I first saw Dr. Clayton over six years ago for persistent lower back pain that had reached a 7 or 8 out of 10. Beyond the adjustment itself, he spent time understanding my lifestyle, exercise habits, and movement patterns. He gave me exercises to strengthen areas where I had deficits, but what impressed me most was that he identified the true source of my pain: I wasn't breathing correctly. He taught me how to breathe into my diaphragm, which improved my core stability, reduced the load on my lower back, and ultimately eliminated my pain. I am in a patient of Dr. Clayton for a few years now. I never thought of giving him a yelp review. Today has I was doing some of my stretching exercises. I tweaked my back and the pain was intense. After years of working construction my hips and shoulders were in bad shape. After finally getting a desk job my body went soft. So after about 40 years of killing my body, then getting soft sitting at a desk for 10 years, I'm feeling weak, I head into retirement feeling exhausted and in pain. My son recommended I see his chiropractor for some help. I never thought much about it because I would never let anyone crack my back. I definitely was wary of the whole thing. Wow I'm so glad I went. I meet the doctor and we go over my issues. He first adjusts me. Starts pushing and pressing and OUCH. I'm starting to feel my tightness loosen up. With each adjustment I feel better. Maybe I yelled a few times because I had never experienced some of these techniques. But it was all in fun. If you're thinking about getting treatment do it. Dr not only gives you an exercise to do at home but he shows you what muscle and joints are being strengthened by the exercise. I'm walking better and farther than before and he helped my shoulders in a way I didn't expect. I just completed a year and a half of treatments and I'm confident I know what needs to be done to maintain and to keep getting stronger. I no longer have pain bending over or turning my neck, which stemmed from my lack of exercise after delivery and constantly breastfeeding with poor posture and bending my neck to breastfeed. He blends multiple disciplines as needed into his treatments such as chiro, cupping, and targeted exercises. I highly recommend visiting Dr. Clayton for your chiropractic needs! I have avoided seeing a chiropractor for a long time for weird reasons or another, worrying about it hurting, not being able to stand the crack sounds, etc. (It turns out its a lot less loud than you would expect) After having back pain off and on for years (and working at a desk all day doesn't help), and after causing some sort of flare up in my lower right back, a number of friends insisted I should see a chiropractor while other friends told me how awesome they are and that the adjustments feel great. I finally caved and I am glad I did. Dr. Clayton is awesome. He understood that I was nervous and didn't do any adjusting without first making sure that I was comfortable or okay with it. I then caused pain in my lower left back. Dr. Clayton will try to figure out the cause of it with you, and it turns out it is my odd way of sleeping when I am on my right side. Between that and working at a desk all day, he has instructed me on how I should sleep and he has provided me with what stretches and exercises I need to do in order to ease or alleviate the pain. I have not been this relieved of back pain in years. If I start to get pain or a flare up, I work on the stretches and tips he has provided me and it helps. If I ever get a flare up or pain that won't go away, I can come in and get it fixed as well as come in for periodic adjustments for maintenance. I had surgery for a shattered wrist in 2020 from a car accident and thanks to Dr. Clayton my wrist is also in the least pain it has been since the surgery. He helps alleviate my wrist pain as well as loosen the scar tissue that is there. He makes adjustments on my fingers to help with the arthritis I get. My fingers have always hurt more often than the wrist itself after the surgery due to the amount of use. He has shown me stretches for this as well while I wait until my next maintenance appointment. They offer "Free consultation- initial patient exam" but the receptionist/front office lady refused to make an appointment without having approved insurance. She hung up on me while reviewing my insurance and then never called me back after confirming my phone number. She also refused to give the chiropractor a message and flat out rejected my request to have the doctor call me back, saying "he's too important and to busy" to talk with you... ever. I definitely would not recommend this chiropractic office. I'm glad I made an appointment here with Empower, i was in pain with my lower back the beginning of December of 2023 (sciatica) I was paired up with dr Jess. She did some work on me and taught me some simple stretches, man I'll tell what a relive as back to my old self again in the matter of weeks. She is amazing very friendly and knowledgeable. Now that my lower back is back to normal it's amazing, I now know the key is to stretch and excerise and stretch. On January 18 th I fell asleep in a chair and through me neck out I figured it will go away but it did not. My neck pain went from the side of me neck to the back of me shoulder blade down to my left arm up and over my left collarbone. This is the worst pain I've ever felt. So I went two weeks with this pain and I walked in last week for an emergency appointment and got right in. I meet with Dr Clayton, and he fixed me right up and now I feel amazing. After calling several places, this place provided us with the best option under our insurance. The lady I spoke with over the phone was nice, informative and didnt give me the run around like other places. Facility is clean, spacious and has good energy! I started going to Dr. Clayton about two months ago for back and hip pain. My wife is a fitness trainer, has been going to him for a while and recommended him. I'm 70 years old, very active with various forms of exercise (surfing, kettle bells, yoga, biking, running, swimming) but raised in the old-school "no pain, no gain" nonsense which has taken its toll. Dr. Clayton immediately assessed my condition, adjusted my hip and back, and started me on a gradual progression of exercises including correct diaphragmatic breathing, core body exercises, weights and exercise balls. He would actually demonstrate himself what needed to be done, correct my attempts, and also have me take a video of him doing it so I could duplicate that at home. Additionally, he suggested handouts and videos he has made for proper form. I have been diligent in doing what he recommended and have noticed a major reduction in pain and a wonderful increase in core strength which is helping me in all my sports. My 13-year-old daughter is a very active club volleyball player and has been seeing Dr. Jessica in the same office when I go. Dr. Jess is a former college volleyball player herself and knows exactly what my daughter needs for injury prevention, strength building, and even motivation and encouragement. I try not to hurt myself too often, but when I do, I'm SO glad Dr. Clayton is on the team! He knows the human body so well, that he can isolate an injury, and show you on a 3D model the exact piece of tissue that is affected.
