Unfortunately I didn't get to snap many pictures, but had a pleasant experience at this place. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I assure you it is much nicer on the inside. Parking is a bit of a pain however. As for the restaurant itself, it was very clean and tidy inside. I was quite impressed with the attentiveness of the staff there and also how speedy the service was. We did not wait very long to get our food, however it was definitely still very fresh. Seems like it's run by a family. The food itself was very tasteful. You could tell it was actually authentic. The portions or just a tad small on some of the dishes in my opinion, for what they were priced at. But not too much of an issue. My friend and I have been coming here for years for lunch whenever we're in Etobicoke, alternating between this restaurant and occasionally a Japanese sushi restaurant next door. But when we walked in this week, we discovered that they had increased the price of their lunch special by several dollars. I realize inflation has taken a toll but this seemed excessive. There's another VERY popular place more North in Mississauga, but having eaten there recently, I prefer this place. The other "popular" location's dishes are much, much sweeter. Menu is concise and clear, waitstaff were polite, and food came rather quickly after ordering. There was a complete page of curries - which do not come with rice. I ordered the Tamarind Curry as I've never seen it before on other menus. It was good! Instead of the white onion, I wished that there were some bamboo shoots in the dish. I wasn't able to eat the entire dish as although it looked like one portion, the curry sauce itself was a rather rich! I tasted the Pad Thai and noodles were nicely cooked, taste was spot-on! Amazing! I can confidently say that this is my all time favourite place for Thai food. I've been here already twice and I'm still obsessed with this place. You definitely need to give this place a try if you're in the area! What I've tried and my thoughts on them: - Red curry - probably my favourite dish. I've ordered this twice so far and I absolutely love it. The curry sauce is the perfect consistency and spice level and it pairs so well with any of the meat options in my opinion. - Khao Soi - love. Very filling and has a good combination of textures. The crunchy wonton(?) noodles work well with the saucy rice noodles. - Pad thai - classic. The dish is very good here and is quite authentic. You can request to have the dish served in an egg omelette. - Mango curry - very unique but tasty. My friend ordered this and I tried some and was quite impressed with the taste. It's nothing too sweet - it has a good balance of sweetness and savoury. Get this if you want to try something different. They also have other sweet curries for those who are adventurous (pineapple, lychee) - Thai iced tea - so good! You can't not have one of these with your meal, trust me. - Mango sticky rice - another classic. Perfect for sharing with everyone. Most dishes do not come with rice, so you would have to order it separately on the side for a few dollars. They serve white jasmine rice and brown rice. The noodles start off crispy but soften with contact with the sauce. Addictive. I will try the Khao Soi dish next, which was recommended. The BEST Thai place I've ever been to. I've never been to a Thai restaurant and thought, "Oh my god, I have to come back!", until this place. The pineapple fried rice is just the right amount of fragrant and savoury. The pad thai was the best I've had out of all the Thai places I've tried. Lastly, my lemongrass soup noodle was super satisfying, as the soup had plenty of lime and lemongrass flavour in it, to make it tangy and delightful. The Thai iced tea and Thai coffee were also delicious. The place is family run, and serves authentic Thai food. I can't recommend it enough. read more

I had a bad experience with Mango Red Curry with Tiger shrimps . Shrimps were smells ROTTEN . When we asked the manager for a help with a problem- she started to argue with me about it!! We are regular customers are Bua Thai, as it is the best Thai restaurant in the area based on our experience. The restaurant was renovated a few years ago, which was a nice improvement. Two skylights provide plenty of natural light in the dining room, and nice artwork adorn the walls, providing a pleasant dining experience. Parking is available on the street either in front of the restaurant, or at the parking area on Dayton Ave and The Queensway. To start a meal, I enjoy the variety of the Bua Platter, a combination of 2 chicken satay, 2 spring rolls, 2 summer rolls, and mango salad. The Vegetarian Platter is also very nice, consisting of 2 tofu satay, 2 spring rolls, 2 winter rolls and Thai curry salad; please notice this platter is not vegan, as the Thai curry salad has egg in it (although I'm sure they could easily make this platter vegan - my spouse was just surprised that the platter was lacto-ovo vegetarian). The Thai Stir-Fry with Tiger Shrimp is nice; the vegetables are