I was referred to Dr. Grace by my boyfriend. I have an acupuncturist I've been seeing for years, but they are far from where I live so I was willing to try someone new. Dr. Grace is calming, friendly and super informative. It is nice to be able to discuss in English since I don't know the Chinese words my other doctor would use. If you are a first timer then she would be a good doctor for you to try. Wear shorts and a tank so you don't have to undress much, so she has access to acupuncture you! I suggest showing up a little early to fill out paperwork. As of July 2022 the initial body acupuncture is $125, the return is $79. IMO acupuncture is better than just a massage for $20-100 so this is reasonable. After completing paperwork we went to a room and chatted. She asked me a questions, took my pulse, looked at my tongue then we talked more about my pains/problems. She was so knowledgeable with the info I gave her! She explained my liver was weak and my spleen was overactive. She explained more the symptoms (craving sugar and pains in body) and they matched the issues I have, I had previously googled I think its called "liver qi stagnation" about myself but it was nice for the doctor to confirm it during our interaction! Treatment: I lay on a table and she showed me how to massage my head for TMJ, did trigger point acupuncture on my shoulders/traps that are always super tight. It was awesome, kind of sore, but relaxing for me. She then put needles in various parts of my body and rested for 30 minutes. Other medicine stuff: She told me she would be prescribing me a powder and to eat more bitter vegetables (like dandelion leaves.) I was scared of this powder due to bad experiences as a kid, so she gave me a not too extreme version. I took 2 tsp with warm water 3x a day. I messed up that schedule, but I finished it. Honestly it was not too bad, tasted like herbs from Chinese chicken soup without the chicken. Overall, it was a great experience and I am happy to go back for more treatment. It is exciting to know that hopefully I can fix some of the pain I have with eating better & holistic medicine along with acupuncture. read more

Came in after doing research for a well versed acupuncturist. Was having upper arm pain as well as some other well being issues. Grace asked a lot of questions and then figured out an approach. I'd had acupuncture done years ago but not in my legs and arms. Wasn't too uncomfortable or painful and results were well worth any discomfort. After one visit, I have a lot more motion if movement in my arm and feel relaxed and less stressed. I still have some healing to do and will be seeing her next week. Dr. Han is a fantastic acupuncture practitioner! I went to her for support during my first trimester of pregnancy. As soon as I walked in I felt welcome. Dr. Han was thorough in her assessment and very knowledgeable. She gave me sound recommendations on how to care for myself and my little one and provided a several fantastic sessions. I found during my time with her, that the more unpleasant pregnancy symptoms (nausea, insomnia etc.) were well controlled, and I felt refreshed after each session. Was having some shoulder/back pain from working at a computer all day/everyday for work. I came to BT Wellness and Grace was so easy to talk to. I've had a couple appointments with Grace so far, and I highly recommend her. I'm pretty picky about my practitioners. It's so difficult to find the right mix of professional, friendly, and knowledgable. She made me feel comfortable right away, and the space is clean and comfortable as well. I have had sciatica ever since I started my career. I'm always in my chair rarely getting up and have the worst posture. Every once in awhile my sciatica will flare up and will last for a few weeks and go away. Recently my sciatica flared up and was so unbearable I had a hard time doing anything. I couldn't even get a good nights rest. I started taking OTC pain meds to help relieve the pain but those didn't work. I went to my doctor to see if she had any recommendations and those didn't work too well either. I spoke with my co worker about my pain one day and he told me that I should look into acupuncture. They suggested a place in Los Angeles but that was too far for me with my schedule so I decided to look around in my area. I found BT Wellness and thought I would give it a shot. Plus the website said that they give free consultations. Grace was amazing. She gave me a consultation, not ever once pushing any treatments on me, and tried to actually give me tips on how to relieve the pain on my own so that I wouldn't have to get treated. I decided to get treated anyways and I finally got the rest I needed! I can't say exactly what she did as I don't know anything about eastern medicine, but she did use this infrared heating lamp and that was amazing. She was honest and said the treatment wasn't going to fix it permanently and that I will most likely flare up again unless I change the way I sit and begin to move around more.
