I came to see Dr. Claire Lee because I was suffering from Gout. Usually my flare ups would occur on my left toe but as the years went by I started getting it in my ankle and knuckles. I went in for a consultation because I was getting gouty pain on my left hand for 3-4 months without it improving regardless of taking medicine from my doctors and trying 5 day juice cleanses. Dr. Lee was able to identify the problem right away and clearly explain to me the reasons for my symptoms. She treated me right there for my left knuckle and after 20 minutes the pain in my left knuckle reduced by about 80 percent and I was able to clench my fist all the way. Before coming to see Iris, I had persistent lower back pain and for 3 months I saw my primary doctor for meds and tests however the pain continued. I was stumped as to how or why I had back pain because I've never had problems with my back before. My friend told me about acupuncture and recommended Iris, so I called her and fortunately she was able to see me the same day. Iris is a wonderful person! To have her as an acupuncturist is a blessing because she genuinely cares for your health and she understands the journey from having chronic pain to being pain free through acupuncture. In our first session, we discussed all of my health issues and for the first time ever, my health was examined as a whole. Here are some of my health isssues to help anyone determine if they may benefit from acupuncture: lower back pain, migraines, lupus bone pain, poor digestion and menstrual cramps. I've had 16 acupuncture sessions so far and recently started taking herb medicine. My lower back pain is gone, my lupus bone pain has significantly decreased in pain level and frequency, and my migraines haven't been much of an issue since I started acupuncture. My cramps are somewhat manageable but I hope to see more progress as I continue with acupuncture. I'll admit, I was not fully on board when I started acupuncture and now I swear by it because of how much progress we've made. Received great results from my treatments. I came to the Clinic with severe pain in my lower back. I had previously seen my Primary Care Physician who prescribed pain pills to alleviate the pain. The pills did not work what so ever. My Son-in-law recommended I try acupuncture and he knew of a place. He made a phone call around 10am on a Wednesday morning to A+ Clinic and spoke with Iris Lee L.Ac. She told him to bring me in right away. Upon meeting me and listening to the description of my pain symptoms, Iris suggested I receive three treatments and they should alleviate my pain. I was a bit skeptical, but said ok. My pain level was a ten out of ten when standing from a sitting position to standing. So severe it would take me 2 to 3 minutes to adjust to the pain before I could walk. O Iris took me her treatment room where she explained further what the process (acupuncture) entailed. By the time she had finished (45-60) minutes later I did not feel any further pain. She explained for me to rest for the remainder of the day and return again in two days. I was to mildly stretch my back muscles every so often. The pain had returned later that evening. I returned two days later. Received another treatment. That evening the pain had returned but this time was significantly less. I was told to return again after a full weekend. I returned on Monday afternoon for the third treatment. Amazing that now the pain was gone. I was able to stand and sit without any pain. I have been pain free all week since my treatments on Monday. I am a bit stiff, but no pain. Wow! If you experience back pain, or any kind of pain I highly recommend You go see Iris to see if she can help. read more