fresh, and the sauce reminds me a lot of what we get at Chinese restaurants. For curries, my favorite is the Red Curry (Gang-Dang) cooked in coconut milk with bamboo shoots, peas, carrots and basil leaves; it has a rich flavor and the regular level of spiciness provides a nice kick for my taste. I've also ordered the Green Curry (Gang-Kiew-Wan) cooked in coconut milk with bamboo shoots, peas, carrots and basil leaves; it tastes good, but is more bland compared to the Red Curry. For fish, I've ordered the Grilled Fish (Pla-Pao), whole red snapper seasoned and stuffed with lemongrass and Thai herbs, wrapped in tinfoil and grilled; the menu indicates that it is deboned, but my experience indicates otherwise. The fish is tasty and tender. When I feel like having something healthier, I enjoy ordering the Grilled Pork (Moo-Yang) or Grilled Beef (Nuer-Yang), sliced pork or beef tenderloin seasoned and marinated with garlic, black pepper and Thai herbs. The grilled meat tastes lean - while not overly dry - and has nice flavors. For noodles, I personally do not enjoy their Khao Soi (soft egg noodle in yellow curry topped with crispy egg noodle); there are numerous better restaurants in downtown for this dish. For dessert, the Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango is a large serving that can easily be shared among two people, but leaves a bit to be desired in terms of flavor; again, there are better restaurants in downtown for this dish. The food served is not comparable to what we experienced in Thailand, but it is a nice neighborhood restaurant offering honest dishes at reasonable prices. Service is very friendly and polite. They never packed the mango salad which we had ordered, and also we repeatedly mentioned that we are vegetarian, and still one of the dishes had chicken in it. We called back asking for a refund for that dish. They took the credit card details and never put it through. Prices are fair and the restaurant is very clean. Service is attentive and friendly. It's located next to several other restaurants so finding parking out front might be a bit difficult. Anyway, I am so glad that I finally visited this place. The decor is very nice inside. The service is also great. We had medium expectations about the food, but that turned out to be wrong. Now I am not a Thai food fan. Primarily went due to popularity vote from the family, but oh boy, was it good! It was the best Thai meal I ever had. My brother frequently visits all the premium Thai joints in Toronto and he found this place comparable or even better. We had three different curries and they were all very tasty. I ordered the Cashews in Mango sauce with Shrimp and thought it was very yummy! I wish there was more cashews (I love cashews) and the saw was slightly less sweet. Overall, I enjoyed it. We also ordered the pad thai and my boyfriend was not a fan of it at all. If you want pad thai, go to Sukho Thai. I promise it will be amazing. We also ordered another thai basil noodle dish (I forget the name). It's also known as drunken noodles. I thought it was decent. I've had better. But, definitely decent. I am big fun of authentic pad thai but there is so many ketchup based pad thai out there which I hate. However, this place also served the ketchup one. When I asked the waitress, she said they can give me a authentic pad thai which based on tamarind sauce! No extra charge. .....I LOVE IT. Chicken and shrimp was very soft....well cooked. Food was good and inexpensive. Started with the Summer rolls and Spring rolls, both of which were average. Summer rolls were made with chicken which was interesting. Four of us shared four dishes: Pad Thai Hor Khai (wrapped in egg) - This was tasty and I liked the egg. Seafood was a mixture of shrimp, cooked mussels, octopus, etc. Panang (Peanut) Curry Chicken - Delicious. Soya Rice Noodle (Pad See-Ew) - I'm normally a huge fan of Pad See- Ew but the noodles were overcooked and not a whole ton of flavour. A decent dish overall but probably wouldn't order again. Thai Basil Beef - A nice hint of spice and good flavour. Way more veggies than beef. With the four dishes, two bowls of rice, and two appetizers, our bill with tax came to about $18 each which I think is pretty reasonable. I've been to Bua Thai twice now, and both experiences were good. The service can be a little slow, but not terribly so. The prices are pretty in-line with other restaurants in the area. The menu selection is fairly large. I met a friend there for lunch today. She had the Tom Yum soup, we shared crispy WonTons, and both had the Crispy Tamarind Chicken with sides of Coconut Rice. Everything was tasty! You do have to order a side of rice separately, which is a small irritation. I'm used to Thai restaurants providing a side of Jasmine rice (at least) with the entree, and giving you the option to "upgrade" to sticky rice or coconut rice for a small charge. I ordered some kind of red curry which was just a tad too spicy, but alright overall. Someone mentioned they liked the pineapple fried rice, but this dish fell below my expectations.
