have taken a back seat. I found my self having to constantly supervise the crew, spot check to find them hiding debris in under the hedges and in the parking stalls. Phone call repeatedly goes to voicemail, with no return calls. I understand this had a lot to do with basically company getting larger, and Tony did not have the time to do quality checks anymore. After a year of trying to resolve all the issues, the association was forced to look for another contractor. I am hopeful Tony get this all straightened out, because when he is on his A game he does deliver. read more

A water sprinkler head in one of the common areas was damaged while they were cutting grass. A few days later they installed a new one but failed to test that it was working properly. The result has been water spraying on parked cars instead of the grass. It's been over a week and they haven't fixed the problem. Poor service quality. read more

He is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. At first he came by to give me an estimate to redo my landscaping. My husband had declined on it. Then I did call him again because one of my sprinkler heads was busted. He came right out that morning to replace it. Quick and affordable. The third time I called him was for an irrigation valve leak (flooded my green box). He came out to examine it and turned off my main irrigation water line. Quoted me for replacing 5 in line valves. Said to have it dry up till Saturday (5 days later) when he could do the work. No show. I'm bummed and sad that he didn't show. I've wasted 5 days waiting around for nothing. It's now a week after the initial meet up. My grass is drying out faster than ever. He's a nice guy but the communication was never there. I texted him that Saturday morning and I got no response. He answered the phone and asked me what I needed, I proceeded to tell him what the problem was and then he asked me where I was located...when I told him the city I lived in (which is not far from Ewa Beach) he sighed and then said what's your address? I was appalled! I told him I'm not just going to give him my address without discussing if my problem was something he could even fix and discussing possible times for him to come out. Then he proceeded to ask me, "What's the problem again?"! H-E-L-L-O where you not listening the fist time I explained it to you??????? I simply replied, "That's ok goodbye." If you are looking for a professional team of landscapers, this is not the one. We have been using BT Landscaping for about two years. For the first few months, the crew did a great job. However since then the quality of service has sharply declined. In just the last year alone, we have had to replace one professional bait trap (~$100) and now have a cracked window. The inspector from the insurance company said that based on his 20 years of experience, the window crack was caused by a string trimmer (BT uses string trimmers). These two issues aside, the crew does not take their trimmings with them, instead filling up the trash bin. When left in the heat, this really leaves a stink in the bin. Also, on two separate occasions, we paid to have BT Landscaping clear weeds on the back hill. They did a good job clearing the hill, but did not do anything during follow up visits to keep the weeds down, hence, they have grown back each time. The weeds choke the water from the sprinkler, and the palms are dying as a result. We've attempted to contact them multiple times for service, but it takes an inordinate amount of time to get the crew out there to do the work. It can be hard to find a good landscaper in Hawaii that is bonded and insured, and the owner of the business is a very personable guy. Unfortunately none of this matters if the work is sub par. Take my advice - take your business elsewhere. read more
