Since they are neighbors, it is quite convenient for me to take my truck next-door to get worked on so I have been doing that for the last pretty much five years back when it was pointed as tire tires. About two years ago, I took it back because I had an emissions issue and they charged me like $380 to fix it but they did not fix it. Since then, I have taken it back literally 15 times to get it fixed! I still have an emissions issue. I cannot get my vehicle inspected unless I just happen to get it on a time that the emission light goes off! Furthermore, I took it in a couple of weeks ago and they had it for four days to fix a few things, one was a brake light simple you would think Two was my tire pressure sensor, which would be simple you would think Three again was the emission light and four was to have the brake line flushed Ever since they flushed the brake line my brake light and my anti-traction lights have been going on They charge me almost $100 maybe a little over to fix my vehicle lockout shifter and guess what, it is still not working. They charge me maybe $70 to fix my rear brake light which is still not working! I had an appointment for a week and dropped it off this morning at 8 AM when they opened and it sat in the front parking lot for two hours. I then sent them a message saying what the heck is going on why is my truck still in the front parking lot when I had an appointment so they conveniently moved it to the back parking lot thinking I would not walk around the block and see that it's still in the back parking lot at 1:13 in the afternoon They said they would get to it when they got to it, but they have been too busy. Somebody else was in front of me. Well, I would think after 15 times in I would be prioritized to get it done! Now I am over $600 and into getting this thing fixed and it's not fixed and mini mini mini mini mini days without my truck and it is still not fixed so I picked it up and said I'm going back to the dealership. They had many reasons why they could not get to it. I'm so tired of it. ... Burt Brothers might be a good company, but South Salt Lake they don't have mechanics they have parts changers when I was leaving the store, the other gentleman that was standing there that he had the exact same problem that his car had been in there several times for the same issue

That's where Alex came in. From the moment I walked in, Alex was polite, professional, accommodating, and incredibly informative. I explained that my Sprinter camper van is HEAVY, I've only owned it for about a year, and I wasn't sure if I needed a rotation, balancing, road-force balancing--or possibly even new tires. And trust me, I gave him every opportunity to sell me something. I was completely upfront that I didn't personally purchase the tires--the previous owner did--but they were purchased from Discount Tire. I even told Alex I was more than willing to pay for the road-force balancing if it wasn't covered. Instead of trying to upsell me, Alex spoke with his manager, came back, and told me the road-force balance would be taken care of at no charge because the tires were originally purchased through Discount Tire. Then he gave me even better news: I still have roughly 20,000 miles of tread life left. That kind of honesty says a lot about Alex and this entire location. They easily could have tried to convince the out-of-town guy with the big camper van that he needed four new tires, but they did the exact opposite. If you're looking for a tire shop in Salt Lake City where the staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and actually interested in taking care of the customer instead of just making a sale, this Discount Tire location is the place to go. No pressure about that at all. My car's stock size tire is abnormally small, and would cost nearly $100/tire. They were knowledgeable enough to know which size up would actually work with my car and saved me around $40/tire. On top of that, my fender was out of place in a way that made the driver's side front tire rub against it, we drove it around the block and could hear it grinding and popping and came back immediately. It was then half an hour past closing and they both stayed to try to make this right. They were able to actually pull my fender back into place and my car is driving perfectly smooth now. I cannot sing their praises enough. Not only were they amazing, but an employee on his way out to go home took the time to tell us how good of a manager Daniel is. When the employees talk about a manager like that, it means that manager is doing a lot of things very right.
